How to clean recent used fonts dropbox on Pages '09?

Hi everyone!
I've searched a lot but can't resolve this. I can't clear my recent used fonts on Pages '09. I'm not talking about the box opened with cmd+T, I'm talking about the dropbox next to the font size, bold, italic, etc.
I've tried to delete the com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist but it only clears the cmd+T box.
Could you guys help me?
Thanks a lot!

This list is stored in Pages preferences file.
You may remove the entire array entitled : SFIFontCacheRecents
or remove some fonts items.

  • How to revise the recently used fonts?

    Hi, I been wondering if I can edit the used fonts list in iwork 09.
    Thanks!

    The list of recently used fonts is stored in the preferences file : com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist
    You may easily edit it with a plist editor.
    I use Apple's PropertyList Editor which is part of the developer tools.
    If you didn't install them, you may extract it from the installation package with a tool like Pacifist but it may be easier to go to my iDisk (address below) and download
    Pref Setter.app.zip
    Expand it and you will get a good editor allowing to do the trick.
    It's the tool which I use under Lion.

  • "Recently Used" fonts causes crash...

    Hello all,
    I don't use iWeb all that much, but I went in today to do a quick page and found an issue.
    Using iWeb 2.0.3 and OS 10.5.4.
    If I build a page or select a previous page, and hit Command-T to manipulate fonts, choosing the "Recently Used" under "Collections" causes iWeb to crash every time.
    First the beach ball, then boom.
    System very clean, and almost zero addition al fonts, sans Office 2008.
    Can anyone confirm this behavior on their Mac(s)?
    I can reproduce always and even under different accounts.
    Deleted iWeb pref's and deleted font caches with LinoType FontExplorer X and rebooted.
    Same.
    Thanks,
    Scott

    I have had exactly the same question. This is not an answer, but maybe part of the answer. In User - Library - FontCollections, there is a file called "com.apple.Recents.collection". If you take that out, Keynote no longer shows recently used fonts. However, it does not seem to generate a new com.apple.Recents.collection file, so that is not the solution. I found that the file can be opened with the program "Property List Editor" (part of the Development package), but it looks like a mess. I would really also like to know how to clear the recently used font collection and start over. Mine now has about 1000 entries, which make it worthless!

  • Most recently used fonts ID CS3

    How do I get the recently used fonts option to show up at
    the top of my fonts menu?

    You're asking about a feature that has never been in InDesign, though it would be a good idea. I'd make a post in the Feature Requests section. It's possible that there may be a third-party plugin that does it, but I've never heard of it.

  • Recently used fonts

    Is there an option PS CS6 or CC to have recently used fonts or fonts in doc on top of font list? I find it maddening to have to open old documents and select fonts to see what I've used.

  • Font Panel - Recently Used Fonts

    Hi, since another post with this same title is archived, I'm going to give this a bump. The issue is that the Recently Used fonts list on my machine is HUGE and completely useless since many of the items in the list appear to be blank. Is there a way to clear this list so it can start fresh? I've tried clearing the system font cache and it doesn't affect this list.
    Thanks, Matt

  • How do I enlarge the font on web pages

    how do I enlarge the font on web pages so that it stays that way all the time

    Funny thing today Thomas,
    Someone had a link to your site which you mentioned your first virus, the WDEF, and I chuckled as we both had the same experience all these years.
    Anyway Thomas, I call it as I see it and like any IT professional, use the best tool for the job.
    Did you know Steve Jobs used Linux on his renderfarm at Pixar?
    So really what the problem is people's sensibilities, which they shouldn't be worried about because like IE, because of Safari being included on hardware, automatically is the first browser of choice and in no danger of losing market share on Apple hardware.
    However if Safari isn't quite cutting the mustard for a particular person's needs, like this person's situation, they should be informed of a alternate solution.
    Safari doesn't have nearly the amount of customization as Firefox nor the zillions of add-ons to solve just about any issue.
    If people decide not to take my advice that's their choice, and they choose not too, but likely, just in this case, will come to realize the same problem I had with increasing Safari's text size and distortion of web pages.
    Soon as Apple starts paying attention to their needs of their hard of seeing customers better, like myself and others, then I will most certainly recommend Safari over Firefox.

  • Recently Used Fonts: Where are they?

    Acclaimed feature of Illustrator CC... but I can't find it.  Where are they hiding?
    And how do I make this font preview box longer?

    What an awful way to do that...and then it shows fonts the program recently used and not the document you have open?
    Corel has it right when it comes to type (but not much else...)... select a type group and when you look through the font list a flyout with a sample comes up... is there a way to do this in Illustrator? because as of right now Illustrators font list setup is just awful...

  • [Solved] How to list recently used windows?

    I like the Unity feature where a key binding either opens or focuses an application window. With KDE I can define a keyboard shortcut which, for example, performs
    wmctrl -xa emacs.Emacs || emacs
    However, I'd like it to focus on the last focused window, not the first opened window. Is there a command to list all windows in the order they were recently used? (Clearly the Task Switcher gets this information from somewhere.)

