How to combine 2 images

Hi, I am not familiar with Image/graphics stuffs.
Is there an API for combining multiple images into one big image ?
For example, I have four identical size images, 1.jpg, 2.jpg.
i need to be combined to into one image .means 3.jpg image containing 1.jpg and 2.jpg
1.jpg
2.jpg
3.jpg

Do you mean overlay, or basically paste them into a image side-by-side? The latter is fairly straight-forward - create an image, get it's graphics object, and then paint the two images to the larger one. You'd do this the same was as if double-buffering a display ...

I have two images that i want to print out on the same page and right now they are each on a separate page in the same file in preview. Does anyone know how I can combine them onto one page?

Don't know how to combine two images

I've brought two separate images together but the problem is I'm trying to get the first image of a person inside the bird cage which is the second image. please help!

Since you don't seem to want to supply your images I'll try to simulate what you have. You basically have two layers. A background layer an image of a sky with a floating cage. Your second layer above it is a cutout girl
Step 1 turn off visibility of the girl and use Photoshop selection tools to select the cage. Magic wand or color range maybe pen tool whatever works best for you.
Step 2 turn on the visibility of the girl layer target that layer, invert the selection and click on the add layer mask icon in the layers palette to add it ask a layer mask.
Step 4 the layer mask is the current target. Select white paint and a small hard brush paint white to bring the girl back.
step 5 if you paint too much of the girl back in and wipe out some bars switch to black paint and paint the bars back in. Its very easy to paint straight lines. Click once on the top of the bar with black paint move the mouse pointer to the bottom of the bar press shift and click. A straight line will be drawn.

How Do I Combine Several Images Into One Image Which Contains Links To A Series Of Web Sites?

How do I combine several images into one such that the combined image contains a series of web links? In particular, I’d like to create such an image and put it into my Outlook email signature. At present, as per the image below, I have at least six separate images in my email signature with each image containing a web link. Is Photoshop the best tool for this job? Or would it be easier to do this in some other package? I have three packages at my disposal: Photoshop, Ilustrator and Dreamweaver. Can someone please explain in detail how I would do this? Or perhaps someone could direct me to a link that explains how to do this. Thank you.

Thank you for that correction, Hobotor. I admit I hadn't thought about an image map, in the context of someone who doesn't seem to know HTML very well... My thinking was running along the use of the Photoshop Slice Tool to get most of the way there...
To expand on the above, if you were to slice up your image using the Slice Tool, say like this:
Save for Web & Devices will create the HTML and save all the sub-images.
Then you edit the HTML and add a (hypertext link) elements surrounding the various images. Only thing is you'll have to set the border-style of the images to none.
For example:

How to combine images?

Dear Friends,
I would like to preview a thumbnail image which is combined from different image files.
I have 4 rgb thumbnail Images, actually they are created by CMYK image fiiles. if I want to combine these image into an image for preview. How can I do?
I need to convert rgb to CMYK? and then convert back to rgb?
I have no idea how to do this.., please help ~~
Does anyone has tried to make this type of function or alorighm? I would be appreciate that if you can teach me and provide me some examples.

If you want to do anything complicated with raster images you want the Java Advanced Imageing package. It's not part of the standard JDK but it's available free on Sun's site. It provides a wide range of filters which you use to construct a "pipeline" from your image source to a display, or back to a new image file.
Filters include mosaic (for placing images side by side) and colour space conversion filters.
I think you'll find what you want (though there's a lot of documentation to wade through).

When I return the external to the MacBook, all images appear in browser rectangles. What's happening on the iMac?

You may have a problem with the permissions on your external volume. Probably you are not the owner of your library on the second mac.
If you have not already done so, set the "Ignore Ownership on this Volume" flag on your external volume. To do this, select the volume in the Finder and use the Finder command "File > Get Info" (or ⌘I).
In the "Get Info" panel disclose the "Sharing & Permissions" brick, open the padlock, and enable the "Ignore Ownership on this Volume" flag. You will have to authentificate as administrator to do this.
Then run the "Aperture Library First Aid Tools" on this library and repair the permissions. To launch the "First Aid Tools" hold down the ⌥⌘-key combination while you double click your Aperture Library. Select "Repair Permissions" and run the repair; then repeat with "Repair Database". Do this on the omputer where you created the library and where you can see the thumbnails.
Then check, if you now are able to read the library properly on your iMac.

I have looked all around the iTunes Help section and just can't seem where to find out how to combine album songs under one album in the cover flow view. I know it's confusing so here is a picture of what I mean. The circled part is what I want to be under one picture.

You're on the right track. iTunes 8 is changed - you need to go to the Options tab to see the Compilation box.

How to combine two datarows (business component data) in BI Publisher

We are using BI Publisher in Siebel Environment.
We have data coming from two business components (like from 2 diff tables)
a) <?for-each:ssTest1?>
b) <?for-each:ssTest2?>
ssTest1 and ssTest2 are the business components
We need to combine these 2 datarows (a&b) and show the data into a single combined data row for ex like <?for-each:ssTest1ssTest2?> and show all the fields in that.
I'm not sure how we can combine these two data rows into a single combined data row and show the data.
Any help from any one would be apprecated.

In the issue above, if you want to show the two other tables in the report, I think you could combine the tables into one datatable joining on key. The link below show an example of a DataSet Helper from Microsoft about combine DataSets. Take note of

How do I add image upload to web app edit template?

How do I add image upload to web app edit template. When creating fields I am selecting image from the field type. But the only way to upload and image is when I create the web app item within the admin. The option to upload an image is not available when the user submit web form opens.

On the Details tab of the Web App setup, under Web App Item Options; have you ticked "Allow File Upload" and specified a Default Upload Folder?

How can I assign image file name from Main() class

I am trying to create library class which will be accessed and used by different applications (with different image files to be assigned). So, what image file to call should be determined by and in the Main class.
Here is the Main class

Your problem is one of timing. Consider this simple example.
