I think I didn't make myself clear. My bluetooth device is paired. If I turn the device OFF while keeping it ON in the iPhone 4, and later on come back and put the device ON, the iPhone doesn't find it. The solution is to turn it OFF in both the bluetooth device and the iPhone and start again, which was not the case with my previous iPhone 3 and is a real pain to have to do this each time... Any one familiar with this? Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing that you turned off the iPhone 5? If so, then are you using the same phone number as the 5? You need to go into Settings>Messages>make sure that iMessage is turned on and activated. Then go the Send & Receive and find out if your current number is checked.

As the title I want to check locks held by a specific thread. How can I do this? In Java lock is acquired and release automatically by stating synchronized keyword. I have no idea on how to check the lock status and who owns whick lock.

Look for the method:
public static native boolean holdsLock(java.lang.Object);Its in the java.lang.Thread class. It will check the lock status for an object for the calling thread.

You said you purchased it from istyle in Dubai. Since you didn't purchase it directly from Apple or from an authorized carrier, there is no telling what you got. You purchased a gray market phone.
Apple sells unlocked phones directly in some countries, not all. The question of whether it would be locked or not if you bought it from an apple store is academic. That's not where you bought it. It's also too vague to be answered since you don't specify what country. Apple sells both locked and unlocked phones in some countries, including the US.

Did you buy the iPhone as an unlocked iPhone? Did you buy it from a carrier or subsicized by a carrier? Did you ask to have it unlocked by the carrier if it was a locked iPhone?
If this is a GSM iPhone 4s you can simply try a sim from another carrier and see if it works. If it is a CDMA iPhone 4s it is not likely to be an unlocked iPhone.

I have not been able to get A3's "Import GPS from iPhone photos" to work with my iPhone 4, I get an empty list of photos. A3 is able to import photos from iPhoto 4 without any problems but I'm not able to get the GPS data.
I'm not sure if it is an iPhone 4 or iOS4 issue, I tried my old iPhone 2G and "Import GPS from iPhone photos" is working fine.

Where are you seeing this "Import GPS from iPhone" option?? I just tried importing a picture directly from my iPhone ,and it correctly had its place marked on the Places map. Am I misunderstanding what you all are trying to do??
