How to compile for Flash Player 11.3 in Flash CS6

Hi,
How can I compile for Flash Player 11.3 using Flash Professional CS6, the menu has only up to 11.2
what about 11.3 and the upcoming 11.4 ?
I've already downloaded and added AIR sdk 3.3 for AIR skds paths

Hi,
The provision to compile for FP11.3 and FP11.4 would be available in the next updater release for CS6.
Thanks and Regards,

I can add a new AIR SDK and compile for AIR 3.3, but I can't figure out how to compile for Flash Player 11.3.

You'll have a much better chance of getting a prompt answer in the Flash Professional forum:

You cannot download any flash players to the iPad. Best you can do is buy Skyfire Browser from the App Store, which will allow you to view some flash content. There are a couple of other browser apps that do this, too.

  • Flash player 10.1 with Flash Builder 4

How do you configure Flash Builder 4 to use Flash Player 10.1 debugger?
    I tried this:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/jasonsj/2010/03/targeting_flash_player_101_beta_in_flash_builder_4. html
And it doesn't work: It still launches flash player 10.0.x. I ran the flash player uninstaller and reinstalled flash player 10.1 rc5 debug version. Still no luck.
    Thanks,
    Trevor

    2 tricks to try:
    1) Remote debug by URL, see http://blogs.adobe.com/jasonsj/2010/05/debug_tricks_remote_debug_with_conditional_breakpoi nts.html
    2) Remote debug by URL=about:blank
For option #2, launch a debug session for your project, but instead of specifying the live URL, type in about:blank. Then, right click in the player and choose "Debugger". Select "Connect to debugger" and localhost.

  • Playback of flv using Flash Player 10.1 and Flash Media Interactive Server jerky.

    Greetings:
Thanks for taking time to read this.
    Here is our problem:
Playback of flv using Flash Player 10.1 and Flash Media Interactive Server jerky.
Playback ok if using Flash Player 10.0 with Flash Media Interactive Server.
    1. Record live using Flash Media Interactive Server
    2. Attempt to play back resulting flv using Flash Player 10.1 and Flash Media Interactive Server.
Video plays ok for a few seconds and then plays faster than as recorded -- very jerky.
    Audio plays at normal rate.
OS: Windows 7 64bit (two different machines. All updates installed.)
    Web browser: FireFox 3.6.10 and IE8 8.0.7600.16385
    Flash version: 10.1.85.3
Tried with hardware acceleration on and off.
Note: Also had another person report the same thing on a Mac.
We had been using Flex 3, so we tried building with Flash Builder 4 – had the same problem.
This is a show stopper for us.
Tried using Wowza and everything worked.
We’re dropping FMIS and switching to Wowza.
If someone can suggest something else to try, we would appreciate it.

    Hi Greg,
So if I understand correctly, your findings are:
Flash Player 10.1.85.3 + Flash Media Interactive Server = Jerky Video
Flash Player 10.0.x.x + Flash Media Interactive Server = Smooth Video
Flash Player 10.1.85.3 + Wowza = Smooth Video
And what about Flash Player 10.0.x.x + Wowza?
Also, if you could check the network traffic to confirm if it's Flash Player causing the issue or it is receiving it like that from FMIS.
    Cheers

  • How to know for sure something was made in Flash?

If you right-click on a game of movie in a website and see a box with the bottoim line "About Adobe Flash Player..." does that necessarily mean that the content was made with Flash (Either Flash Pro, Flash Builder, FDT, Flash Develop)?
Does it mean that the creators for sure used AS3, or could you in thery have an html5 or union project running in flash player?

There may not be actionscript in a program per se but when it creates swf it must abide by swf rules to at least create a proper wrapper so that final outcome is perceived by the Flash plugin as something native. I will try it later but I am pretty sure it will have a lot of ActionScript code because Flash pluging is just a library of ActionScript classes from this perspective.
Because SWF is an open source (sort of) I am sure there are tons of programs that will convert things to swfs with different level of success.

