How to clear BO Publication Job output files

Hi Everyone,
We have BO Publication Job which triggers mails to users with excel attachment. Around 500+ mails with attachments gets generated. Is there a way to clean up these already generated instances. When i checked in File store\Output folder i could see the instances. But these are scattered in different folders and all are not in one folder for particular publication run date.
My Question is
1. How can i delete instances that generated for that particular Publication on a particular day.
2. If i delete those instances will there be any impact.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Shankar,
-You can Login to CMC – go to Instance Manager and filter the Publication as per day and time and then delete the instances.
-You can also set a limit for instances on the publication.
1.Right click on the publication
2.Select Limits
3.Check the option "Delete excess instances when there are more than N
instances of an object"
4.Set the value.
You can also refer to Note 2077255 - How do instance limits work in Business Intelligence
platform 4.x

  • How to clear the alertlog and trace file?

    since the database was created,the log and trace file have't been cleared.how to clear the alertlog and trace file?3tx!!

    Hi Friend.
    You can eliminate all the files ".TRC" (trace files) to purify the directory BDUMP. These are not necessary files in order that the Oracle Server works.
    The file Alert.log is a file that the Oracle Server can recreate if you eliminate it. When Oracle Server's process realizes certain action (for example ARCH), Oracle creates again the file (if it does not exist), or it adds text (if it exists) with the new income.
    It can happen, that appears some Bug if the file Alert.log does not exist. Though this is slightly possible.
    Anyhow I recommend to you in UNIX to use from the prompt: $> filename in order to take the size of the file to 0 bytes, without need to eliminate it. Is the same thing when you want to purify the listener.log, the sqlnet.log or the sbtio.log.
    I wait for my commentaries you be of great help.

  • How can I have a custom output file destination for each different preset?

    Hey guys,
    I have a bunch of presets in AME but I need to have each preset export to it's own folder. How can I do that? This was a really simple thing to do in Compressor but in Media Encoder is seems like I can only specify one output file destination for the whole application in general and everything gets exported to that folder. Can anyone help me with that please?

    This is a user to user forum. It is not staffed by Adobe employees so you will not always get a direct response from Adobe.
    That being said, the output destination is not tied to the presets so this is not possible without a little extra work. You can change multiple output destinations by selecting multiple jobs and then clicking on one of the output locations to update them all. Another way to set this up would be to use watch folders.
    This is a feature request are aware of but if you would like to add your vote for it, please add that request here: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

  • How to clear completed print jobs in Leopard?

    It is possible to clear completed print jobs in Tiger but I couldn't find it in Leopard now. I have a DELL 5100.

    Andre Marion wrote:
    I have the same problem here. Sure you can use the "hide completed jobs" but that's not the point. The Delete job menu selection should do what it says it will but it doesn't.
    Everyone has this problem. The workarounds given above are exactly that, workarounds.
    This is a bug. If you say delete something and nothing happens (not even a warning telling you that you can't delete this item) then it's a bug.
    OK, it's a bug. No one disputes that the Delete button not working is a bug.
    As for going into the CUPS admin interface, that is way over what a general user should have to do. I know how to do that, but the point of using a Mac is that I shouldn't have to do such things.
    This is debatable, but what's wrong with learning something new and having another workaround until Apple gets around to fixing this?
    This needs to be fixed.
    Submit feedback to Apple about this issue, but they are probably already aware of it since it has come up before.

    Hi,
    At least newer versions of Firefox doesn't seem to have to do anything with js3250.dll, so most probably it's not a Firefox component/requirement. The [http://kompozer.net/community.php Kompozer forum] would be helpful.

  • How to programmatically disable prompts for output file names in Acrobat X

    My code to programmatically disable output file names (below) is not working on a Windows 7 64-bit machine using Acrobat Distiller X.  It works perfectly on a Windows XP machine with Acrobat Distiller 8.
    The latest API Reference I was able to find is dated June 2008.  My logic follows this convention.
    I have confirmed that the registry key is updated as specified below.  I have also confirmed that I am able to write to the directory indicated.
    Please provide any suggestions to resolve.
    Thank You!
    ~Lori
    'Create the Registry Key where Acrobat looks for a file name

    'Put the output filename (FilePath) where Acrobat could find it

                     C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\MSACCESS.EXE, _
                     T:\PDF Files\Current Week\NFS_Lori,Test.pdf

    I remember seeing that the problem is thunking. A little more specifically, because it's a 32-bit driver but a 64-bit executable, there's a 32-bit system spooler process which will always show up as the EXE name.

  • Why the output file invisible from JCreator??

    i developed a program with JCreator. with the program, i intend to write something to an output file with the codes like:
    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("output.txt");
    DataOutputStream dos = new DataOutputStream(fos);
    for(int i=0; i<10; i++){
    String s = i+" ";           dos.writeChars(s);
    fos.close(); dos.close();
    how come when i open the output file from JCreator, i can not see anything there? yet, when i directly open the file "output.txt" from the directory storing the program source codes in the operating system, the output string "0 1 2... 9" is visible.
    quite confused! could you please illumine?

