How to check app versions before updating
With the update of itunes 11.0.3 the update apps has changed. I get a view of all the icons of apps needing updated and if I click on one it gives some info about the app (version and whats new). However, it does not show which version of ios the app requires. I do not want to update any apps that my ios device does not support so how do I check this before deciding to update?
what used to be links to the store page for the app are now only links to a basic description of the update and no indication of the ios version required.
Ctrl-click the app in the "Updates"panel and select "Show in iTunes Store" from the pop-up menu.
This will give you the full description from the iTUnes Store page. Scrool down to the bottom of the page "Information". You should see something like this: Look for "Requires".

how to check which version of hyperic is installed , hyperic 32 bit or 64 bit version on solaris
If you have only a single home, the quickest/easiest way is probably just to check the properties of %ORACLE_HOME%\odp.net\bin\2.x\oracle.dataacess.dll
Or are you asking how to check it at runtime?
If you want to see externally what is actually loaded by an app you can use process explorer
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
If you want to check it in the app itself:

Hope it helps,

how to Check ADI Version With Patch Number?
Hi,
To find-out the version of 'Web ADI' , there are two methods
Method : 1
+. Login to Oracle E-business Suite and using 'Web ADI' , create a Document.
+. When Excel is launched with the created Document, a Menu is created on the Toolbar in Excel called Oracle (in between Data and Window).
+. From the Oracle menu select "About". A pop up window is displayed with the version of 'Web ADI' (something like 8.x.x.x)
Method : 2
+. Login into E-business Suite as System Administrator
+. Once the Home Page is up, paste the URL below into the same Browser window (replace hostname, domain and portnumber as applicable)
BNE ADMIN Servlet for 11i
http://hostname:portnumber/oa_servlets/oracle.apps.bne.framework.BneAdminServlet

AnuHello All,
Everyone is asking how to check the release stand for Dart in 46C. The answers are ok over Se11 but there is a little more to it than looking in se11 like in the releases 47 and newer as in 46C the type group is hidden.
Here is how to find the release information:
47 and newer: SE11 Type group enter "Dart1" and view. The info is under Dart release
46C Se11, click Utilities and choose "other Dictionary Objects" enter Dart 1 in typ group
Hope this helps everyone out

Regards,
SaumyaHi,
Check this link which may help u:
http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-basis/igs-upgrade-1455477
The installation/upgrade procedures for the integrated IGS are as follows:
Integrated Version Installation
The integrated IGS is automatically installed with the SAP Web Application Server.
Integrated Version Upgrade
You find the upgrade files for the integrated IGS version on the SAP Service Marketplace:
http://service.sap.com/swdc ® Download ® Support Packages and Patches ® Entry by ApplicationGroup ® SAP Frontend Components ® SAP IGS ® SAP IGS .
There, you find the IGS executables and libraries (igsexe_.sar) as well as the IGS folder structure (igshelper_.sar) containing among others font files.
With the upgrade files of the executables and libraries, proceed exactly like you would with kernel patches (for example, extract the Archive to the same location). More information about kernel patches can be found in the related note 19466 in the section Copying and Installing a Patch.
The upgrade files for the IGS folder structure must be extracted to the instance directory (DIR_INSTANCE). More information can be found in note 1028690.
After a restart of the Web AS the new IGS is up and running.
Information about finding out your IGS patch level is provided in note 931900.
For an upgrade of an integrated IGS please also check note 896400.
For more info check this SAP Help doc:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/4b/72d43ac66e1f08e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Hope these helps u...

How to lock a row before update using UPDATE statement ?
I want to lock a row before updating using the UPDATE statement! is there any "reserved word" that I can append to an update statement so, that the row get locked!, also, will the lock gets released automatically once the update is done or do I have to explicitly release the lock?
how can I do this ?
any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Srini.For detail information, see http://otn.oracle.com/doc/server.815/a67779/ch4l.htm#10900
The lock will be released by "commit".
FOR UPDATE Examples
The following statement locks rows in the EMP table with clerks located in New York and locks rows in the DEPT table with departments in New York that have clerks:
SELECT empno, sal, comm
FROM emp, dept
WHERE job = 'CLERK'
AND emp.deptno = dept.deptno
AND loc = 'NEW YORK'
FOR UPDATE;
The following statement locks only those rows in the EMP table with clerks located in New York. No rows are locked in the DEPT table:
SELECT empno, sal, comm
FROM emp, dept
WHERE job = 'CLERK'
AND emp.deptno = dept.deptno
AND loc = 'NEW YORK'
FOR UPDATE OF emp.sal; -

Where or how to download JRE version 5 update 23 or higher?
Seeing that this is a Sun forum devoted to the Java JRE, there must be people here that can answer these questions:
a) why are there updates to Version 5 higher than update 22 being developed but not being made publically available?
b) what is the lowest cost option that would allow me to have access to these higher versions? What is the name of the Sun/Oracle product that will give me access to those higher versions, and what exactly is the price?
c) Would the "Java for Business" product give me access to Version 5 update 23, and what does it cost? (A few months ago I tried to get information about Java for Business, but none of the links worked, and a chat with an on-line agent proved fruitless). You already asked this question in another subforum and received an answer:I asked the question in the wrong forum (a solaris JRE forum, not a Windows JRE forum). I realized that when I did not receive a useful answer. I already knew that Version 5 Update 22 was the last public version, and when I expanded my question to ask WHICH PRODUCT would give me access to any higher non-public updates, I was met with silence, and then I figured that asking the question in a Solaris forum was probably not a good idea anyways.
I see that you are continuing the legacy of not answering my questions by putting forward the idea that they have already been answered. That's too bad. I expected more cogent and useful information from this group, but obviously I'm asking about something that is either taboo or that goes right over most people's heads here.
Not even a single response about Sun's "Java for Business" product - what it is, how much does it cost, and does it contain the Version 5 updates I'm asking about. -
