That's why some developers offer a free "light" version after which you then either buy a full version or add features via an in-app purchase. But if the developer doesn't offer such a limited version, then there is no way to try an app before paying for it, and no refunds unless the app is defective or falsely advertised.

Use the READ_TEXT fun module to fetch the text by passing the parameters OBJECT,OBJECTNAME,ID and LANGUAGE and fetch it and check it

What exactly do you see when trying to buy the app, what messages/prompts show on the screen ? If you have a balance on your account then that should automatically be used for the purchase (unless you are trying to gift it), you can't specify how items are billed. Is this the first time that you've tried to buy something in the stores, or have you moved countries ? Even though you might be being asked for card details it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be charged (apart from a temporary store holding charge, which the card issuer should remove within a few days or so)

How to check the validation in UI before committing data?

I'm using Jdev 11.1.2.1.0 version .
I needed to check whether there is duplication of values in Boolean check box before committing the data into the Database.
But this validation rule is to be checked based on the value selected in the Select One Choice drop down list in the page.
I did it with adding a ValueChangeEvent in the drop down list and checking the values in the Boolean check box. It worked , but only in the case of earlier committed data in the database.
How can i actually verify the data entered in the table in the page before it being committed into the DB ?

an improvement to your solution would be to move the major part of your code from the backing bean into a method on the ApplicationModuleImpl file (you create this from the AM editor)

How can I use my Pages from before Mavericks?

The new Pages has replaced my Mountain Lion purchased Pages. What a disappointment!!
I would love to revert to the previous program.
Maybe I can get away from the alert that some things have been changed, even on a file that I have opened in the new one many times.

The iMac I use is at the church. I was there earlier today before I saw your message. Probably there is the older Pages there. It is gone from this mac Mini. BUMMER!!! If I had any idea the Mavericks upgrade would wipe out a good word processor and replace it with a white elephant, I would have had some big second thoughts.
This thing is terrible and Cuppertino has done me a big disservice in changing it for the sake of change and making it replace without any input from me.

You have three choices:
(1) Client-side checking using JavaScript,
(2) Server-side checking using JavaBeans,
(3) Both.
You can check on the client side using JavaScript to make sure that e-mail address formats are valid, numbers are numbers, strings are the right length and format, dates are correct for the locale, etc. You might want to look at the JSTL I18N capabilities here to make sure your pages can handle different locales. This saves you a network roundtrip if something is formatted incorrectly.
The server-side checking is different: it makes sure that the input satisfies business rules. You can check for correct format again if you wish, OR assume that the client has already taken care of this. (Depends on how paranoid you want to be.) The business rules for correctness belong on the server side, not in the client.
I'd recommend both. They really are two different kinds of checks.

Can't use a gift card to buy osx lion

Today I went 30 miles to go to an Apple store only to find out that they DO NOT sell OS X Lion in stores, it is for download only!   I was told I must purchase OS X Lion from the App Store. So I logged onto the App Store and attempted to purchase OS X Lion with an "Apple" give card which I verified has $80 on it. The App Store would not accept the card, according to what I read I'm unable to use a gift card to purchase from the App Store!   I can't buy it in the store and I can't buy it online.   So how do I use my gift card to buy anything?

I have people all the time buying me "Apple gift cards" thinking I can buy "Apple" products from "Apple".   How is it my fault that "Apple" puts some odd rule on it that I can't use it like "cash" to buy whatever I want from them? If you go to Walmart with a "Walmart Gift Card" are you restricted to buying only a "Walmart brand product?" or perhas you can only use the "Walmart Gift Card" at a "Walmart" store only in the city in which it was bought?
A brand of "gift card" has a consumer expectation to allow use at that brand's stores, including online, unless it was some sort of special promotion. If you buy a "Visa" gift card, it's excpected to be the same as "cash" anywhere "Visa" is accepted. If you buy an "Apple" gift card it is expected to be accepted at any "Apple" branded "store".
So why would you want to buy an "Apple" gift card?   I will certainly tell people not to buy me Apple gift cards any more.   I'd rather have a "visa" gift card where I can use it elsewhere or perhaps a "walmart" gift card.
I will be glad to send you the Apple gift card.   However, according to my terms of shipment I must first ask for $30 shipping, $20 handling, $20 processing and $20 transfer fee. Thus you owe me $90 for the card. That's just the rules, it's not my fault that those are the rules.   Now you can save all the fee's and just come by and pick it up but I don't have the card with me, you can only obtain the card online.
However, thank you for clarification on the use of "Apple gift cards". I will know from now on to tell people to no longer buy "Apple gift cards" as you can't use them to buy but a certain set of "Apple" products unlike what you would normally expect from a company branded gift card.
So can I buy an Itunes gift card with my "Apple Gift Card"?
