Bbc homepage not loading, even though I cleared cookis and cache. Any advice on how to sort this problem?

I have FF version 4. The BBC home page will no longer load, though I can load other BBC pages such as BBC news. I don't know why it won't load and I just get a blank white page - t loads in safari fine. I have cleared cookies and cache but it makes no difference. Please advise on next steps for trying to sort.

Safari unable to clear cookies and cache

Each time I reset Safari it is supposed to clear cookies and the cache, yet I do a reset, continue browsing and return to a site like hotmail and I'm still signed in...
If I reset Safari and go right back to hotmail it's OK, but any delay and continued browsing allows it to somehow use the old cookies and cache. Does anyone have any ideas? I tried tech support to no avail. Thanks.

I've done the plist delete several times, but that doesn't help. Somehow it is able to look back and re-create these cookies and cache. Is there a choice of using the cache or having Safari look for new pages each time?

After syncing Firefox with my Android phone, Google calendar is not functional. It hangs on "Loading" and will not allow updates or edits. Calendar works in IE, just not Firefox on any computer. Clearing cookies and cache no help.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

What is your definition of "more efficiently"? If it's limitation of search results, branded search, and limitation of styling your results then google search is more efficient. Real developers rely on their own developments. For example: how can google search display results from a password-protected site? They can't.

You do not have the properties in the Bookmarks Manager (Library), but you should have it if you right-click a bookmark the Bookmarks Toolbar or in the bookmarks sidebar.
