How to check Exchange smtp relay logs successed/failed

We have a quite a few servers in the company that allow to relay smtp through our current Exchange environment. Often time, the recipients did not get those messages that was send out from our SQLservers. We would like to get these logs from Exchange to see
why those messages were sent from SQLservers that did not go through. Is there a way to track those messages?

Hi ThaiFL,
Any updates?

  • - How to Check Exchange Rate History -

    Hi,
Is anybody knows the name of the "exchange rate history table", for I would like to check which user have modify the rate, in which I can't check it in change log. Thanks for your help and time.
    Cheers,
    serene

    Dear,
It is the sytem current behaviors that "show history function" doesn't work for Exchange Rates and index window.
But You could run the Financials > Exchange Rate Differences report to check the difference.
In the Selection Criteria, set Execution Date 01/08 and
select used Currency. The Exchange Rate Differences window will show the difference for each BPs and Accounts, to double click the one line, Line Details will show the all transactions for each account.
There are some differences if the transaction use old exchange rate (such as 0.1234) since we have the current exchange rate (such as 0.1238)
If the transaction use the new exchange rate 0.1238, then the difference will show as 0.
Wish the information could solve your issue.

That command seems to work for me.  Do you get an error when you run it?  What happens?  To answer your second question, the limit of the databases, the maximum supported size is about 16TB. Best practices are to keep the database to under
a 2TB or even smaller depending on your backup and recovery objectives.

  • How to check Exchange rates are daily updating in BW

    Hi All,
How can we check whether currency exchange rates are updating from R/3 to BW.
If not how can we update daily from r/3  to bw in Background Job?
How can we do manully in BW?
    Thanks in Advance,
    C.V.

    Hi,
First of all check what time and how frequently the R3 system gets updated with the new/changed exchange rates. Depending on that you'll need to fix up the timings after the R3 system has been updated.
If you use PCs or any scheduling tool you can easily schedule them in the background using the background jobs.

  • SAPROUTER - how to check if SAP is logging in ?

    Hi,
after i have created a message and opened connection for SAP in Marketplace, while waiting for their reply on the solution, is there any log i can check to verify that they have connected or are connecting to my system via saprouter ?
i know a way to check is to check the logon status of the ID we provided to them, other than this what else can we check ?
comment and advice will be highly appreciated.
    thanks.
    regards,
    kent

karan & ashutosh's answers are the approach of checking the logon status in application or at OS level which i already know, anyway thanks for your suggestion.
vamshi, well, logbook is a good place to check the status of the logon which i didn't make use of last time. i just did and found that it isn't that accurate also. because today SAP had problem logging in to my system via telnet 5250 connection, just now i checked the log, the status it shows "Log on" but actually they didn't manage to logon. later when i restart my saprouter and asked them to retry to logon, they manage to logon, and the logbook status also shows "Log on". one thing good about this logbook is it does show me the name of the SAP support who logged on.
sergo, yup this is the way, it shows the time when it connects and when it disconnects, it shows the IP from SAP and the IP of my server that they are accessing. i had activated the log from below link, now only know how to make use of it.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/4f/992ed3446d11d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm
well, with the log from both the Logbook (marketplace) and saprouter i can tell WHEN and WHO logins to my system via saprouter.
    thanks all.

  • How To check in Ironport log which is server is giving bad response to SMTP connection?

How To check in Ironport log which is server is giving bad response to SMTP connection?

You probably want to create a new log subscription for "SMTP Logs"
    Go to System Administration/Log Subcriptions.
    Click Add Log Subscription
    Pick SMTP Conversation Logs.
Pick a log name (will be the folder name that gets created for the log files)
The defaults for the rest should be fine... maybe tweak rollover...
Make sure to remove it after you're done, its going to eat space and probably a little proc... its VERY verbose, but it should show you what you need.

  • How to check the success/failure of e-mail sending from Sharepoint?

    Dear Expert,
I connect Exchange 2010 and SharePoint 2010. When user create workflow in sharepoint, it will send the email to confirm. if it's done. but I checked from user they didn't get the email. I would like to know how to check the success/failure of e-mail
    sending from Sharepoint?
    Thank you

By default, there is no logging mechanism in SharePoint for outgoing mails.
Mails in SharePoint are sent by giving an SMTP sever IP address in Central Administration. SharePoint never sends email directly. It relays or routes mails to the SMTP server. So, logging should be done in the SMTP server itself.
There is also another way of doing it. You can enable SMTP service of IIS for sending emails from SharePoint, which would also just relay the mails to an SMTP Server. But in this case, you can enable logging in your IIS SMTP Service. Please visit this blog
    for more details.
In your case you need to check your exchange server for any failure for relaying mails.

