How to check data in Data Target Browser against a Excel sheet data
Hi Experts,
I have two Data Targets with CUSTOMER as field. I would like to compare the CUSTOMER records in both the Data Targets. I saved "Data Target 1" to Excel sheet.
Now, I am thinking that somehow I need to load this Excel sheet into the "Data Target 2" to verify matching records for CUSTOMER. Let me know if this is a possibility.
Also, what would be a better way to get the list of all the matching records for CUSTOMER in two different Data Targets.

Is Customer is the Master data, if so then goto SE16, give ur master data table name /BIC/Mtable name, then execute, In the results page>menu bar> Edit>Download> Save file in Rich text format-->export the data.same way u do it for other one two.

i am working with excel sheet with following records

and i saved it in emp_details.csv
after that when i write following code to make control file

after this pl\sqldev returning me error message that ORA-00900:invalid sql statement

Create the control file as a file and then use that to load your data with SQL*Loader from the command line.

Thank you very much for looking into my thread.
Actually i followed everything that is been mentioned in "http://avdeo.com/2008/05/21/uploading-excel-sheet- using-oracle-application-express-apex/" and i got a successful result.
But, with the above process I can only upload a .csv format excel and not a .xls format excel file.
Thats where i got stucked and unable to find any clue on how to move further to achieve in uploading .xls file.
It would be very great if you guide me through in this process.

Me and a collegue is administrering our new enterprise BI portal in SharePoint 2013 (On Premise) and have a problem with using a specific Excel file including general ledger data as data source through a BISM file.
This particular BISM file can't be saved without getting the error message "There were errors found while validating the page: Cannot connect to the server or database."
BISM files against other Excel sheets and sources (for example SSAS tabular databases) works well.
Can anyone help us pinpointing whats wrong here, this is a really important stakeholder in our organization requesting this reporting?

I need to export excel data to SharePoint 2010 list. I have created 22 columns in list which are of following Column types:

Now i need to export the excel data to SharePoint list.
When iam trying to copy data from excel to List , it is showing as "The selected cells are read only".
can someone guide on this to export spread sheet data to SharePoint list without importing Spreadsheet.

Under what conditions, "Enable background Refresh" option will be disabled in Data Connection properties.
I got one file, which has this option disabled and I need to enable this option.
Please helpThis property in the connection can only make sure the pivot table to refresh the PowerPivot data have already been loaded into PowerPivot from external data source rather than keep PowerPivot data the same as external data.

How does Check Names in the Target Audience picker work?
Can anyone tell me how the Check Names button in the Target Audience picker works? We are having problem with a specific audience in one of our web applications. I don’t think the problem is the actual audience though:
The Target Audience is a global target audience named ”XYZ”. It is compiled and contains member. When an article is tagged with this audience all works fine as long as we use the Audience Picker dialog. But, when using the Check Name button the audience
is not saved. This happens when I edit properties on the article (not customized UI) and also when I edit the article in a customized UI. No ULS messages.
I have read that the Target Audience Picker searches for matches in AD Distribution groups, SharePoint groups and Global Audiences. When we write “XYZ” in the audience field and presses the Check Names button one suggestion is displayed, named “XYZ”. When
I write “XYZ N” and press the Check Names button several suggestions are displayed: 4 “XYZ” and a couple of other suggestions “XYZ xx…” etc. We have no SharePoint groups starting with “XYZ”, we have no AD Distribution Groups starting with “XYZ”, and we have
only one Global Audience starting with “XYZ”. Where are all the “XYZ” suggestions coming from? Can anyone help, please?
We are using SharePoint 2010.

The target audience picker is similar to people picker, it searches the content of User Profile Service to find the matching users or groups.
I did a test based on your description. In my testing, everything worked well.
Please check whether there are some users whose display names are like ‘XYZ ***’.
Please create a new global audience using a different name, compare the result.

Inserting dates in mm/dd/yyyy format in excel sheet
I am reading data from sql server 2005 which returns dates in the yyyy/mm/dd format. Now I have to insert this data into an excel sheet and it is supposed to be in the mm/dd/yyyy format. I tried converting the date formats in java but when I insert the date as a String the program throws
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] Data type mismatch in criteria expression.
If I try to insert it as a java.util.Date or java.sql.Date it also includes the timestamp(which i do not want ) since thats the way MS SQL Server returns it in the result set.
Someone said using PreparedStatement would help. How?
