How to collective read PP master data in Production order?

Hi: Guys
Please tell me how to collective read PP master data in production orders. in COHV, I can find out some collective functions but read PP master data.

Read PP master data is only to update routing and BOM in production order if it is already created to effect the changesmade in routing and BOM. I think in that collective option is not possible.

Bapi for update Master Data in Production order

Dear All ,
I am working in a car manufacturing company here production order is made month wise planning qty , but every day its Bom is get changed by Autocad/PLM interface and all changes are being recorded through ECN .
I have to generate daily reservation for assemblies for a perticular finish vehical ,so I need to update the Masterdata in production order no through the PLM( VB platform) interface .
So please suggest me any BAPI so that I can update the master data regular basis in monthly production order or if you have any better way to map this process into SAP please suggest .

Not sure what master data in production order you want to change. Anyway if it is at header level, then evaluate BAPI - BAPI_PRODORD_CHANGE.
Alternatively evaluate the usage of Order Change Management if it is feasible in your solution. Do a search in this forum you will find many threads on it, also read SAP help & do a test a test in your sandbox. If you face a specific issue then do revert

Can we read PP master data in the orders at plant level in mass processing?Or any other alternative...?

Dear There is no T Code in standard SAP to read the PP master data in mass.
You need to develop a LSMW or BDC solution.

Strategies for synchronizing master data in production to test environments

I play a role in facilitating business end user testing. The business expects master data in the test enviornment to be failry representative, if not identical, to what's in our production environment. Whether it be a customer (XD03), a material (MM03), output determination(VV33), or pricing condition records (VK13), the business expects it to be there. Does SAP have any automated mechanism for refreshing a R/3 test system with master data from another R/3 system like production? The quality of testing is very reliant on the quality of master data, and it's not uncommon to be investing time troubleshooting problems triggered by a trivial difference in master data rather than troubleshooting true problems relating to what is really being tested. Does anybody know what's SAP's take on this is?

How track changes in production order which is already Read PP master data

Hi Gurus,
Due to some unavoidable reason my client has to do Read PP master data time and again, now my client having a requirement that want to see what has been changes in Production Order.
We already created 1 report for that which tracks whatever has been changed in Production Order but having a constraint in it. That It could not be able to distinguish to which order READ PP MASTER DATA done.
So my query is how to map that in report. As sytem Status directly changed to CRTD phase.
Any table which can track the changes once the order been through with READ PP MASTER DATA?
As there are huge number of Production Order so we can go and open each order to see the Status changes in each and every order.

Hi,
A suggestion:
Change the specification as, log changes at each save instead of Read PP Master Data, as the changes would become effective only upon save. So if this is acceptable then 2 options, 1. Go with OCM feature or 2. Refer note - 390635
Revert if you face any issues.

Check the material available in MARC table in SE11 transaction against your plant.If it is not available please maintain through MM01 transaction.

Hi Shalini,
To trigger IDoc these configurations should be done in the SAP 4.6, XI and ECC 6.0.
SAP XI
1) RFC Destination (SM59)
a) Choose create.
b) Specify the name of the RFC destination
c) Select connection type as 3 and save
d) In the technical settings tab enter the details SAP SID/URL and system number#.
e) Enter the Gateway host as same details above SID/URL.
f) Gateway service is 3300+system number#.
g) In the Logon /Security tab, enter the client user & Password details of Destination system.
h) Test the connection and remote logon.
2) Create Port (IDX1)
a) Select create new button
b) Enter the port name as SAP+SID (The starting char should be SAP)
c) Enter the destination client.
d) Enter the RFC Destination created in SAP R/3 towards other system.
e) Save
3) Load Meta Data for IDOC (IDX2)
a) Create new
b) IDOC Message Type
c) Enter port created in IDX1.
SAP R/3 (4.6 and ECC 6.0)
1) RFC Destination (SM59)
a) Choose create.
b) Specify the name of the RFC destination
c) Select connection type as 3 and save
d) In the technical settings tab enter the details SAP SID/URL and system number#.

a) First Select Transactional RFC and then click create button
b) Enter the destination port name as SAP+SID (The starting char should be SAP)

d) Enter the RFC Destination created in SAP R/3 towards other system.

