How to close the main window from Popup

i need to close the main window from a popup, so i create a popup and after clicking on close button of this popup, should also the main window be closed.
how can do this please?

Firefox will open a New Pop-up Window in Windows 7 Aero. When trying to Close it, it thinks it wants me to Close the Main Window. Why?

I use Windows 7 Ultimate in Aero-mode. When a new Firefox window is opened, or a Pop-up window appears, I can't close it without first clicking on that page and clicking the "X" in the corner. Instead, whenever I try to close a window that is not the first window (my main window), it will ask me if I want to close the main window with all the tabs... I have noticed some other slight quirks in this stable release as well, but this one is always present.

When I hover over the window, it does come up front, but as soon as I press the red "X" it goes immediately back to the main window and acts as if I was trying to close that one. Once in a while it will work, but shortly thereafter, it will just go back into this manner. Quite odd. This is the first time I've truly had any problems with Firefox.
In addition to that problem I have noticed a few things, but one that may be linked is sometimes I'll click a link. Although I haven't specified to open it in a new window, it will do so anyhow. This gets annoying quickly. Usually shutting down Firefox and reopening will fix this (and once in a while just leaving it be for a long time). Somehow, I think this issue is somehow linked to the one above.

I always have many tabs open in FF, and rely on it restoring them each time I close/open it again. Sometimes I'll have a second window open and will close the main window first, losing a record of tabs I had open. Is there a way around this?

Seems like when FF restores a session, it restores the session of the last window open. If you use tabs as a way of keeping a list of things to do or look at, you have to be careful if you have a second window open to close the second window before your main one, or you will lose your list. I'm absent minded though and do this all the time. The only way to prevent this is bookmark all my tabs once a day, but I tend to forget to do even that. Any workaround for this?

When you re-open Firefox and choose Restore Session, by default it picks up your most-recently-open window, and the other windows should then show up in Recently Closed Windows.
The Firefox add-on Session Manager lets you manage how many closed windows and closed tabs are saved, in case it's not enough.

How to find the main window?

Hi, can someone help me. I cant find the main multi track window. Ive looked in the window drop bar and searched with no luck and its starting 2 get annoying. Please any info would help

I got it from a mate who's doing a music degree. Its the educational version its authentic. I was having problems with it just shutting down on me in the middle of a session so I re-installed the programme then when i ran it ther were no windows. I had to click on the window bar to make them appear but i dont know how th make the main multi track window appear? I installed the patch but still no change. Its probably somthing i have to open ye?

Hi, Im developing a Java app that has an horizontal menu bar,which has the option to exit the program . So I want to hide, or get rid of the main window menu bar, the one that has the close, minimize and maximize buttons..is it possible ?

Toolkit for CreateJS: How to control the main timeline from outside the canvas.

Hey Everyone,
I'm currently trying to do something simple, but my animation breaks whenever I attempt to change my code. I have created a basic animation in Flash where an object moves from the left side of the canvas, to the right, and then loops from the last frame to the first frame. Nothing else. The animation is simply put on the main timeline. I exported the animation with Toolkit for CreateJS through Flash's extension and the animation runs as it should. I am trying to start and stop (restarting from the first frame) the animation with mouse over and mouse off events. I want the events to fire when moused over/off a div OUTSIDE the animation's canvas tag. Is this possible with CreateJS? I'm trying to figure out how to control the main timeline without being inside the canvas tag.

So on the "mouseover" all movieclips on the stage could be stopped with stop and on the "mouseout" all children could be restarted with gotoAndPlay like this:

This can be done by adding code to "ball1" like so:

when i have a single line item, the size of table in main window is getting reduced. Its size is varying according to number of line items. Is not is possible to keep the size of table fixed even you have single line item?

