How to clean a fan in a dv4 1123us laptop

Hello,
for some time I have a loud noise from the fan and I want to clean the fan from dust?
How can I clean it?I am not sure where and how to open the laptop from the back in order to get to the fan itself.
if u have a manual or something it will be great.

so as long as we still have the waranty, better not to open it (>.<)
and with vacuum cleaner, WHY I DONT ever think about it ;p so simple.
but if the waranty expired, i want to see inside the cover (uh oh, i like to see everything bout compt BAD HABIT EH?

Cleaning the laptop fan and repasting once a year would be nice, or if the computer is heating up than normal.
There are lots of application that monitors CPU and GPU temperature,
If you want to refresh the thermal paste / repaste your laptop, This is what we normally use

How to remove the harddrive from a dv4 1444dx laptop

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to remove the hard drive from a dv4 1444dx notebook? My laptop does not get pass startup enven in safe mode. I've tried letting the system self-repair and also tried to recovery to a date when it last worked properly, but neither results in success.
I want to remove the hard drive and back up my data before trying to re-install the original image from the D: drive.

Hp pavilion dv4-1123us Media Card won't read

I have a hp Pavilion dv4-1123us laptop that won't read a 16 GB SDHC media card. The card works in my PC, so the card is good. I have a Scandisk 5-1 media reader hooked to my home PC that would not read it but I found through Scandisk site I needed to download the latest Firmware which I did and now the card works on my PC. The reader has always and still does read a 512 MB and a 2 GB XD cards on my laptop. I am running XP Pro OS.
I have searched the HP site for driver downloads but only see them for Windows 7 and 8 not XP.
Can someone help me on this?

You’re having a problem not being able to read a 16GB SDHC card.
I think that your computer does not support the SDHC card.
Here is a link to your user guide and what cards it supports.
I noticed that it shows the Secure Digital but not the Secure Digital High Capacity.

How to clean Macbook Pro with retina display fans?

So, i'm wondering how you would clean the fans on the new Mac I mean I wouldn't want to blow in compressed air and ruin some components in there(my fans aren't dusty) I just wanted to know i'm curious about it! Since the fans on this mac don't have directs paths of where the air will flow, since in the commercial it says they made them so air would flow all inside the system.

I would not recommend doing this though as you would obviously lose your warranty. If it actually runs hot, make an appointment and take it to Apple Store. Tell them it is too hot and they will run some tests.

How do I clean the fan?

My G5 acts up fairly regularly and I think all the service tech did last time was clean the fan. Is this possible? and if so how do I do it (including opening the case).

Then if very dirty take it outside, you'll need some compressed air, canned may work but I use a 100 PSI compressor.

How to clean my Satellite A300 1BL?

I would like to clean my computer really good.
I have search in the internet and somebody uses a vacuum cleaner in the grill, but I would like to know your opinion, what things I have to open in the interior without the risk to clean the fan system of the core and all that.

To clean my notebook I use compressed air spray and could blow away the dust from the cooling ventilators.
Its not necessary to disassemble anything.
If you have no experience how to disassemble a notebook you should not do this. Its a little bit tricky and you have to remove a lot of screws and its your own risk.

I have tried everything you can find on the net. From unplug the cable cord to cleaning fans. Smc reset en pram reset. Eeven more. Its a Intel imac 24 inch 2009. Help

Hooray, I think I found a solution.
Using terminal commands there actually is a way to force smcFanControl to set a tolerable max rpm for the CPU fan.
WARNING:
Be aware that this solution should only be used if you know what you're doing and you are absolutely sure the CPU fan on your iMac is indeed out of control.
Forcing a low max speed on a healthy CPU Fan with fully functioning sensors can seriously damage your Mac. You have been warned.
The solution:
Install smcFanControl
Go to the terminal and use these commands to regain control of your noisy iMac:
/Applications/smcFanControl.app/Contents/Resources/smc -k F2Mx -w 12c0
This will set the CPU Fan to max at 1200 rpm: (Oh yes!)
To revert to standard settings use:
/Applications/smcFanControl.app/Contents/Resources/smc -k F2Mx -w 3cf0
This will set CPU Fan to max at the default 3900 rpms
You might have noticed that the last 4 digits are the fan speed (in hexidecimal)
Other fan speeds you can try:
1100rpm = 1130
1500rpm = 1770
3900rpm = 3cf0
Now all I need is a way to make the setting permanent. Anyone know how to run the above terminal command automatically on bootup?

Cleaning the fans?

So lately I've been having this intermittent fan chirping problem, and I've just now realized that this sound is coming directly from the vent behind my mac, so I ASSUME the fan may be all gunked up with dust and whatnot since the vent itself was VERY dirty.
My question is, is it possible to remove the imacs back-casing to clean this fan?(if so, how exactly do you do it?) and does this void the applecare warranty or something? I'm weary of blowing canned air into vent directly since that never seems to clean things properly.
Or am I better off taking the computer to an apple store, even if its a simple cleaning issue?

Vacuuming out the vents probably won't clear up a fan noise, for that you would need to take it in for service!
It would be better to vacuum the dust out rather than blow it deeper into the iMac, but be for you do any vacuuming or blowing first shutdown and disconnect the power. The iMac's main air intake is the grills on the bottom and the HD intake is under the stand, the exhaust is the upper slots on the back.

I'd like to know if there's a way to clean the iMac fans _without opening it_, and how often should I do this cleaning. My computer is about one year old and I've never cleaned the fans or anything inside the machine.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Never open the iMac, you could void your warranty. Just clean around the vents, keep them as dust free as possible. Here's another thread that might offer some ideas:

take it back asap. If it wasn't doing it before they cleaned the fans, they may have accidentally done something that is causing this behavior.

Does anyone know how to reset the fan on a MacBook Pro 13-inch (Late 2011) to it's factory setting speed (Maybe Terminal may help?)

I would like to invoke the same functionality as in Flex
Builder Project -> clean... -> clean all projects...
but from command line is it possible ?

You can:
1) Perform a project clean up (p.153 of the user manual) - it removes any unused recordings, samples and other files
2) Consolidate project (p. 154 of manual) - this copies all the used audio material into the project folder and also deletes any empty folders within project folder, making it easier to navigate
3) Save project as a copy - this creates another project folder, but without all the backups and other additional files