    I am not sure of my facts but I think the problem is as follows. DataOutputStream writes bytes of primitive information. You can use the method .writeUTF() which is an ASCII-compatible encoding, instead of .write().
    However textual output should be done with PrintWriter (or PrintStream in Java 1.0). JCreator is expecting ASCII or text to read.

  • How do I add column headings to an output file?

    Hi,

    I have a request to include column heading on the data file going out.

    Hi,
    While Building the attachement just add the field description refer following code
    Append header line to download data
      CONCATENATE 'Company Code'(004)
                  'State'(007)
                  'Store'(010)

                  'Net Tax Due'(025)
                  INTO ls_download-data
                  SEPARATED BY lc_tab.
      APPEND ls_download TO gt_download.
      CLEAR : ls_download.
    LOOP AT gt_error_log INTO ls_error_log.
        CONCATENATE ls_error_log-bukrs

        CONCATENATE lc_cret ls_attach-line  INTO ls_attach-line.
      Append Error log data to attachment Table
        APPEND ls_attach TO lt_objbin.
      ENDLOOP.
    Call the function module to convert the data into Hex
      CALL FUNCTION 'SO_RAW_TO_RTF'
        TABLES
          objcont_old = lt_objbin
          objcont_new = lt_objbin.
    Append converted hex data to attachment table
      LOOP AT lt_objbin INTO lv_line.
        ls_conv = cl_abap_conv_out_ce=>create( encoding = 'UTF-8' endian = 'B').
      Call lmethod to add the data to the output buffer sequentially.
        CALL METHOD ls_conv->write( data = lv_line ).

  • How to map expdp parallele process to output file

    How to map expdp parallel process to its output file while running...
    say i use expdp dumpfile=test_%U.dmp parallel=5 ..
    Each parallele process writing to its related output file.. i want to know the mapping in run time...

    I'm not sure if this information is reported in the status command but it's worth a shot. You can get to the status command 2 ways:
    if you are running a datapump job from a terminal window, then while it is running, type ctl-c and you will get the datapump prompt. Either IMPORT> or EXPORT>
    IMPORT> status
    If you type status, it will tell you a bunch of information about the job and then each process. It may have dumpfile information in there.
    If you run it interactively, then you need to attach to the job. To do this, you need to know the job name. If you don't know, you can look at sys.dba_datapump_jobs if prived, or sys.user_datapump_jobs if not prived. You will see a job name and a schema name. Once you have that, you can:
    expdp user/password attach=schema.job_name
    This will bring you to the EXPORT>/iMPORT> prompt. Type status there.
    Like I said, I'm not sure if file name information is specified, but it might be. If it is not there, then I don't know of any other way to get it.

  • How to add line breaks to output fixed width flat file

    0
    I need to create a Flat file without column headers, no comma separated values but each column will have a fixed starting position and a fixed length in the text file. For example, below is the text file to be created with six columns
    Column1  Column2   Column3     Column4  Column5      Column6
    abc          1             New emp      xxxx         xxxx
    xxx
    Fixed starting position and a fixed lenth values for these columns as are below;
    Column1 : Starting Position -1, Fixed Length -4
    Column2 : Starting Position - 8, Fixed Length - 2
    Column3 : Starting Postion - 11, Fixed Length - 10
    Column4 : Starting Position -1, Fixed Length -5
    Column5 : Starting Position - 10, Fixed Length - 2
    Column6 : Starting Postion - 15, Fixed Length - 5
    The out put file each line have only 20 characters length.First 3 columns comes in first line and 4-6 columns comes in 2nd line.
    OUTPUT FILE:
    1234   89  11121314151617181920
    12345    1011          151617181920

    BOL says that:
    The Fixed width with row delimiters option is not available in the Flat File Connection Manager Editor.
    If necessary, you can emulate this option in the editor. To emulate this option, on the General page of the Flat File Connection Manager
    Editor, for Format, select Ragged right. Then on the Advanced page
    of the editor, add a new dummy column as the final column of data.
    More details steps:

    Hello all,
    can somebody help me to find name of the report if I know name of report instance and also location of instance in Output File Store. It should be done via Query Builder.
    It is ...rpt file as output from Crystal Reports. I tried few commands in Query Builder but usually they finished with timeout error.
    Could you help me and send specific command? Or way how to change timeout of Query Builder?
    Thanks.

    Hello all,
    We finally found solution.
    We knew that file is located on path .../Output/a_145/009/002/133521/~ce10c.....9332.rtf
    This file has more than 2 GB. We tried to find which report is related and provide necessary actions.
    As I mentioned we still failed due to timeout error - There was an error retrieving data from the server: CMS operation timed out after 9 minutes.
    So we tried to use our testing environment. We started there QueryBuilder and there we successfully tested that we found details about files from FileStore /like Name of the report in Launch Pad, CUID, ...
    SELECT SI_NAME, SI_CUID, SI_FILES FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_FILES.SI_PATH = 'frs://Input/a_148/020/000/5268/'
