How to Collapse standard MDM WD component trays?

Hi All,
I want to collapse some of the trays of Standard MDM WD component when loading the page. Is that possible through code? I know it is possible in custom trays. But I've no idea about standard components. Any help is highly appreciated.

I checked your question with the MDM WD component experts and following is the answer provided by them
Collapse some of the trays… - not sure which trays are meant
But if the tray is a container of some MDM WD Component (e.g. Search), then usually customer can:
1. Add a 'ViewContainerUIElement' in his custom view to hold the interface view of the search.
2. Wrap this ViewContainer with a Tray UI element.
3. Control the try collapse with his custom code.

How to preview standard MDM Webdynpro Components ?

As we know, we can create standard MDM Webdynpro components from CE 7.1 SP 04 onwards.
Suppose I have created a project using MDM WD configurator and added a search component, a resultset component and an itemdetails component. We can preview the individual components using the preview button provided in the configurator. But in order to see the consolidated project containing all the 3 components, we need to embed them as used components in a custom WD component. Then through the custom WD component we can preview the 3 standard components.
My question is, is there any way in which we an preview all the 3 standard MDM WD components together without putting them in a custom WD component ?
Is there a way we can directly assign an iview to a project created with MDM WD configurator ?

Found the sloution. Can be launched in the browser with the following url giving the component details :

CE 7.2: Assign MDM WD Component to BPM task

Hello!
I am working with SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.2 SP02 PAT0000 and CE 7.2 Trial Server.
The BPM task edition interface has a little bit changed in CE 7.2. Am trying to assing MDM WD Item Details Component to task. I have added all necessary dependency and go Task interface -> Choose -> Unified UI Import Wizard -> Search. This wizard cannot locate MDM WD Components and I cannot create BPM process for MDM in CE 7.2.
Does anybody know how to solve such problem?

In fact this is a reported bug on 7.2 BPM, a fix will be added soon (still not sure on which SP).
When searching for WD to assign to human task, BPM can find local WD applications (components), so as a workaround you will need to wrap the MDM WD component that you need to consume in a simple wrapper.
So you will need to create a new WD application locally (at your landscape), and use the MDM WD component as used component, and use this wrapper in your human task.

We are configuiring Alerts in PI 7.3 single stack.If we have 'n'number of interfaces, and if we configured general alerts for all.How to exclude synchronous interfaces in that.Alerting is for asynchronous interfaces only.How to do that.

I haven't tried it but i think u can do that, since these consumers are nothing but JMS queues only so i think there will be a method to read number of alert counts.

If ur max alert parameter is greater than 1 then u should see multiple alert text (along with message id and other details) in ur email message.

Hi All,
Iam using MDM Webdynpro Component. How can i achieve duplicate check in this? When a new record is created using the item details iview i want the material number to be unique.
Can you please suggest how to go about it

I am not sure about the typical way. but in your MDM Configurator screen you can embedd your MDM validation (provided you have made a validation for a duplicate check in MDM).
on the top of it if you want to put a custom validation out of MDM box , then there must be a custom user exit for duplicate check in Web dynpro component screen , so for that you can code it there.
later both MDM configurator and WD component code can be embedd and one validate button can be put on screen so before entering any material/customer/vendor into the system it will run those validations and provide a duplicate check.
it's always better to have a validate button in your main screen before entering any new material/customer/vendor.

Creating the Standard Text:
Go to SO10
1. Enter Text Name. For example, ZABC
2. Text ID ST
3. Language EN
Click on Create.
And enter the Required Information and save.
To include a Standard text in SmartForm.
Follow the steps below:
1. Create a text node in the window.
2. Under general attributes select "Include text" as Type.
3. Specify the fields under Text.
Text Name ZABC
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language EN.

Create TEXT node- general attributes change text type to include text
then you can input text name/text object/text id/language
method2
create PROGRAM LINE node - use FM READ_TEXT to read it to a internal table
then use LOOP or TABLE node to display it
For TEXT module(For foreign language)
Tr-code:smartforms -- choose Text module(not choose form)--create a text module object
then enter smartform Create TEXT node- general attributes change text type to text module
input the text module name which created by above
btw SO10 is just for Scriptform, in smartforms we use text module to replace SO10

                  I want to know ,how to find out the target component and target view in WEB UI,when i click on a field which shows as a hyper link in WEB UI .At GUI level ,i know the how it will work.Any way to find out the component name and view name which is show the details of that field at GUI level .IF you go to transaction CRMD_ORDER then open the service contract id .then goto the item level value .there is 1 service data tab is available at item level.there is two button is available.first one is available time and second one is response time .if i click on any button then one popup is open which is shows the details of that button.I dont know how to find out the component name and view name from GUI level.

             The control would be something like this for navigation in Get_p_xxx method u mention as link and u mention a event name which gets triggered on the click of this hyperlink. So your GET_P_XXX method would have the following code:
CASE iv_property.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_fieldtype.
      rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_event_link.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_onclick.
      rv_value = 'EXAMPLE'.
Now you have to create a method as EH_ONEXAMPLE at your IMPL class and within which you would give an outbound plug method. Within the outbound plug the target data would be filled in the collection and window outbound plug would be triggered.
This is a huge topic and i have just mentioned you basic things.

i have encountered that problem while developing a screen, there i'm supposed to use standard function key F2 ( which actually meant for choose) for clearing the screen fields where the cursor is present and f1 for saving data that entered in screen fields, etc...

Solution to use SAP reserve function keys F1 .. F4 (mostly this requirement comes up for RF screens) can be acheived by assigning your new Function code using the Menu path Utilities --> F key Consistency in the Menu Painter (SE41) . Once you assign your cutom function code to the standard Fn keys the only remaining step is to make sure that you set a curson on any of the field on sceen by using the Key Word "SET CURSOR" .
If you dont use the key word SET CURSOR in the PBO of the screen then you might not see any response for F4.

I created a new Web template.
Assigned a data provider, inserted a table.
In order to view i include a Analaysis box in one of the cell of Table.
Now i need to change the colours of result rows.
How to use Standard Stylesheets provided by SAP.
Where this stylesheets will be located
Under which properties.
How to use those.
How to edit those and save as we wanted.
An y step by step documents, please send it to [email protected]
I want to include Information button in Template, so when executing if user click this button he/she should know,
What are provided variables and if they chosen some specific variable restriction to see the result,
Also by default this information should get print.
In standard sap portal, this button is located on upper right corner.

Thats exactly right,
I included a naviagtion block and it worked well
But while printing the query on Web template, It only prints the data that is coming in Analysis block.
Similarly while running the query thru BEX to Portal,
Navigation block is on left, but while printing it prints exactly every data in Information tab.
Information is the button located on upper right corner.
If you click, it will give you information such as , which restrictions u did, which extra filters you added everything.
And while printing it prints this information too.
I want to do the same designing for my custom Web template.
How can i do that.
I already added navigation block, so it will be easy for users to drag and drop Chars and KFs in rows and columns as well as filter if they needed.
I hope you are trying to understand.
Also for using stylesheets can you suggest.
So that i can make changes to row and columns.
I am unable to locate stylesheet in any of the properties.

There are probably more than a few ways, but here is a little component .jsp code that uses the jcr query api to pull out all the components and list them on a page. If I know CQ, there might be a way to ask for a list of components another way though, maybe through another API, or possibly a .json url, I might remember reading something about that, somewhere, lol, but this at least gets you the list in a somewhat simple way.
