How to check if my MBP supports Airplay?

Hi I have a 15'' MBP from march ish 2011. I just updated my OSX to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 because I was thinking about buying apple tv 3rd generation.
But I'm not sure, that my computer supports the Apple TV mirroring? How can I check this? I know that everybody writes that the mirroring is supported by MBP purchased from early 2011 (I guess this means mine to?), but how can I check this myself so I don't order apple tv, and it doesn't work. Can I do some kind of test or see it in the specs somewhere?

  • How to check whether the browser supports cookie using servlet

    Hi
    I have a servlet that uses session.I want to check whether the browser supports cookie.
    Please help me how can i detect this using servlet.
    could you please include a sample code
    thanks
    sabu

    You can check whether any cookies were sent in the request to your servlet:
    Cookie cookies[] = request.getCookies();
    if cookies is not null (cookies != null) then the browser sending you the request suppoerts cookies.
    If it is null then you would need to do a little extra work. Basically add a cookie to the response going back to the browser. Then send a redirect back to this same servlet. You then would have to add code to check to see whether the cookie was sent back.
    // Servlet named myServlet
    String test = request.getParameter("TEST");
    Cookie cookies[] = request.getCookies();
    if (test == null || !test.equals("TRUE")
    if (cookies == null)
    response.addCookie("testCookies","testCookies");
    response.sendRedirect("myServlet?TEST=TRUE");
    else
    // cookies were sent in the initial request, so
    // browser supports cookies
    else
    // This is the redirect. Check the for the presence of
    // our testCookie
    Hope this helps.

  • How much ram can my MBP support?

    First of all, there are two slots for RAM in a MBP, right?
    Is there a limit to how much each can support, and a total limit for both?
    I just discovered an article on DIGG about 8 GB sticks of RAM, and it got me thinking.

    The actual amount of RAM depends on the specific model, since you don't mention that, it's impossible to tell.
    However, I can tell you that currently the most any MacBook Pro supports is 4GB of RAM - two 2GB DIMMs.
    I don't know the Digg article you're referring to, but it's highly unlikely that it's referring to laptop memory. It's likely to be full-sized DIMMs where space and power consumption are less important factors (all laptops use low-profile DIMMs which consume less power and take up less space than DIMMs used in desktop computers).

  • How to check 802.11n antenna support on X61 7673-74G without opening?

    Hi,
    Is there any way to check if the laptop got antenna support for 802.11n, without opening/unscrewing the laptop?
    Can I in that case install any 802.11n Intel card? (like the 5300 AGN)

    marihole, welcome to the forum,
    according to the support site your system has an Intel 4965AGN (n-disabled) wlan card. The "n" cannot be re-enabled.
    Product: ThinkPad X61 7673-74G
    Original description: T7300(2GHz), 1GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 12.1in
    1024x768 LCD, Intel X3100, Intel 802.11agn(n-disabled), Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb
    Ethernet, Secure chip, FIngerprint reader, 8c Li-Ion, WinXP Pr
    Having then looked at the parts list, the Intel 4965AGN wlan card (without n-disabled), with FRU number 42T0867, will work for you.
    Hope this helps

  • How to check CPU support

    Wanting to upgrade with a new cpu or running into troubles after having already upgraded frequently the question comes up if the new cpu is supported by the board used.
    Before asking about that with a post you should for yourself by just going to your mainboard's product site at msi.com
    There just choose your board's category (AMD or Intel Platform) and click on your board's socket and choose your mainboard:
    Is your board already out of production and not mentioned you need to click Archive instead of Intel/AMD platform:
    In the following pop-up just enter the name of your board, click "search" and you will be directed to the archived product site:
    When you finally opened your board's product site click on "support" -> "cpu support" and all supported cpus will be listed as well as the bios version with which support for the cpu has been implemented
    Is your new cpu not listed there it is not officially supported which could result in all kinds of problems from just not recognising the cpu's name string to not booting at all. Buying an unsupported cpu is therefor a gamble and not recommended.
    If the new cpu is listed, you need to check if the bios installed on your board is supporting the cpu or you need to update. To figure out what bios version you have, >>use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<< if you want to upgrade a running system. After starting the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher it will automatically detect your board's current bios and save the details in a file on your desktop called MSIHQ_INFO.txt. There you can read up the exact bios version. Posting in a topic to get assistance you can quote this details to make it easier for others to help you
    If you have just the board you can look for a tiny green sticker on the bios chip that has the version of the original bios it came with printed on it.
    With new cpu generations coming up MSI usually creates microsites where you can lookup if your older board will support it.
    Currently Intel platform users are wondering if their socket 1155 boards are supporting Ivy Bridge while AMD users want to know if their boards support AM3+ cpus (FX) or Vishera (2nd Generation FX) or Richland if FM2 is used. To answer if support is implemented or planned the following microsites can be checked:
    >Socket 1155 supporting 22nm (Intel IVY BRIDGE)<
    >AM3+ (AMD FX multicore processors) support<
    >Vishera (2nd gen AMD FX multicore processors) support<
    >FM2 Richland support<

    Simply check the product site for cpu support (like instructed in "How to check CPU support"): http://www.msi.com/support/mb/890GXMG65.html#support-cpu

