How to Color-Code Categories on Desktop?

I just purchased a Palm Z22 after years of owning a T5.  I can choose colors for the categories on the handheld, but cannot get any color-coding on the desktop.  Any suggestions on how to do this?  Also, how to change the background colors on the desktop as well?
Post relates to: Palm Z22

Hello legendeld-
Would you please add the suggestion to color code events? It strikes me as odd that Palm has removed a very useful piece of functionality that has been in its software as long as I can remember. I upgraded to 6.2 to fix the problem where undated tasks were given the date "12/31/2031" in Palm Desktop 4.1.4. Finding the removal of category colors was not a welcome result. I'm certain it's not making your other users happy either, especially after waiting a very long time for this upgrade.
Thanks very much,
Sean

  • How to Color Code Tags

    HI,
    Usually when tagging scripts, each department is a different color. I.e. Speaking actors, red, props purple, etc.
    How do I assign colors so that when a prop appears in the screenplay it will be purple? I noticed on still image in documentation where it looked like this was happening but there was no documentation as to how to achieve this.
    When the script is exported to pdf, will it still show the color? In Celtx I was able to color code the break down and see it onscreen, but when the script printed in pdf format the text became black again.
    Thank you,
    Catherine

    Hi Abu,

  • How to Color code the list items if Issue Tracking lists in Sharepoint 2010 SP1

    Hi, Can any one guide me in making the list tasks color coded according to the status of the issue.
    as if issue is Resolved ( green line ), Active ( red line ) etc.
    example as following:
    I have read a lot of blogs, but none have step by step guide. a step by step guide will be excellent. Thanks in advance.

    etc
    Thanks.

    Do you have SharePoint Designer 2010 installed?
    Open your site in sharepoint designer
    click lists and libraries
    click the name of your list
    in "views" on the right, click "new..." and give it a name.
    in this new view of the list, click in one of the cells of the actual list of issues, so that the contextual ribbon at the top will give you all the options you need.
    Click "Conditional Formatting" in the ribbon.  This will let you pick "row".
    Then you just have to define your conditions:
    if priority is equal to (3) Low, then pick yellow as the background color.  Do the same type of thing to create the other 2 conditions.

  • Color code problem

    Hello.
    I have this code:
    colors = [0xFFCC00,
    0xFFFF00];
    alphas = [100, 100];
    ratios = [0, 0xFF];
    matrix = {a:100, b:20, c:5, d:100, e:0, f:10, g:100, h:10,
    i:5};
    beginGradientFill("linear", colors, alphas, ratios, matrix);
    I use it to fill a clip with a gradient color.
    I want the second color (in first line) to be taken from a
    variable.
    I tried:
    my_color = "0x"+"FFFFCC";
    colors = [0xFFCC00,
    my_color];
    alphas = [100, 100];
    ratios = [0, 0xFF];
    matrix = {a:100, b:20, c:5, d:100, e:0, f:10, g:100, h:10,
    i:5};
    beginGradientFill("linear", colors, alphas, ratios, matrix);
    It doesnt work, it doesn't read the variable as a color and
    the color it sets is black.
    Anyone knows how the color code should be composed so that I
    can have that color code taken from a variable?
    Thank you.

    Hi.
    That would normally work as you wrote it but I need the color
    to be made from a variable value that doesnt contain the # or 0x.
    So I have a value as "FFCC00" and I cannot merge the 0x with
    it because it only allows the color code to be added after 0x and
    not a variable name.
    a_variable="FFCC00"
    my_color = "0x" + a_variable
    that doesnt work. It only works if I type color code
    directley after the 0x as you said 0xFFCC00.
    Do I make sense ? :)

  • How do HEX codes affect CMYK Process colors?

    I just received a banner for a client and their logo had two different blacks utilized within different letters of the text.
    Basically, the logo has the word Barn in it and the "B" looks more brown in comparison, with the rest of the letters ("arn") as black.
    Under closer examination, I discovered the "B" in the word Barn had a different HEX code than the rest of the letters even though all of the letters are all 100K black.
    Color of the B: Hex #231F20
    Color of ARN: Hex #010101
    What really throws me off is that the black used in the letter "B" is a default process swatch in Illustrator in the Greys folder.
    I'm not sure how the colors changed in my design process, but I have never taken hex code into account when designing. I view it as 100k black should print 100k no matter what. In trying to decipher what happened, as well as prevent this from occuring in the future, I would very much appreciate any explaination on this occurance.
    Obviously I intended all of the blacks to print the same shade of black (again, I am not sure how the B was changed while designing the banners), but why would hex code affect anything at all? Shouldn't a color (especially a process color) print at 100k?
    Also, why would the Illustrator process color swatch that is included within the defaults and listed in the grey folder print more brown than my other letters?
    THANK YOU!