  • How to log successful logins to a syslog server in NX-OS

Does anyone know how to do this in NX-OS?  I do it in IOS with the following commands:
    login on-failure log
    login on-success log
    logging x.x.x.x
With that I get a syslog message that I can then log to a file to track who has logged into which device and when.  But I can't find the syntax to do the same thing in the Nexus switches that we have.  Does anyone know what the equivalent commands are?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
By default, failed logins are logged.
You can checked the log using:
show logging logfile | last 15
and for every logging failed (by default) you will get something like this:
    2012 Dec 18 14:51:08 Nexus5010-B %AUTHPRIV-3-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_aaa:Authentication
failed for user en from 2.2.2.1 - login
To get the success-login to show up in the logs we need to increase the level of the authpriv to 5 (it is 3 by default), and doing this will add a new log for failed or succesful connections.
    Use the following command:
    Nexus5010-A(config)# logging level authpriv 5
You can check loggin levels by using:
    #show logging level
After you do this with the logging level you will see in the log something like this when a succesful login takes place:
    2005 Jan  6 03:29:48 Nexus5010-A %AUTHPRIV-5-SYSTEM_MSG:    admin :TTY=unknown
    ; PWD=/var/sysmgr/vsh ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/bin/strings/proc/18340/environ
    - sudo
Now for a failed login and after increasing the authpriv level you will see the following logs:
    2005 Jan  6 03:31:36 Nexus5010-A %AUTHPRIV-4-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_unix(aaa:auth):check pass; user unknown - aaad
    2005 Jan  6 03:31:36 Nexus5010-A %AUTHPRIV-5-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_unix(aaa:auth):
    aut
    hentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost=  - aaad
    For logging *****
    Nexus7018(config)# logging ?
      console           Set console logging
      event             Interface events

    Hi,
How do I set up an account to receive email from my SMTP Relay Server?
I've setup the SMTP feature and set my Server to use anonymous authentication.
    Things appear to look ok.
But I can't connect make a test connection to it when I am trying to add an email account in Outlook.
I could be doing something wrong here.
    This is my process.
    1. I have setup my SMTP Server.
    2. Created a user account in AD and given it an email address.
    3. Opened Outlook and tried to manually add a POP3 account by specifying the incoming and outgoing Server details.
But when I go to test the connection on the email setup it keeps failing.
    Please help.
    Thanks

  • On-premise Exchange 2010 SMTP Relay to O365 mailboxes does not resolve Display Name

    Dear All,
We have SMTP relay receive connector in our on-premise Exchange 2010 server that accepts emails from anonymous users.
The Externally Secured check box is checked. Display Name of the sender in Emails to mailboxes in on-premise is resolved correctly.
But the display name of the sender in the same email to mailboxes which are migrated to O365 is not getting resolved.
Please let me know if anyone has seen this issue. Some of our mailboxes are in O365 and some are in On-premise server.
    Thanks

  • How to Check BPM success or fail in SXMB_MONI_BPE ?

    Hi Experts
Help me...and i am new to BPM
I have done a simple BPM scenario and i am not sure it is working fine or not
So I open TS code : SXMB_MONI_BPE and here how to check the BPM
Working find or not ? if success means what is the response number?
Failure means what is the response number ?
Can any one explain me in detail....step by step of Monitoring of BPM?
    Adv thanks and Points
    Prasad K

    Hi Prasad,
Two ways you can check your BPM has successfull or not.
      1. Go to SXI_CACHE , Double click on Integration Process Check the Return Code has 0. If return code Non-zero, select the Integration Process and activate now it will come to the Return Code is '2' again activate and you will get Return Code as '0'.
      2. Go to SXMB_MONI or SXI_MONITOR or SXMB_ADMIN
Execute the XML message, find out your message and that message has 'PE' that means that is a BPM message.
Click on PE you will see how BPM steps worked in your scenario where it failed exactly.
select the particular step and In Application toolbar there is ICON called 'Technical overview' click the buttion it shows the everything.