3) Create Partner Profile (WE20)
a) Create New
b) Create the Partner no. name as same the logical system name of the destination system.
c) Select Partner type LS
d) Enter details for Type: US/USER, Agent, and Lang.
e) Click on the + button to select the message type.
f) Select Partner no. and LS which ever create above.
g) Select Message type
h) Select Process code related to the Message type.
I) save.

U need to import the IDoc types both inbound and outbound to XI.
1. Create Inbound and Outbound Message interface.
2. Do one to one message mapping.
3. Define an Interface mapping.
ID:
1. Create 1 Sender aggrement.
2. Create 1 Receiver aggrement.
3. Define 1 RD and ID.
4. Only create an receiver IDoc CC.

The problem occurs during data load from R/3. It was not occuring before. When I go to check the PSA contents I get a runtime error - GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED.
Error analysis
    You attempted to access an unassigned field symbol
    (data segment 32821).
This error may occur if
    - You address a typed field symbol before it has been set with
      ASSIGN
    - You address a field symbol that pointed to the line of an
      internal table that was deleted
    - You address a field symbol that was previously reset using
      UNASSIGN or that pointed to a local field that no
      longer exists
    - You address a global function interface, although the
      respective function module is not active - that is, is
      not in the list of active calls. The list of active calls
      can be taken from this short dump.

I can't create infosource for attribute-only Charactertic via direct update from Infoobject, because attribute-only Charactertics you can't choose from available infoobject.

I soloved the problem. I can input the attribute-only char directly in the text box instead of choosing from list of infoobjects, but I still can't find the char in infoobject selection dialog even using search.

Can anybody let me know how this can be achieved.
I have datasource (Legacy not R3) where I am getting both master data and text for number of infoobjects.
I dont want separate datasources.
The datasource is actually transactional datasource.
I dont need text in the cubes or DSO I need the text tables of the infoobjects to be updated.
I could find this on SDN but do anyone have document based on the below link.I was not able to find it.

I guess yr req is demanding the knowledge of Data Unification and Synchronization whose scope is a bit outer the area of BW.( its MDM actually )
In BW we could very well fetch data out of different data sources (even across the different system) with no issues so why not u trying that. if there is any issue implementing that then please specify what kind of trouble you are interfacing...

How are attribute and text master data tables linked in SAP R/3?

Hello,
how are attribute and text master data tables linked in SAP R/3?
Most tables with attribute master data like T001 for company codes,
have a text master data table T001T (add "T" to table name).
When looking at the content of table T001 via transaction se11,
the text are automatically joined.
But for some tables there is no "T"-table (e.g. table TVBUR for sales offices
has no text table TVBURT), but in se11 you get texts. There is an address
link in TVBUR, but the Name1, etc. are empty.
a) Where are the text stored?
b) How does the system know of the link?

The master and text table are not linked by name, of course, if you see the text table, it has the same key fields of master table, only it has the field key spras and the field for description.
The link beetween the tables is done by foreign key: if you check the text table TVKBT u need to see how the foreign key for field VKBUR is done:
-> Foreing key with table TVBUR
-> Foreing key field type -> KEY FIELD FOR A TEXT TABLE
->Cardinality-> 1-:CN
It's very important the attribute sets for Foreing key field type, if it's KEY FIELD FOR A TEXT TABLE, it'll mean the table is a text table: i.e. that mean the master table is a check table for the text table, where the foreign key type is for text table.
U can find out the text table of master table by SE11: GoTo->Text Table
U can fined some information in table DD08L.

Error message when try to read PP Master data C2127

Hello All,
When we try to do the Read PP master data for the process order (1005911), system issues the error message. As below
Order 000001005911: Goods withdrawal carried out
Message no. C2127
Diagnosis
The BOM cannot be read in because goods withdrawals have already taken place.
Have any one came across this issue? we are using release 470.

Hi,
The only thing I suspect is you must have reversed the goods movement with movement type 262 in MB1A or MIGO.
You havn't cancle the material documents which were posted at the time of GI.
So logistically it looks that the GI has been reversed but in the database it is having some different situation as those are not in one : one relation.
If it's so then to enable read PP master data, follow the steps,
Cancle all the material documents for movement type 262 with MBST or MIGO followed by cancellation of material documents with 261.
Make sure all the documents are cancelled.
Now try to read master data, system won't give you an error.