    First before anything make sure you are in the correct file >> document color mode
    RGB - Web or DIgitial Banners
    CMYK - Printed Banners
    There is not one CMYK value for every one RGB value, so therefore you have three 100k screenshots, with different RGB values. If you file is in document color mode CMYK  you should be good for getting 100k to print. If you are in doucemtn colro mode RGB, then you will have 3 differetn values for the screenshots shown.
    You ask a very good question, as this is often overlooked, and can get confusing. Remember that whatever document color mode your color panel should always match when entering numbers. Having a doucument color mode of CMYK, and entering values in RGB is useless and really should not even be allowed.

  • How do I replace image color with an exact html color code?

    I simply want to change the color of a small pic to an existing html color code, 3399CC.  The pic is very simple, and only has one color.  In Photoshop CS4, I go to:  Image -> Adjustments -> Replace Color.  For the new replacement color, when I type in 3399CC, it doesn't give me that color - it gives some other shade of that color.  (I can tell because I use a program that tells me the exact html code a color is when I hover my mouse over it).  It seems the only way to really get the color you want is to adjust the sliders (hue, saturation, and lightness).  But it'd be practically impossible to play around with every increment of those sliders until I get the exact color code.
    There's got to be a way to simply enter the html color code and have the pic changed to that color.  Does anyone have any idea?

    Turns key.  WhirrRRRrrrrRRRrrrr....  Nothing.  (I answered in the other thread)

  • Color code

    I like Kuler very much.
    I wonder how can I get color code directly like #343455 in
    ColourLovers.com
    Because most of case, I just want to have that color code
    instead of ase file.
    I know if I go to change mode, I can get a code, but I don't
    know to change original colors.
    And every time when I go back to previous menu, it load color
    list again.
    It's really painful.
    Is there any way to get color code easily and quick from main
    screen?
    Thanks lots in advance.

    Hello, thank you for writing. At this time, if you are
    looking at a theme you like, the only way to get color values on
    the kuler website is through the Edit function.
    Depending on how you find themes: If you have the
    kuler
    desktop, you can view the top 20 highest rated, newest, and
    most popular themes, as well as browse and search, and copy/paste
    Hex values by hitting the # key for the selected theme. You will

  • Color code logic not feasible in Pocket Browser

    Hi Team,
    We had a requirement in which we need to color the rows of SAP SRS application's ItemOverView table based on SalesOrder in a particular Purchase Order. My ex-colleague, did a solution with CellVariant that ran excellently well with Desktop applications.
    Client never tested this application in latest Mobile devices with the Pocket Browser and compatible OS.
    Now, when they tested it. First, I came to know that the standard functionality of SAP SRS MDE like GoFunctionKey is not working.
    Then, my onsite lead installed the Proper OS and Compatible Browser Pocket Browser and all the standard functionalities are working fine in SAP SRS MDE application.
    SAP had clearly mentioned to me that Cellvariant logic will not work with the Mobile Device and the Pocket Browser and also; I implemented the color code logic in the desktop application with cell design but the color code did not work with Cell Design and SAP also verified it.
    Now, please tell me how to differentiate the rows based on PO Number and the SalesOrder. They want it to be marked differently for one range and different for another range.

    Not sure if you want to apply the blue/teal color to the name of the executive or the whole first paragraph, but you could try the following for just the name color change.
    Add this style rule:
    span.name {color: #258dbe; font-weight:bold;}
    and then for the html:
    <p><span class="name">Sandra Kozusko, President & CEO,</span> started her training and consulting career in 1988.  With more than 20 years experience in the design, development and delivery of leadership, price and profit management, change management, customer service, sales, retention, operations and technical training programs, Mrs. Kozusko has held various teaching positions at Union County College, Edison Township Adult School of Education, and The Cittone Institute.</p>
    This will change the title of the executive to blue.
    As for divs and classes... the important thing to remember is that you can use an ID (#nameofdiv) once per page, but a class can be used as many times as you like per page.

