I see you're having black lines. I'd like to help!
Do you have any lines when printing?
Do you get lines when when making a copy?
Does it occur when scanning from the ADF, the flatbed, or both?
I'd recommend a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

Trying to export M2V, getting an annoying white line down side...

Hey guys, looking been looking for solutions to this but to no avail...
Trying to compress a prores 1920x1080 422 hq clip into an m2v for burning. Problem is whenever I touch the frame controls, I seem to get a freaking annoying white line down the right hand side of my vid.
If I turn the frame controls off, it works, but I want them on because the image quality is far superior with it one.
Here's the settings I had:
Another really annoying thing is that I did an experiment, I opened the prores in QT player, exported for web/computer/h264 and brought that into compressor, rendered it out. No white line. But H264 looks like utter crud.
Any ideas?? This is so infuriating. Thanks so much

A line (usually a green line) down the right side of a video usually means a size mismatch that the codec can't deal with. What is the final size the video shows, m2v?
Set Details Level to zero and turn off Active Details. Details Level and Anti-alias are used when up-sizing a video.
You may need to do the re-sizing before going to m2v. Resize using ProRes (4444 is an over kill) and use that to make your m2v. And use better as Russ has pointed out. The best setting will yield about 10% in quality over better. You will not see that 10% gain in quality in the final video. Especially since your going to m2v for the final video. When you use frame control to convert a video to m2v. Frame control has be read during each (2) pass adding to the time to the encoding. Personaly, if I need to use frame control to make a DVD (or h.264), I make a intermediate video... PreRes, and use that to make my DVD or h.264 video.
Lastly, if this doesn't fix the white line you may need to crop off 1 or 2 pixel lines (right or left) from the video. You won't see this in the final video.
I have had to do this.
Food for thought... If your making DVDs from 1080 video footage or having to resize the video regularly for DVDs or h.264 encoding. You can use the 'NEW JOB WITH TARGET OUT PUT' option in *Compressor. This will make a ProRes intermediate video with the size changes (you need set the new size). After that has be encoded it will automatically convert that ProRes video to m2v.
You can either do this at night (sleep time) or do something else while this is being executed.

*If your using Compressor 3.5... the second encoding (MPEG-2 in the above example) you will need to set the size in the geometry widow. Compressor 3.5 leaves this blank (a bug), this was fixed in Compressor 4.

How can I keep my signature on the left side when using rtl on mail application

I'm writing in Hebrew & English on apple Mail application on OS X /mountain Lion.
When I'm starting to write a mail in HEBREW it's automatically move the signature to the right side which I don't like it because my signature is in English (My Hebrew is a why better from my English ; )
How can I keep the signature on the left side as default?

Not completely.
In Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Check both Do not preload top hits in the background & Prevent earch engine from providing suggestions.
This will eliminate top hits and search engine suggestions.
I am not sure about the rest.
As far as History, I guess you could clear it and use Private Browsing.
Bookmarks, I don't think there is anything you can do about that besides removing them.

Well MacKeeper comes close to qualifying as junk, as malware even, and totally takes over and interferes with a system and then is hard to uninstall and remove.
In addition to the above, BitDefender has a free utility as well to remove adware.

There is no real valid reason to install and use this or other apps to clean or improve system performance. Adding more RAM can help of course if yours has minimum, upgrading the system storage drive almost always helps as SSDs have gotten better and available in any system.
the more 'stuff' that gets installed, the more problems with stability, performance, and the system working as it should.

How can i let people make adjustings in my app when they use it

I want people to adjust their wishes in my app.
So if I would set 4 website links to 4 random websites. Then people that download my app should be able to adjust the website to any of their favourites. This way it works best for them.

It's a little clearer, but not 100%. The application needs to allow the user to store their favorites in a database table on your server. For example, the database might have two tables - one to store the user's credentials and other related data, and another table to store their favorite url's. DW has some built in server behaviours for inserting, deleting and displaying data from a database that can help with this, but you really need to be familar with programming in the server side language you are using as well as SQL.
But I'm still confused as to how you are building this. This forum is for server side appliation development, but you mentioned that people would download your app? What are they downloading? Have you started building this? What server side scripting language are you using?