    The command I was looking for is
    xprop -root | grep "^_NET_CLIENT_LIST_STACKING"
    If anyone is interested, this script
    #!/bin/bash
    app=$1
    workspace=$(wmctrl -d | grep '\*' | cut -d ' ' -f1)
    win_list=$(wmctrl -lx | grep $app | grep " $workspace " | awk '{print $1}')
    IDs=$(xprop -root|grep "^_NET_CLIENT_LIST_STACKING" | tr "," " ")
    IDs=(${IDs##*#})
    for (( idx=${#IDs[@]}-1 ; idx>=0 ; idx-- )) ; do
    for i in $win_list; do
    if [ $((i)) = $((IDs[idx])) ]; then
    wmctrl -ia $i
    exit 0
    fi
    done
    done
    exit 1
    in conjunction with the key binding
    the_above_script.sh emacs.Emacs || emacs
    produces the correct Unity behavior. (How to mark this thread solved?)
    EDIT: I modified the script a little bit. It turns out wmctrl and xprop use slightly different formats for displaying hexadecimal numbers.

  • How to generate PDF using fonts from Extended Font Pack?

    Hello
    Extended Font Pack, available for download contains MyriadPro-Regular.otf font that has cyrillic glyphs.
    I want to generate PDF document with cyrillic unicode data  that can refer to the MyriadPro-Regular font resource without embedding font.
    Are Extended Font Pack resources CID keyed fonts or not?
    Looks like such example of PDF structure allowed me to use it only in ANSI encoding
               'Type':'/Font',
                'Subtype':'/Type1',
                 'Name': '/MyriadPro-Regular' ,
                'BaseFont':  '/MyriadPro-Regular',
                 'Encoding': '/WinAnsiEncoding',
    What values should be for `Subtype` and `Encoding` to render cyrillic unicode (UTF-8 encoded) data and use MyriadPro-Regular Open Type downloaded from adobe and installed into local system without embedding it?
    Thanks

    Sorry for the delay. I admired with investigation of this case.
    My aim is to generate PDF docs on web site that have i18ned content. ALso client does not want to deal with any font licenses (font embedding will raise question about font licensing) and to reduce PDF file size with such approach. So I'm looking for the ability to link fonts in PDF source, that can be easiely downloaded from adobe.com and installed into local desktop. With Latin group (en-us, french, german) we  can use one of the 14 standard fonts, for CJK - Adobe Asian Font pack. I was considering (Myriad Pro or Minion Pro) font resources from Extended Font pack to cover Cyrillic glyphs. I observed that such fonts are usually installed with Adobe Reader installation (MyriadPro-regular.otf). To render cyrillic glyphs I followed such steps like converted into cp1251 encoding range of the cyrillic unicode data (as you told those fonts do not support unicode encodings the same way as CID keyed asian fonts) and pointed to the Type1 MyriadPro-Regular with custom WinAnsiEncoding. One problem I faced with is - that glyphnames are differrent in diferent Extended Font pack versions. I mean that cyrillic glyphnames for the Adobe Reader 8 started from `afii100xx`, when for the Adobe Reader 9 they are named `uni0xx` for the same font named MyriadPro. I used such glyphnames in the /Differences list in PDF source. How can I generate PDF source that can be viewed successfully in both Adobe Readers version 8 and 9?

  • Where are the recently used fonts?

    Has this feature been hidden somewhere. It is tedious to constantly scroll through all my fonts just to select it each time.

    I guess you are talking about Pages 5?
    That has been gone for a year now.
    Use Pages '09 if you have it.

  • How to clean previously used Wi-Fi netswork list?

    "Forgetting" a single net, the one iPhone is currently connected is easy. However I didn't find any way to clean (or view) the whole list of known nets.
    Any idea?

    Going to Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network settings should clear the wifi list.

  • How to turn off automatic font changes  in pages

    When I move the cursor across the screen it often reduces the size of the fonts in the cells.  How can I stop it?

    Thanks june
    I have no trackpad for my iMac and I left the delivered mouse in its box.
    Its size doesn't match my hand's one so after two hours of use, I suffer from cramps.
    I use my good old Wacom mouse with my good old Wacom tablet. I may work with it without cramps all day long.
    If I have some spare time, I will test with the gestures on the Apple mouse.

    To be the AW6 successor, iWork MUST integrate a TRUE DB, not a list organizer !

  • How do I show use poplist in uix pages?

    Ok here is my problem which I will try to relate it in HR schema example.
    I got a uix page showing departments and employees(one-many) master detail.
    I got another edit uix used to edit old employees or create new employees.
    In this edit/create uix I don't want the user to see the id's like DepartmentId, ManagerId, JobId etc...instead I want them to see the corresponnding Names.
    How do I achieve this? Could some one give me a walk through or some sort of hint?