  • Setting color codes for more than one photo at a time

    Is there any way to set color codes for more than one photo at a time?

    Hi John,
    I will look at keywords. My issue is speed. Right now I am culling and editing an event shoot that spanned a week with 35 separate events and more than 5000 images. So I use the fastest most convenient method I can and it still takes a long time to have a completed and final shoot. On this shoot I will end up with a final set of around 1500 images. Right now I am finishing processing a show that will hang in the Deutsches Amerikanish Zentrum in Stuttgart.
    As I am sure you are aware by now, having seen enough of my inane questions that over the last two years or since Lightroom version 1.xx if I could not figure out how to do something I skipped it. So many things in Lightroom are buried and unless you have a mind like a steel trap (and think that some of you guys in the forum do) locating how to do something is not obvious.
    For example, I only learned (in the last hour) that I could assign colors as a group of selections by using Shift + number. I found this in a side head in Martin Evenings Lightroom book. I still do not know how to find a way to display the color filter "selection" set in Library mode. Is there a way?
    To top it off, Stuttgart Media University asked me if I would add a Lightroom module to my schedule this year. Now I have a compelling reason to learn all those missing pieces that I have created workarounds for. Hence the number of posts you have been seeing from me over the past few of weeks.
    I tell my class that there are no such things as stupid questions, only questions. Now I am practicing what I have been preaching for the last gazillion years. Guys like you have been great.
    My workflow is
    1. I first separate all images by event. I do that at the time of import.
    2. I do a fast pass rejecting all the obviously bad images
    3. I do a second pass grouping the images by sub-group (speeches, people talking, performances, etc.) This is where I run out of selection methods and your key-wording could work but it would probably take too much time to establish a keyword set for a single event. Where I have more than five subgroups I set up different collection sets with one collection for each sub group. However I would like to keep a single event in one collection.
    4. I then select the images to be used by color code.
    5. Next I process the final images (crop develop etc) by collection.
    6. Last I output the set according to client requirement.
    If you have a better workflow, I am all ears.
    By the way, what is your photo specialty and where are you located?

  • 3D Map - Color Code and Cursor Tracking

    Hi, I need some help trying to implement some user interface functionality for a program I am developing.
    This will be a tuning tool for automotive ECU. The program will be reading in two signals (Y-axis is RPM, X-Axis is manifold pressure) and use a 2D interpolation to output a Z value to be used in a calculation. There are two pieces I'd like to add to this.
    1. Color code the cells based on the cell value in relation to the max and in of the entire 2D-Array
    2. Have a live currsor that tracks the current cell of the 2D array and highlights the cells that are being used in the interp calculation so it makes it easier for the user to make changes and calibrate the tables.
    3. BONUS: An easy way to be able to select a range of cells and increment them by a set amoun or scale them all by an imput amount (like scale range by 90%).
    Basicly, I'd like to recreate some of the user interface functionality of the software shown below in the second picture and the video linked below.
    VIDEO:    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkVUJCy0sJ4
    VIDEO:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeZc-ka6ago      (at 16:45 you can see a good example of the currsor tracking through the cells as teh two inputs change)
    -As you drive and the RPM and loading changes there is a blue ball that tracks on the table the current x-y location of the 2D map and the four coresponding cells around the ball are highlighted to show witch of these cells are being used in the calculation so the user can easily alter these cells in real time to tune the output he is looking for. I'd like to be able to highlight, or blink either a single cell closest to the current value, or the 4 corners around it and have it update real time as the user drives the car.
    Any ideas of how to implement this kind of functionality? The current VI is attached. I should note the x-array and y-array won't necessarily always be constant spacing between cells.
    Thank you for any help in advance!

    Okay, so I made some progress on this. I was able to use an intensity graph to visually color code the relative position of the cells. Is there a way to make the 2D array translucent and overlay the color array intsity graph behind it? is there a better way to do this.
    I was able to get the closest current cell value to update as black and track around live on the intensity graph. I did this by temporarily setting the cell's value to 0. Is there a way to somehow highlight the actual cell on the 2D-Array instead?
    The code is attached. I added a random sine wave input to simultate some signals for the x and y input. The Y array now runs in reverse order which made it tricky to get some of the functions to work properly so I had to use a 2D transpose and 1D reverse array to get it back in the right form. There's probably a better way to do this.
    Any help is great appreciately and rewarded with Kuddos!

    Strings do not have color... You can color a component (a label, a button), but you can't color a string