You need to create a dummy template of fixed size and do not use lines for the main window table use the template. this will overlap with the window height.
If you want tro display something then pass the field based on some condition on end of the table

1st, see the Markup formatting options over on the right part of the screen - if you wrap your code between the code tags it will read MUCH better.
2nd, I can't replicate this issue - we have several PDFs opening in new windows & we only need to click once on the clost 'X' - how are you calling the PDF in a new window?
If you can't find a final resolution, an alternative would be to place a LinktoAction on your web dynpro application somewhere that makes sense which would close the window for you.
We do this on Sucess Message Views...

How to submit the parent window from child window

I am looking out for a solution. I have a main JSP page and on clicking a button in the page a pop up window will be displayed, which is too a JSP page. Finally i should submit both Popup window JSP page and the parent window JSP page, when clicking the button in pop up window. Can anyone come out with some possible solutions.

How to bring the browser window from background/minimized to on top of all windows in Flex

Hi I have the requireemnt where based on some condition I am opening a JSP in a new window by calling
navigateToURL(myFormData, _MYWINDOW);
Calling this will open a new browser window. My requirement is when the new window if minimized or behind other windows, how can I bring this window(MYWINDOW) infront of all the windows using JavaScript in Flex.
In which file under html-template do I have to write my JavaScript function.
Any help on how to call JS from Flex and handling in JS is very much appreciated.
Someone please share with me if there is any sample code. Thanks in advance

you can add your JS directly to the index.template file or create a separate JS file and add the link

How to restore the Main Drive from Time Machine after replacement

I have a Late 2008 PowerBook Pro. I have a 2TB external drive for Time Machine.
I replaced the main drive with a 1 TB drive and thought that i could restore from the Time Machine. I have another external drive that has an earlier OS on it. It lets me select the time machine drive but doesn't allow me to restore the main drive.
I must be missing something because this is exactly why there is a Time Machine.
Can anybody give me some hints?

You need to use online recovery to re-install an OS X on the hard drive;
the utilities to correctly format the hard drive may be accessed there.
Ideally, you'd have a working copy (clone) to then be able to re-clone
into a prepared hard drive, for an off-line complete restore to new HDD.
There are details, right now I'm not able to go into them.

How to control the main timeline from within a symbol?

I have a small world map as a symbol called "verden" and I want the user to click Europe, Asia, or Africa and jump to named labels in the main timeline.

On the main timeline a have the label "intro" with a Stop action and the label "europa". At label "europa" I have a symbol also called "europa" which has a display of None at label "intro" and On at the label "europa".
The animation never goes to label "europa"
I have this code on europa in the symbol "verden" :

Then, anywhere in your project, you can check/set that var like so:

It won't close if it was opened before you started your application, and it won't close if you are executing your application from a bat/cmd-file that doesn't terminate.

I guess I don't understand what you mean by docking.
That method will place the frame at the left edge of
the screen.I meen that if the frame is located on small distance from the screen egde it tends to be attached to this egde, like taskbar and other panels on the desktop. I hope you will understand my poor english :)

How to close the Return Order from Billing due list

Dear Gurus,
This is the scenario of Free subsequent delivery with the reference of Return Delivery.
In brief-->
I created one sales order and done its normal delivery and billing. So this order to cash cycle is completed.
Then due to the damage in transit of some material customer wants to return some good and ask for the subsequent delivery of same goods.
therefore I create a return sales order with the reference of previous sales order and and do the return delivery. Here I am not making the credit note as I have to make the subsequent delivery for the return order.
So I create the sales order for subsequent delivery with the reference of Return order and do the delivery.
Now I have the query that when I run the billing due list (VF04) I get the same return order in billing due list as I have not created the credit memo with its reference. And the return order will remain there always. But I dont want that return order to appear in the billing due list as I have done the subsequent delivery for that return order.
Please tell me how the return order's status can be made completed to avoid it in billing due list.
Please suggest me all the possible solutions to complete the scenario.

The SDF has to be created with refernce to the Sales Order only.
In Brief:-
When ever the goods are damaged in transit,generally we ask them to scrap the damaged goods and then decide what to do like
1) Either to give a credit note to the customer for the damaged goods.
or
2)Replace the Goods by SDF.