How should I do to make links to websites "clickable" when I send an e-mail?

If I use Explorer the links in e-mails always are blue and "clickable", I just click once on the link. When I use Firefox the links are not "clickable", I have to copy and paste the link directly into the browser. I am using Hotmail for my e-mails.

The link button is the one with the little piece of chain on it.

How can I stop my computer from shutting down completely when I play fv2?

Windows 7 64 bit. My computer shuts down after 5 minutes of play on farmville2 and after about 20 minutes on farmville1 and gardens-of-time. I have followed all the instructions on the help page with no change. If anyone out there has any suggestions I certainly would appreciate them.

Niel, thanks for putting me on the right track. I had to go to the "advanced" section of the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences to find that option. I had almost given up searching the 4 tabs on the main page in vain.

MANUAL DOES NOT DESCRIBE HOW TO CLEAN ROLLERS ON AN OFFICE G85? I

In reviewing manual on line for officejet g85 I still do not know how to get to the rollers for cleaning. Photos reflect vertical streaks. Being somewhat intimidated in getting inside the printer, I would like to find a HP service shop in austin texas. This printer is more than 10 years old and has been performing well over the years, but now unless the rollers can be cleaned I am unable to print images for church directory. Any suggestions or links for 'how to" get to the rollers for cleaning?
Or should I just bite the bullet and replace the printer?

The page here may help. The problem is probably due to ink buildup due to a paper misfeed at some point, and then the printer printed on the platen. Cleaning the rollers as shown in the page above may resolve the issue. In the section "Paper Jams still Continue" step 4 shows some rollers accessible from the front. I would suspect the issue is ink on the small rollers in the front, I would clean these with a damp paper towel or q-tip.
The G85 is relatively economical to operate, most replacement printers would not be as cost effective. About how many pages are printed per week?

I would like to invoke the same functionality as in Flex
Builder Project -> clean... -> clean all projects...
but from command line is it possible ?

You can:
1) Perform a project clean up (p.153 of the user manual) - it removes any unused recordings, samples and other files
2) Consolidate project (p. 154 of manual) - this copies all the used audio material into the project folder and also deletes any empty folders within project folder, making it easier to navigate
3) Save project as a copy - this creates another project folder, but without all the backups and other additional files

I thought the question was well purposed. Using HTML was not acceptable in this instance, which was made clear, so why critisize his comments? "Using HTML" is a poor solution, it does NOT work in many instances due to browser, OS variations. Usually the "common answer" is never a COMPLETE answer.
Possible Solution:
Use JLabels to render the text on the button.

Known Limitations:
1. Flowlayout does not work well with single line text buttons... perhaps another layout manager may work better for various buttonsizes-linenumber combos.
2. Mac OSX : The default UI for Mac OS X (and above it seems), is to have rounded edged buttons. These rounded edges are destoryed when using JLabels, leaving a square, blocky button in its place.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
(this is ugly and time consuming)
- create images of the button with text on them.

How can I make a line at 40 degree angle in Keynote 6

How can you make a line of 40 degrees (or anywhere between 40 to 45) angle in the new Keynote 6.2.2. It seems they took away that nice feature from the previous version. When I move one end of a line, it locks onto 45 when I get near that angle, and jumps off directly to 34 when I try to move away. Previously you could click on a line to transform the ends into red spots, and move them independently to any angle or length. Now it locks onto 45, or 135 or 90 etc. I don't have any of the guides on or any other feature. This is supposed to happen only when holding shift key (which is also a great feature). If it locks onto the magic angles without holding shift, then there is no sense if having that feature at all.

Press the command key when dragging, this switches off snapping and allows continuous placement.
If you like numerical control: Inspector > Format > Arrange > Rotate
