What is the best way to check what are the logical systems connected to ECC and what are the logical systems connected to APO?

Hi
You can check the connections with TCode: RSA1 (datawarehouse workbench). Go to section Source system & see the systems connected to APO.
As adviced by Vinod, You can check CIF connections between APO & ECC systems in /SAPAPO/CC.
In R/3 you can check the connected system by Tcode: SM59 & you can see the connection to APO in /SAPAPO/CC.

Hi,
First make your client modifiable, then follow the below procedure.
Go to transaction SALE or BD54 -> Sending and Receiving Systems -> Logical Systems -> You'll see "Define Logical System" and "Assign Client to Logical System".

In rsa1, go to 'Tools' and option 'Manage Source System' - the screens are self explanatory there after. To check the planning areas, go to transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN anc check the status of the relevant planning areas.

As the online documentation says, :SYSTEM.FORM_STATUS can take 3 different values:
CHANGED
NEW
QUERY
There is no status for a record that has just been removed. Only the PRE-DELETE, ON-DELETE and POST_DELETE triggers fire on this record.

How to determine logical system in a routine

Hello everybody,
I want to extract data from a ODS-Object (let's say A) to the other ODS-Object (B).
The A-ODS includes data from different R/3-source-system, where I want to select the data from one R/3-source system into B-ODS. Normally I can use the InfoObject 0LOGSYS (which exist as a key-field in A-ODS) with a constant string ofR/3-source system. But the Problem I we have when tranposting to different BW-System.
My question is: how can I determin the BW-System (logical system in a routine, where I can program the coding more flexible? Is there a field for source system similar to sy-datum or is there a function module ?

How does the Logical System GUID get created

In R3 table CRMPRLS has a logical GUID for its logical system name. How does this get created/updated? Is it created during the initial replication of the data between R3 and CRM? Why I am wondering is my systems where working ok in my QA environment then something happen to change LSGUID in my CRMPRLS table on R3. So now my middleware is not working. I will use notes 588701 and 765018 to fix the problem, but I am trying figure out what caused it before it happens again in my production environment.
We are doing one thing to mention is that our R3 environment is being setup to talk to 2 different CRMs. I am wondering if the setup of the second CRM caused the guid to change. If so what step during the middleware setup of CRM would cause that?

We are facing a similar issue. Could you please let us know the activities done to get the issue resolved?
Did you revert back the changes done as suggested in the Note 588701, if yes can you let me know where the changes has been done and how has it is reverted back?
Also, in the table CRMPRLS in R/3 we do not see an entry for the external SRM system.
Please note, for replicating material into SRM we use the CRM Middleware.

this bus sys is based on tech sys which is configured as integration server.
plz tell me how to give the logical sys name there.

I'm actually having the same issue. This issue is NOT the popular adapter-specific identifier problem where the business system in the ID needs to be compared with the SLD. This issue is that the within the SLD on PI 7.0 the Logical System Name of a given business system is not present although the logical system name of the specified technical system does appear. You cannot change the LSN of the business system since it relies completely on the LSN of the associated technical system.
I used Jochen's approach before and it worked, but i've tried this again since i'm having the same issue. Only now it doesn't work.
i solved this issue by deleting the old BS and recreating it

How to check R3 system connected to BI system

I am installing BI contents , But before installing the Contents , in need to check which source system (R3) is connected to BI.
Please can any body tell me .

Hi Rana,
In RSA1 screen select source system option in the modelling area.
Right click on the source system(for ex: D10client100) --> select "Check" from the context menu.
It will display message if there is any thing wrong.
second method
If you have authorizations you can goto SM59 Tcode: drill down the ABAP connections ->check for your source system
double click on it
it will take you to "RFC destination screen" here you need to click on connection test.
IT will display the test results.

How to get logical system

Hi Experts,
Generally while creating third party BS in SLD, we give logical system name and for TS we give Host.
we have one JDBC receiver channel for which host is changed now. In Connection parameter we have given the new host.
so for that JDBC receiver Business System, i changed the Host in SLD and gave the new host but not getting from where I will get the logical system. The team which provided the host told that they have only created the new server. They have no idea on this.
Or I will use the old Host and LS. Old Host will not work I guess. incoming data coming through ABAP proxy to JDBC . but while debugging proxy program it is giving Business system error.
Please suggest what to do.

Previously I had only made changes in channel connection parameter. but it did not worked. When I checked the technical system, there old host is present. SO,I replace that with new host which is now maintained in connection parameter.
and when I checked the BS, in LS, the old instance of URL present.
For example:
connection parameter
jdbc:oracle:thin:@abcd123.abc.com:xxx:yyyyyy
abcd123 - host
xxx- port
yyyyyy - Logical system name ..
My query is shall I use this new Host only. I tested with new Host and LS combination and old Host and LS combination.. both did nt worked.

1How to Assign Logical System to a Client. In the SALE transaction window.
I didn't see any Receiving and Sending Systems(Tree). But I can see Logical Systems. In the Definition and Assign Subtree are there. I created two Logical Systems STUD_S and STUD_R. When I executed Assign Logical Systems. I got a window, Where I can see a list of Clients. I got confused, how to Assign those Two Logical Systems to Client 800 and 810. Finally I double Clicked on each client and in the next window. I changed the Logical System to STUD_S for Client 800 and Logical System STUD_R for client 810. and saved them.
Is this procedure correct???
Why I need this is, While generating partner profiles in ALE Model (BD64), I am getting no list at all. When I executed I got no list.
"No messages have been defined for the selection conditions in the Model"
I got struck at this point.
Please help me to come out of it.

Thanks for such a valuable information. I am able to move further. But i got struck while generating parntner profiles from ALE distribution model.
Log For Partner Profile Generation:
Partner:
Partner ZVK_SS_800 as partner has been Created ( Sending System)
Partner ZVK_SS_820 as partner has been Created (Receiving System)
Port:
Port Cloud not be Created
RFC destination ZVK_SS_820 not specified for system ZVK_SS_820
Enter the RFC destination and Restart the generation
It is not recognizing the RFC port, even though i followed all the steps correctly.
While creating RFC destination, can someone tell me How to fix the above error and what is the Client No, Username and Pasword i have to give.

Dear Experts,
We need one help, in one of our production client which is on ecc6.0 and on oracle. in that when we are executing transaction rsa1. its giving error " logical system name has been change for this system ",
then later on we have found that the logical system name in table T000 has been changed , so now we need revert back orignal name, so we require your help to do proper step to revert back the name, also we requre what other things we need to change with respect to logical system name...
Need your help on this issue we request your immediate support for this.

1) Logical System Name can be changed using SALE transaction. Go to ALE -> Sending and Receiving System -> Logical Systems -> Define Logical Systems.
2) After changing Logical systems you have to check partner Profile using WE20 and do the necessary modifications. if required