  • Flash Player written in the Flash 8

    Hi All,
How can I write flash player with flash 8? I need flash that
    can play other *.swf files.
I don't know what components and functions I should use.
    Please help me with this

I guess I don't understand the need for this - it is the same
as buying say a specific car and then
trying to use this same car's parts to build a new car from
it and for the same reason for having
the original car (to go places). Why are you needing to
re-invent the wheel? Everything you want to
do the Adobe Flash Player already does.

  • Best Practices: Flash Player 10.1 and Flash Lite 4

I've found the documentation for Flash Lite 4.  It appears to support most everything you'd want to do in AS3, aside from some desktop-specific APIs like Clipboard, File, ContextualMenu, etc..
I've also noticed that there's a Flash Lite 4 compile target in Flash CS5.  Would it be considered a best-practice to target Flash Lite 4 instead of Flash Player 10 for web content?  (Obviously, desktoppy web apps would still need to be compiled for 10).

    TJ,
Thanks for your great feedback and your kind words.  I'll certainly be making sure the team sees your comments, though I can't say we'll have 10.1 in place for you by Monday.

  • Wish to uninstall corrupt flash player before installing new flash player

    Hi there,
My old flash player (FP) is corrupt. As recommended by Adobe, I need to un-install the old FP program before installing a new FP program (flash player 9). But before I can un-install the old FP, I need to disable temporarily the add-on's to my browers, extensions, BHO(browser Helper Object), ActiveX, etc. The objective is to "block" any add on from preventing an un-install or an Install.
Does anyone out there know where these things are in Mac OSX 10.2.8 and how to disable them?
    Thanks.
    vkl

Can you SafeBoot the computer and then run the uninstaller, if available,
for that old of an OS X version? Was not even sure of any support for
Jaguar, since there really hasn't been much for Panther 10.3.9 for awhile.
Must be older players, since the latest ones have been too new for those
    older OS X systems, also.
At this moment, I have no ideas on where the parts may be in hiding; and
have not used Jaguar for more than three years, having both sold and
donated the computers I had which best ran Jaguar 10.2.8, (& dual-booted
OS9.2.2) at the same time. A slower transition than expected, since then,
to actually doing more with computers & less learning about repairing them.
Not sure how supportive the Adobe Uninstallers for Flash (and/or Shockwave)
Players are for those still capable of being used by Jaguar 10.2.8; and like so
many of the browsers, older versions 'sort of work' while being left behind.
+I've never had a Flash player become corrupted. What are the symptoms?+
If you have a backup clone of before this item became corrupted, you could try
& revert to the earlier full system clone; or if last but not least, Archive & Install.
+Perhaps someone with a longer-term memory or more experience in 10.2.8+
+will find your post and add the missing link to get you back up & running...+
+I had thought to try & email someone else in a different thread about this one+
+but the link only gives me the topic at hand, and the person has to be in the+
+thread in order to quote from it; apparently. I sought to email a.brody, who+

There is a short ton of semi-responsive results to a google of the topic inquiry:

One path, I've read about but cannot verify since the original link (site was wiped) is invalid now,
was to follow this suggestion, from the time you downloaded the new Flash Player 9 for 10.2.8:
"Get Flash Player 9 for Mac OSX1-.1-10.3. After downloading, DON'T open it...yet. Search all your hard drive
for "Flash Player.plugin". Delete any you find. Search for "flashplayer.xpt". Delete any you find. Empty the
trash. Quit all browsers, and install the Flash Player you downloaded. Next, search for "Flash Player.plugin".
Copy it and paste it at Library/Internet Plugins, unless it's already there. Paste it at yourhomefolder/Library
/Internet Plugins, unless it's already there. Search for "flashplayer.xpt". Copy and paste it at Library/Internet
Plugins, unless it's already there. Restart computer. Open Disk Utility. Select the hard drive, select "First Aid".
Repair Disk Permissions. When repaired, quit Disk Utility. Launch Safari or Firefox." - unknown 10.2.8 author.
    Maybe that means something helpful.
Some of it looks familiar yet distant...

