How to clean the printheads on a C209a all in one

I have just replaced all my ink cartridges, but can't get anything to print. I re-installed the printer, ran the 'clean printhead' command in the 'tools' menu and still nothing.  Can someone please help me with how to clean the actual printheads manually so that I can get the machine to print?

Hello Macuser0210,
I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with faded streaks on your documents.
I found the following on HP.com. Solution Seven in the document might help you resolve your issue:

  • How do i remove the printhead on hp 1600xi all in one printer?

I keep getting the message remove and check cartridge on the display of my hp 1600xi all in one printer. I've replaced the ink cartridges. Turned it off, and on. Unplugged it, and plugged it back in. I still get that message. The only other thing that I can think of is to replace the printhead. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Hello jrfirepup, and welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you are looking into printhead options.  This particular model of printer has built-in printheads, making them non-removable.
I would recommend removing the cartridges and performing a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest this document on Ink Smears or Streaks.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

  • How do I clean the ink reservoirs an 1350 all in one?

I have had this printer for many years and love it. Even though I am on Windows 7 I found I could install it in virtual xp and it works in 7. I have heard alot about cleaning out the ink reserviors or replacing the absorbtion sponges but can't find how to do it. Can anyone help? All my research came about because the yellow ink slot on the print head seemed to be clogged and after trying everything I fould it still won't work. Thanks, trekcip

You will need to install the HP scanning software provided with the All-in-one. Once you have done that, follow the manufacturers directions, which should include using a USB or network cable to connect the HP to your MacBook.
Each scanner has different instructions, so the manu's instructions are the best to use. If you are having trouble after that, you would most likely get better response from the HP support sites.
    Good Luck.

  • How to Clean Ink Stains on HP 3050 All-in-One J610 series

    Hello -
I have an HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One J610 series printer.  I am a Mac User and am getting notifications with each document I print that I need to "Clean Ink Stains on Printer".  I have put brand new black and tricolor HP ink cartridges, but I am still getting some faded streaks in the documents I print.  I think the "ink stains" are specifically on the printer and not related to the ink cartridges, since I have put new ones in and the situation has not been resolved.
Do you have a video or step by step instructions on how to clean these ink stains on the printer so I no longer have faded sections when I print?  My ink cartidges are full and new.  I have had this printer for 3.5 years and have never seen this notification, nor have I ever cleaned the inside of the printer.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Officejet 8500A Plus everytime i switch it on it cleans the printheads?!?

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus and everytime i switch it on it cleans the printheads. Is this normal???
And how can i turn this off???

The 'problem with a previous purchase' message implies that iTunes wasn't able to collect the payment from your last purchase - until that is paid you won't be able to download anything else from the store, including free items, redownloading past purchases, and updates to your apps.
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If they're debit cards that you are trying to use then they don't appear to still be accepted in all countries, and even where they are it seems that not all work.
If you don't have any credit/debit cards that are accepted by iTunes then are iTunes gift cards available in your country (they are not available in all and they are country-specific, they can only be used in their country of issue) ? If they are then you could potentially use them as your payment method.

Back up all data immediately as your boot drive may be failing.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
syslog -k Sender kernel -k Message CReq 'Channel t|GPU D|I/O|Previous Sh' | tail | open -ef
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. If the command produced no output, the window will be empty. Post the contents of the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window), if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that.

    Hi Eric and Markus,
We found the Solution and off course we did good R & D, Finally I am able to implement the fix to Clear the Command Line History.
All I did is I Disabled the Permissions for Code Folder (Right Click > Permissions > Deny) in Regedit.
Thats It, The Commands stopped storing in the History.
    Thank you Erick and Markus.

  • How to clean the dust inside the screen of the iPod Touch?

    Hi everybody,
lately some dust entered inside the screen of my iPod Touch.
At first it looked like one or two pixels were gone bad, but it is just some annoying dust.
The problem is that I cannot figure out any way to remove it.
I tried a gentle blow from the connector hole but the result was worse.
Any idea on how to clean the screen inside?
I hope it is not necessary to go to an Apple Center and pay for the "cleaning service".

    It sounds safe to use
'Falcon's® "Professional" Dust-Off® "XL" compressed-gas is the perfect product for removing dust from your color transparencies before making scans or copy slides; it's also great for removing dust from cameras, lenses, computers and other electronic equipment. Each 12 oz. disposable can comes with its own trigger value and a 4.75" nozzle extension (a red tube) that allows you to place precise bursts of compressed air just where you want it.'
Check the directions on the back... also check the contents. Normally anything like that will inform you of contaminants harmful to delicate electrical devices.
If its just compressed air make sure you keep the can well back from the source.. and unplug the G5 (take it somewhere you don't mind dust.. there no point doing this in situe, just for it to suck it back in again!)
Also.. as mentioned.. keep the can upright (as the air is decompressed the can gets very cold)
