How to choose the "preferred Network"

My phone automatically defaulted to "Global mode". Is this correct or should it be in CDMA or GSM/UMTS mode? Also, does this affect my ability to send text messages b/c I haven't been able to send them with this phone and tech support doesn't seem to be able to resolve my issue.

Hi jaxgirl3278,
You can change your preferred network to CDMA by following the instructions below:
From a home screen, select the applications tab (located in the lower left).
Select Settings.
Select Wireless & networks.
Select Mobile networks.
Select Preferred Networks.
Select CDMA.
Also make sure that Enable always -on mobile data box is checked.
Global mode does not interfere with text messaging and you should be able to send your messages. In order for our forum members to assist you please provide some more information.
Are you able to receive text messages?
Are you able to send any text messages at all to any of your contacts?
Do you use the native text messaging application or a third party text messaging application?
Have you ever added a messaging block feature to your account?

Hi Charles I only consider storage nodes and their replicated nodes.
Actually I show an error in the logs saying that one of my storage node use a loopback address. On my laptop I have a network interface and a loopback address (disabled)...when starting sn1 I show that the port 5000 is only linked to the ip address 0.0.0.0 so it is not the good ip address..although i use for configuring :
java -jar ..\lib\kvstore-2.0.23.jar makebootconfig -root root1 -port 5000 -admin 5001 -host ipaddress_of_my_laptop -harange 5010,5020
and after
java -jar ..\lib\kvstore-2.0.23.jar start -root root1
If you have a sample tutorial that explains how simulate on the same laptop an Oracle NoSQL architecture running on 3 disctinct servers please give us this information.

How to add the Social Network share buttons (that work!) to share INDIVIDUAL post from the same page

How to add the Social Network share buttons like Facebook and Twitter (that work!) to share INDIVIDUAL post on the same web address in Dreamweaver? I have searched on google and youtube tutorials, but most of them are "Blogger" and "Wordpress" users.. The only Dreamweaver tutorial is the one that share THE WHOLE page (not individual post on a page). There is Facebook Integration on Dreamweaver (29 Dollar download from Adobe) but so far no review about it so I don't want to spend money for something I don't know. There is also Sharrre but they say there is a bug. It seems like everyone out there use these buttons but I start to get crazy since it seems easy but it's actually complicated to get the html or js script to paste on! Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Here is my test site. I have made at least 3 articles (Fashion, Sport, and Art) with thumbnail images on it.

On each article I add the share buttons from "AddThis".
However, if I want to ONLY share the "Sport article" on Facebook by clicking share-->Facebook, then the feed is scrambling my images on other articles too and it eventually just share the whole page instead of one particular article.
It is now fine since I only build 3 articles, but as you see when the page is getting long with at least 20 articles it will not be ok.
I don't want to make individual page for each article either, since they are just short article each, and I intend to use this page as a welcome page to update the latest activity every half year.
I have seen many bloggers or pages where even if they have many article on ONE page, they are able to share one particular article to Facebook, and when we click (via Facebook) it will redirect us to exactly that particular article even if the article is on the bottom of the page, and not just bring me to the top of the page only and have to search by myself by scrolling to the bottom of the page to see the article.
Infact, Bloggers and Wordpress seems to have the tool for that so that we can just click and add. I am not a Blogger or Wordpress users but I saw youtube tutorials on that.
I have heard about Dreamweaver behavior, and does this will help to achieve what I want (sorry I'm a beginner)? I also heard about meta tags but I don't know how and where to get them to paste to my html source code.
I have found several sites where the person show how to do this, but when I tried it didn't work, and in fact some other discussions about this are never solved.

How to switch the mobile network in program?

I searched in the forum but didn't get the answer.
Currently I have 2 mobile networks for my mobile say they are A and B.
Is there a way to automatically detect the mobile networks if there are A and B then choose A?
Or just simplely choose A no matter whether there is B availible?

How to choose the right project settings?

I'm new in taking video's and in editing them. I bought a Sanyo HD Xacti Video camera and made a lot of clips in my last holiday. The clips are transferred to my compter and have the format .MP4 1280-720 depth 1280 and 29,97 fps.
I want to create after editing en DVD which I can show on my TV 16:9 (PAL-Netherlands)
When I create a new project I have to choose the seetings and I really do not know how to choose!!
What Project settings should I choose because in the settings I only see 30 fps under de NTSC systems. Is there some where a general explanation how to do?