  • How to check whether a SMTP server is supporting Authentication or not

    Hi All,
    We are using Java Mail API 1.3.1/1.3.2 to send the messages. some of the SMTP servers that we use are supporting authentication and some of them are not.
    As the SMTPTransport.supportsAuthentication() is not available only in Java mail API 1.4.1, we are identifying the SMTP server whether it is supporting authentication or not in the following way.
    Socket clientSocket = null;
    InetSocketAddress socketAddress = null;
    OutputStream outStream = null;
    InputStream inStream = null;
    InputStreamReader inReader = null;
    OutputStreamWriter outWritter = null;
    try
    clientSocket = new Socket();
    socketAddress = new InetSocketAddress(host, port);
    clientSocket.connect(socketAddress, timeout*1000); // convert timeout from second to miliseconds
    // 1: now try to execute the given command by passing that on Out-Socket
    outStream = clientSocket.getOutputStream();
    outWritter = new OutputStreamWriter(outStream);
    outWritter.write("ehlo localhost" +"\n");
    outWritter.flush();
    // 2:Read output of above command
    inStream = clientSocket.getInputStream();
    inReader = new InputStreamReader(inStream);
    // This array limit would be fine to get "AUTH" extension of smtp server.
    char[] arr = new char[16384];
    StringBuilder strBuilder = new StringBuilder();
    inReader.read(arr);
    for(int i=0; i< arr.length; i++)
    strBuilder.append(arr);
    System.out.println(METHOD_NAME + "SMTP server response for ehlo localhost command ->"+strBuilder.toString());
    // The output EHLO command comes like below :
    // ehlo localhost
    // 250-ap9058pc.us.oracle.com Hello ap614ses.us.oracle.com [130.35.33.43], pleased to meet you
    // 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES
    // 250-PIPELINING
    // 250-8BITMIME
    // 250-SIZE
    // 250-DSN
    // 250-ETRN
    // 250-AUTH GSSAPI DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 LOGIN PLAIN
    // Since for XATUH ( like internal IP),
    // we are not sure, so just checking for AUTH capability.
    supported = strBuilder.indexOf("250-AUTH") >=0? true : false;
    As shown in above code, we are issuing 'ehlo localhost' command to SMTP server, if the response i. 'strBuilder' contains '250-AUTH' then we are assuming that it is supporting authentication.
    But for one SMTP server the 'strBuilder' value is showing as '220 mail.durofelguera.com ESMTP Service (Lotus Domino Release 8.5.2) ready at Thu, 16 Feb 2012 13:57:20 +0100' only which is socket connection output but not 'ehlo localhost' command output.
    where as the telnet test output is showing correct only as below
    # telnet mail.durofelguera.com 25
    Trying 172.20.16.65...
    Connected to mail.durofelguera.com.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    220 mail.durofelguera.com ESMTP Service (Lotus Domino Release 8.5.2) ready
    at 0
    ehlo localhost
    250-mail.durofelguera.com Hello localhost ([172.20.15.209]), pleased to meet
    yu
    250-HELP
    250-AUTH LOGIN
    250-SIZE
    250 PIPELINING
    AUTH LOGIN
    The question is why the 'strBuilder' is not showing 'ehlo localhost' conad output where as the telnet test results are showing correctly, what is going wrong here?
    Is there any other way to check that whether SMTP server is supporting authentication or not?
    Edited by: sarojak on Feb 19, 2012 10:11 PM

    There are so many things wrong with your code, it's hard to know where to start...
    Basically, the problem is not as simple as you think it is.
    For example, some servers might not allow authentication until you've issued
    the STARTTLS command.
    These days, essentially all servers allow authentication. You're probably better
    off just assuming the server supports.

    Does OS Lion 10.7.5 support Airplay mirror of Apple TV 3? I can't find the option in Setting>Display on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro.
    I've rebooted all 3 devices, still does not work. Both Apple TV and MBP are on the same wifi. And the Apple TV AirPlay option is on. Can someone help? Thank you.

    About AirPlay and Airplay Mirroring
    AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). For non-qualifying Macs you can try using Air Parrot.

    To check your model go to About This Mac (by clicking on the Apple icon, top left) and then select more info. If you wish to use mirroring you will need one from 2011 or later running OSX 10.8 or later. The alternative would be to use 3rd party software like Airparrot.

  • How to check number of rows processed in a package

    i have a pakage wid at least 11 procedures which runs on running a report now user run the report and he told me that records are not fully processed records are less so how to check how many records are processed so i can conform the data
    its urgent plzz any suggestion
    thanks a lot

    And here's some hints for you posting on the forum...
    a) do not post in UPPER CASE unless you are highlighting a word or two. Typing everything in UPPER CASE, is considered shouting and is not polite.
    b) do not say that your requirement is "urgent". Everyone here is a volunteer with their own jobs to do and your requirement is not "urgent" to them. Suggesting they drop everything to help you is poor netiquete and, again, quite rude. It also presumes that your issue is somehow more important than other people who have posted asking for assistance. Sure, everyone else would like their question answering as soon as possible, but they aren't so rude as to demand urgent attention, so neither should you.
    c) Always tell us your database version. The answers you are given may vary depending on the capabilities of the database version you are using and if you don't specify a version, people will have to assume you are using the latest supported versions and the answers may not work for you if you have a less capable version, even if those answers are technically correct.
    d) Always try and give an example of what you mean. Provide sample tables (create table statements) and sample data (insert statements), with example code or queries that you've tried (where relevant), showing what you expect to get as output and explaining any logic that is to get from the source to the output.
    e) Post any code or data inside {noformat}{noformat} tags so that it retains formatting on the forum.

    Hi Kiran,
    From what I gather from your brief question, you are perhaps looking for CRM_DNO_MONITOR that would display all queries created from Satellite/SolMan system itself, as support messages.
    If you are looking for Notifications underlying those messages, please look for DNOTIFWL.
    For more specific answers, please provide more description of what you are looking for.