    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Adobe Flash Player not working--Shockwave Flash Object not installing

Ok...let's try this again.  Somehow my previous discussion that I had been working on with eidnolb got marked as "Answered" when it wasn't.  If you are reading this and are also having problems with Adobe Flash Player, please START YOUR OWN THREAD!  That allows someone to help you individually and will hopefully prevent MY question from being accidentally marked as "Answered" when it's not.  THANK YOU!
Now to start the whole process over....
    1.  When I download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, my computer says it's succesful.  I'm able to verify through Add/Remove Programs that it IS on the computer.  However, when I'm on a site that requires AFP--like Hulu or YouTube--I get a message that says I need to download the latest version.
    2.  When I was working with eidnolb before, we found that for some reason the Shockwave Flash Object wasn't on my computer, even though I uninstalled and installed AFP several times and also restarted my computer.
    3.  I use Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 8.  My computer also has AVG 9.0.830 for anti-virus protection and Spyware Blaster.  The only firewall I use is the standard Microsoft firewall that came already installed.
    4.  I am the administrator on my computer.  I have also made sure the following are disabled when I download AFP:  anti-virus program, anti-spyware program, firewall, all add-ons in Explorer, and any messenger programs.
Thank you to whomever is available and willing to help me.  I truly appreciate it!

I had this problem too. I'm not an expert with this at all, but Adobe Support at:
                                                                                                           http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
                                                                                               and      http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html
said that if you try to use Flashplayer with Internet Explorer 8 (64 bit) it won't work and you'll just keep getting the message to "Install Flashplayer" over and over even if you can see in your files that you already have it installed. They told me to use the 32  bit version of IE  8, or another browser such as Mozilla Foxfire or Google Chrome (both of which are 32 bit).  Now I can watch Hulu with any of these three browsers. I didn't have to turn of AVG at all; but I have AVG  2011 Free Version 10.0.1170 downloaded from  http://www.download.com .  Also,  according to the first website shown above,  you don't have the latest version of Flashplayer,  which is recommended by Adobe.

  • Need Detailed description of the differences between Adobe Flash Player Plugin and Shockwave Flash

For many years now I have been in a quandry over Adobe Flash (plugin) and Shockwave flash. The quandry is also somewhat exacerbated by the variety of subsetted versions supplied for each.
You know, it is sorta like the name and namespace dilemna provided by Adobe's continuing use of "Macromedia" when sometimes referring to, or distributing, their products... eg still creating Macromedia folders during installs.
I have been told that Shockwave Flash actually contains the Flash plugins. If that is the case should I be upgrading to a newer Shockwave Flash version if  Adobe announces or (as recently occurred) denounces
a newer version of Adobe Flash.
Will you please provide me with details for, and distinctions between, these two products?
Hoping you can respond in a flash ... er... two flashes.
    Thanks

OK Thanks I silly-goofed in describing what I meant in my initial post. I needed to say what's the diff between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) (plugin) and Adobe Shockwave Player.
So will you please detail the differences between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) and Shockwave Player?
I have been told that Shockwave Player actually contains the Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) plugins. Is it both
Flash Player ActiveX control for Internet Explorer
Flash Player plugin for all other browsers
    that are contained therein?
If the above is indeed the case, should I be upgrading to a newer Shockwave Player version if  Adobe announces or (as recently occurred) denounces a newer version of Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) .
Here's where I am headed will all this:
I have been asked by one of your coworkers Chris Campbell,  to prepare an Adobe Bug report and paste back to the Adobe Forum thread:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4428382#4428382
Since I have Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6.4.634 and Adobe Flash (aka Adobe Shockwave Flash) ver 11,1,102,55 currently installed and since
Adobe Flash 11.2.202.235 will not install without a "...The  procedure entry point ... kernel32.dll ..." error for my Windows 2000 Professional configuration
I want to uninstall Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) ver 11,1,102,55 and the then further troubleshoot the MLB.TV media player "abnormal spinning circles" problem.
Will the MLB NexDef detector actually detect the "Flash version inside Shockwave player"?  Will the MLB.TV NexDef software actually work nicely with Shockwave Player Flash?
