How to combine a number of tracks to one track (song)?

Songs on a CD are sometimes separated in several tracks.
When copying these tracks to the iPod, the song is splitted in the different tracks which will not be played as one complete song. So, when playing track one, track 2 is not necessarily the next.
Question, how can I combine these tracks to only one song?

the tracks can be joined into single tracks, using "Advanced > join CD tracks". you'll need to reimport them to do it though. see:

I imported a CD that I had burned previously with the 2 tracks of sound effects that I had downloaded from the internet (MP3 files), but I did not see an option to join the tracks when I imported the CD. In the upper right corner there were three buttons: Options, CD Info, and Import CD. When I click on Options, the drop-down menu has two choices: "Get Track Names" and "Submit CD Track Names". I cannot find an option to Join Tracks. Help!

Hi, I have a stack of five video tracks that make up an identification placard for a speaker. I need to create motion on this, but don't want to have to do it to every track individually. I believe there is a way to incapsulate all five tracks into one track. Does anyone know the method of doing this?

Select the tracks and type Option - C, or go to the menu Sequence > Nest Item(s).
That will nest the tracks in to one clip on your timeline. If you need to make changes in the nest, double click on the nested clip in the timeline and it will re-open the tracks that have been nested.

How to join two or more separate tracks into one track

I have a CD of music that I want to import. It is a study tool so all the tracks are parcelled up for easier examination- i.e. Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 in C Minor is not one long track, it is cut into 28 separate tracks ranging in time from 26 seconds 2:31 (minutes).
What I want to do is make all 28 tracks into one track so there is continuous play. I've tried the gapless album option. It didn't do the trick. Now I can just select continuous play button, but for things like 'party shuffle' it doesn't quite work - you end up with a 30 second blurb of a song.
Any suggestions?

Insert the CD.
Select the songs you want as one track then menu Advanced -> Join CD tracks, then import the CD.

 In my scenario My Mail sender Adapter reading attachment . It works fine for 1 attachement but if more than one comes It is reading all attachements but it is converting the First attachement only to XML format , rest of files are left as it is.

How to name tracks within one track.

Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone knows how to add track listings within one track just say like on a mixtape.
A compilation of songs played out into ine track that would go for roughly 45 mins. Ive seen it done on a few tracks before where under the name of the whole track it would have the album name and then cycle through the idividual track names as it would come to it.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. Maybe I'm misreading the interface. I figured out that I can select multiple clips by holding down control and clicking on their title bars, but only the last track stays selected. (see attached). I guess Audition is supposed to work like this. Maybe I don't understand enough about it yet. I'm used to Sonar and Audacity. Thanks again.

I have been remixing a soundtrack on one track. I have imported in many tracks and worked on them as one project and now I'd like to export them as seperate tracks by giving them track markers. I've been reading the manual and this forum but haven't found anything about it. I also wanted to use Logic to clean up some old vinyl records and export them as CDs. Help please.

How to combine a number of domain files?

There is an SVN controlled model that has been going on for a couple of years now. To domains are stored in version control as well. Originally an attempt was made to group domains into a number of files but this practice has not been adhered to. Therefore, there are currently a number of files that should be combined into a single domain file for the design. What is the supported method of merging these files into a single domain file that is then the default file for the whole design? Currently, the files are named in a chaotic way such as domain_file.xml, domain_file.xml.xml, domain_file_group_n.xml and so forth. And yes, at some point due to a Data Modeler feature or a user error a couple of files appeared with up to three .xml suffixes in them.

I think I have also figured out how this particular model ended up with domain files that had multiple .xml suffixes. Steps to reproduce using Data Modeler version 3.1.3.709:
1) Open Domain Administrator
2) Select a domain file to administer such as foobar_domains.xml.
3) Click on Add to add a new domain to that file.
4) Give the new domain a name. Note that the Domains file property now contains the complete file name: foobar_domains.xml.
5) Click on Apply and then on Save.
6) Close the Domain Administrator.
7) Save the model.
=> The newly added domain has been saved to foobar_domains.xml.xml and not to foobar_domains.xml as expected. However, as long as one does not save the whole model the new domain appears to stay in foobar_domains.xml.

How to combine format number and if statement?

