How to "collapse" Dashboards into groups on banner

I have a dashboard group with 5 seperate dashboard in it. All 5 of the dashboards are listed on my banner. Isn't there a setting somewhere that controls how many dashboards will be shown before they get grouped on the banner? I want to only show the Dashboard group name, and not the inidividual dashboards that make up the group...

How to move layers into group.

Can you tell me why this code shows error?
Indicator shows "layers2[i].move(layerSetRef, ElementPlacement.PLACEATEND);" is not right.

I see two main problems with your code.
One is that the enum should be ElementPlacement.INSIDE when moving an artLayer into a layerSet.
The second problem is moving layers changes the index so you can not loop using the index.
Try something like this:

That should move all the top level artLayers into the layerSet. It will skip locked layers and the background layer. You could change the layer locking test to change those properties if you want to move locked layers. To move the background layer you will need to convert it to a normal artLayer before moving.

When you ask a question, please include the version of Mac OS X on your computer. iOS is not a Mac operating system.
Assuming you are running OS 10.9.1:
Open Contacts. Click File in the menu bar and select New Group. Enter the name of the group in Contacts on the left.
Go back to All Contacts (on the left) then drag and drop the names you want in that group on to the folder you just named.
Repeat as necessary for other groups.
Note that the names remain, as they should, in All Contacts, even after you have added them to a group.. You can delete a group if you want. The names will still remain in All Contacts.

Generally, in iTunes, all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist to keep things together. For older iPods each track from the same album should have the same artist, or be marked as a compilation where appropriate. Hmmmm...maybe try deleting them again (I know it's a pain) and then doing a manual icloud backup (unless you already did this). Icloud may be putting them back on there. I never allowed FB to put the contacts on my phone lol. Also try going into Privacy and Contacts...make sure FB isn't on in there. Might be a few other spots to check under settings to make sure too. And...you might want to try deleting the FB app, do a icloud backup, and then reinstall FB

Since you have Windows, one way to organize your contacts into groups is to sync them with MobileMe and create the groups there. Presumably the groups you have created will transfer to your iPhone when you sync with MobileMe. (I would presume that groups in Outlook would get copied to MobileMe).
As for me, I have a Mac, so I only have create groups in my address book on the iMac. It syncs them with MobileMe, which syncs them with my iPhone. Simple.

How to Collapse Tracks in Arrange Window?

I've been searching this and some other forums, and have a feeling I'm outta luck, but figured I should post a question here before writing up another Feature Request...
Separate from the Hide Track function (which isn't quite what I'm wanting), and separate from creating region-based Folders (which I've only just begun to explore), is there no way to simply designate groups of Tracks in the Arrange window, and then be able to collapse or reveal that particular group with a single click -- in the same way that a folder's contents can be collapsed or revealed in Finder list view?
I'm currently building a Logic project which draws on bits and pieces from 3-4 dozen .aif files, each of which I'm dragging onto a separate Track, and then on each Track am splitting the content into multiple Regions. I'm using color-coding of those individual Regions, along with text labelling, to help distinguish between different kinds of content. I'll then be copying specific Regions down to new Tracks, from which several different composite versions of the material will be outputted.
All this means I'm going to end up with a LOT of Tracks, and it would be a huge organizational help if I could easily collapse/reveal different groups of Tracks at different times, so I was only having to see and scroll through the relevant ones.
But am I correct in understanding that while some of Logic's competitors have this kind of feature, Logic itself -- astoundingly -- does not???

Well, not every piece of software has every feature imaginable - and this hasn't stopped people making music with Logic.
In order to implement this, you'd probably have to introduce some kind of track group which would be similar to region folders ("track folders") in order to group like tracks and therefore fold and unfold the track folders' contents - but this might start to get confusing to have two different, but similar functions in the arrange page.
I admit, "astounding" was just me venting. But the hypothetical implementation you describe is exactly what I was hoping to find. As for potential confusion, perhaps they'd need to avoid the word "folder", and call them "track groups", or something like that. But I think it would be an extremely useful organizational tool for those projects where your Tracks start numbering in the several dozens. (Plus it would allow the user to re-position a whole group of Tracks in one move, rather than having to select, drag, and position each Track one at a time.)
Sounds like Feedback Time, once again ('guess it beats doing actual work!).

File>New Group.
Also you can clight the "+" button at the bottom of the "Group" column.
Once the group is created simply drag the desired contacts into it.
Lastly you can highlight multiple contacts and THEN click File>New Group from selection" and it will ask you to title it.

Inserting dashboards into a single master SWF

Hello experts,
I have an issue in merging dashboards into a single SWF file. Currently i have seven dashboards exported to BOE as SWF/flash files . All are working fine in BOE. Now i need to emmbed all of them in a single swf file. How could i do it.
Current procedure which i am following: I structured OPENDOUCMENT URL for all those seven dashboards in BOE. next, i designed a dashboard with seven slides with label based menu. each of that seven slides are mapped to respective open document URL. might i am wrong . please any one tyhrow some some light in my case.

We are XI 3.1. We use the download document and url and include the CELogonToken when linking to child swfs, e..g
/Xcelsius/opendoc/documentDownload?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=AU_zADSPisZFqkKz6eCzKAY&sKind=Flash&CELogonToken=&Mode=INFOVIEW&BusinessArea=
In the example above, BusinessArea is a variable and is used to pass a value from the parent swf to the child swf.
You need to exercise some care in this swf within swf approach, e.g. if you have QaaWs running in to think about when you want the queries in teh child swf to be triggered, e.g. everytime you go to the child, or only if the user has selected a new value to be passed.
Personally, I think this type of multi-dashboard deliverable is better handled by pulling the multiple Xcelsius dashboards together inside a portal tool, or if you are at XI 3.1, use the Dashboard Builder functionality to pull all the Xclesius together. I hadn't thought about pulling them together using ppt, but that sounds like an option too.
SAP's Brad Welch did a webinar in June or July 2009 showing Dashboard Builder to pull together Xcelsius, WebI, web pages, pictures, together. Might be worth a look

I hadn't seen much about the repositioning of the Dashboard Builder tool as something to use to pull together Xcelsius and other content, but in reviewing content from the 2009 Bus Obj User Conference, I saw it mentioned in at least 4 different presenations, some from SAP folks, and feel better about developing with it more.