Before the NTSC to PAL, I believe there are other major considerations.
1. You are recording 720p30 1280 x 720 16:9 at 30 frames per second, using the MPEG-AVC/H.264 codec). That sounds to me like your are dealing with what they call "AVCHD-Lite". If so, there are major basic problems editing that in Premiere Elements 7. See Steve Grisetti's FAQ

2. Your remarks would suggest that you want to create at DVD-VIDEO widescree (16:9) of your Timeline.
3. So before all else, I would determine if you can successful bring your video into Premiere Elements 7 and export the DVD-VIDEO in the NTSC system before you think about converting an NTSC video to a PAL end product.
4. Typically you select the project preset (new project dialog) to match the properties of your video. Once done that does not stop you from changing the export preset later. In the case of your NTSC 720p30 Sanyo video, I would suggest the project preset (new project dialog) = NTSC HDV HDV 720p30. Think of the project preset as a template from which you can edit your video. Although this 720p is a variant of AVCHD, I suggest the HDV category since there is no 720p preset under AVCHD. Note that the descriptions to the right of where you set the preset.
5. In Share/Disc/Disc, in the Burn Dialog, then select the preset: NTSC_Widecreen_Dolby DVD. If that is all completed successfully then we can talk about conversion of NTSC 1280 x 720 16:9 to a PAL DVD-VIDEO (720 x 576 25 frames per second with a 16:9 flag to stretch the video on display after encoding).

How to choose the speakers Flash Player uses?

How on earth do I choose the speakers which Flash Player uses?
I downloaded the latest Flash Player, and it worked fine. Then I had a Skype conversation, and now Flash uses the same "speakers" which Skype uses ie a USB headset.Flash player can no longer see the computer's speakers.
There seems to be absolutely no way in the web-based setup to tell Flash Player which sound output to choose. In Windows control panel (WIn XP SP3) the defaults for both sound and voice playback are set to the speakers (Realtek HD Audio) - Windows media player plays correctly over the speakers. If I right-click on an embedded video, I get a settings manager which lets me choose the microphone and camera Flash Player uses, but not the speakers. And I can't choose the speakers in the general sound controls of the Realtek HD audio, because those controls have no way of referring to any individual program. It is wierd!!!!
I don't think there is anything cracked or broken - it was fine this morning, now not. How do I get sound coming out of the speakers again?

Can any one help me to identify the right cRIO model.
I want to choose the cRIO processor for an application. The cRIO- 9025, has processor of 800 MHz speed. Where as there is another cRIO model which comes with 400 MHz of the processor.
How do I decide which model to choose?
The mathematical calculations will help me to reach at a conclusion. I am not sure how to go ahead with the mathematical calculations.

I don't think you will get any mathematical calculations telling you witch cRIO you have to use based on the level of information you have given.
I don't think there are any mathematical calculations to decide witch cRIO a user can use.
You need to give a lot more information about what you are going to use cRIO for, before anyone can give you an advice.
What does you setup look like ?
Wwitch modules are going in the cRIO ?
What are they doing ( input/output )?
Are the cRIO interacting witch external systems?
Are the cRIO only collecting data ? How fast ?
What operation are the cRIO going to do ?
Just a fewe of the questions you need to ask yourself.

Why does my Macbook not choose the 5Ghz network?

Hi there! Can anyone tell me why, if I have a dual band simultaneous Airport Extreme and iStumbler says I have a 58% 5 bar 5Ghz on channel 100 signal right at the top of the list of available networks and the other examples from my network are 45% and 42% on the 2.4Ghz band - then why does my Macbook insist on choosing one of the lesser signal strength networks to log in to? I am extending my network via an Airport Express in the bedroom and I think it is that which is showing the highest signal (probably as it it considerably closer than the Extreme where I am sat right now!). Just wondered, doesn't seem very dual band to me if it never connects to the better band? Don't want to force it to connect to 5Ghz as that's not required, at the moment it chooses.

Chances are that the extended network is using the 2.4 GHz radio band as this band allows for greater range. Remember that the AirPort Express can only operate in one band or the other. It is not a simultaneously dual-band device like your Extreme.

Hello! I am a brand new owner of the HP 15-g073no laptop! So, my problem is, how does one switch the preferred graphics card to the more powerful dedicated card with 1gb of dedicated RAM? i have a doubt while creating index for the table which is not having index. how to choose index on which column it will be beneficial ?
i heard from num_rows from dba_tables and some other view to calculate but i m not sure. with the help of that view we can see how much columns is used more freq on which column we have to create index rather than just checking in query on where condition and full table scan? pls help me out to decide the index creation on basis.

In my opinion, there's no shortcut to knowing your queries, how the table is going to be accessed and what proportion of the rows various queries will access.
There are tuning advisors which will recommend some indexes if you run a workload.

How to deselect the "close network" option with Time Capsule?

After selecting the "close network" option in the settings I lost connection. When I check the Utility AirPort the machine looks for wireless devices but finds nothing because it's hidden. How do I deselect the "close network" option and see my network again? Tks!!!

Temporarily, connect an Ethernet cable from your computer to one of the LAN <--> ports on the back of the Time Capsule and turn off the wireless on the computer.
Open AirPort Utility and click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the row of icons
Click the Wireless Network Options button
Remove the check mark next to "Create a closed network"
Click Update to save your settings and allow 25-30 seconds for the Time Capsule to restart.

I believe you would have to change your iTunes folder location and the Podcast folder would move with it. That is the only way I know how to do it.