I'm using XDO 5.6.1 under apps.
My issue is to display a number only if it is not equal to zero.
Otherwise, i need to display it in european mask using format_number function.
I tried all the condition statements (if, choose) and they work perfectly.

format number works fine too.

But i did not succeeded to combine if and format number

The result is always a blank field, even MAR_SUM is not nul.
I can not use Word format number bacause it do not work with my mask.

I have two loops in a table and when I insert <?if@row:position() mod 2=1 ?> <xsl:attribute name="background-color" xdofo:ctx="incontext">#DDDDDD</xsl:attribute>, in order to use cells highlight, my subtotals disappear at the end of my loop.

How to combine large number of key-value pair tables into a single table?

I have 250+ key-value pair tables with the following characteristics
1) keys are unique within a table but may or may not be unique across tables
2) each table has about 2 million rows
What is the best way to create a single table with all the unique key-values from all these tables? The following two queries work till about 150+ tables

A couple of questions, then a possible solution.
Why on earth do you have 250+ key-value pair tables?
Why on earth do you want to consolodate them into one table with one row per key?
You could do a pivot of all of the tables, without joining. something like:

group by keyIf you can do this in a single query, unioning all 250+ tables, then you do not need to worry about chaining or migration. It might be necessary to do it in a couple of passes, depending on the resources available on your server. If so, I would be inclined to create the table first, with a larger than normal percent free, then do the first set as a straight insert, and the remaining pass or passes as a merge.
Another alternative might be to use the approach above, but limit the range of keys in each pass. So pass one would have a predicate like where key between 1 and 10 in each branch of the union, pass 2 would have key between 11 and 20 etc. That way everything would be straight inserts.
Having said all that, I go back to my second question above, why on earth do you want/need to do this? What is the business requirement you are trying to solve. There might be a much better way to meet the requirement.

How to combine data from two rows into one row

I have the following sets of data. I want to find all the duplicate sets of field values. in the data below there is only one duplicate set: brenda, analyst, green.
DocID and Doc Seq combine to form the set key. FieldID I believe are consistent in that 1 is always name, 2 is job, 3 is favorite color etc. but there are up to 20 field IDs.
To tell you the truth, my client is a bit sketchy about the data and the values. I would like collapse the sets by getting all the field values into a single row. They could be in the same column, or in their own columns. This way I can then look for whatever
dups my customer seems to think that he has.
the first image is what i want (either in same column or in different columns. but they have to be in the order of the FieldID), the second is what i have. THANKS

How to combine multiple purchased aac files into one aac file

I recently purchased in iTunes an album consisting of 16 m4a files. I ended up creating a playlist in iTunes for the songs. I would like to create one m4a file which combines all and then play it in iTunes. Is the copy protection preventing me from doing so?
I know how to convert m4a files that I have converted to mp3 and combine them using Terminal with a cat command. Then I import that combined file into iTunes. All is well in this case. I tried this with the 16 m4a files and I could not import the resultant mp3 file into iTunes.

A simple way to accomplish the job, though not recommended is to print the 2 page file to a new PDF with multi-up (assuming you select vertical rather than horizontal locations) and adjust the paper in the Adobe PDF printer to be 8.5X22. At least you might give it a shot. Some variation, along with rotation possibly, might work.

How do I make all the clips on one track the same volume?

I am trying to raise the volume equally on all the clips. One would think that it would be as simple as turning up the volume knob on the audio mixer on the track with all the clips, but of course not, that would be TOO simple. When I raise the volume, it keeps jumping back and forth as if I asked it to key frame the volume knob. How can I perform the simple task of raising all the clip volumes to the same volume ?

I do not recall what version of Premiere Elements that you are using nor the computer operating system on which it is running.
So, I will generalize for now, referencing version 12...
1. Assuming you have several Timeline audio clips that you want with the same volume...select the first, go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/Volume Panel expanded and adjust the Volume.
2. Then right click the that first file (with the adjusted Volume), select Copy.
3. Select all the other audio clips that you want to have the same Volume level. Then right click anywhere in the selection and select Paste Effects and Adjustments.
Does that work for you.
If you have video with its audio linked to it, depending on the specific circumstances to be discussed later, you might want to unlink the audio and video beforehand.
