How to completely avoid alignment procedure after a new cartridge install?

Is there a way to completely disable the annoying alignment procedure, every time I change the cartridge? I need to change cartridge about every month, and this is very annoying.
I want to make alignment only when I need it.
I have an HP Deskjet 3050.

Aligning the cartridges ensures high-quality output, The HP All-in-One prompts you to align the cartridges every time you install a new cartridge. I am sorry there is no way to turn that feature off.

We have 817 EE on NT and one developer created a lot of procedures, functions and vews. DB was not backuped and archived and export has not been done - our fault and we understand it. Sorry for this.
Ok, now the story: another developer dropped this db user and we lost everything: procedures, functions and vews. The new user with trhe same name was created and new schema was imported in this user, but all old objects are lost. We don't have export and backup and archive log files.
Question: may we can restore this lost stuff from some other sources. We are looking for lost codes, not data. May be we can use redo logs or shared pool or any other things. Any idea will be appreciated.

The switch has occurred after user was dropped, the data has been overwritten and there is be no way to use redo log files.
I would like to explore another opportunity. Is possible to use Shared Pool or any Data Dictionary internal information to restore texts of the lost SQL and PL/SQL scripts executed in this DB before user was dropped? Not too many scripts are executed in this DB and the lost ones may still be in stack. I remember that Shared Pool (cash) should keep last executed scripts in order to improve performance. They probably are kept in some special format. Can we restore these scripts? Of course they also might be pushed out by Import that had been done after user was dropped.

Must I print out a new Alignment Page with each new cartridge?

Do I need to print out a new Alignment Page with each new cartridge I install on my HP Photosmart C4480? Or can I save and reuse the initial one I got when first installing my printer cartridges? The Alignment pages all seem to be identical when I print them out with each new cartridge I install, but I'm not examining them with a microscope.
If I can save and reuse the Alignment page with sucessive cartridge replacements, when I am following the procedure for installing a new cartridge and the printer prompts me to print out a new Alignment page, is there an option to skip that step? I don't recall seeing that option on the control panel window on the printer.

The alignment pages all look the same because they are all the same, pretty sure its a scam to let you use ink. [snip]
I am pretty sure you do not understand what the alignment page is for - it provides information for alignment of black vs. color and also is used to calibrate the operating energy for the color cartridge.
You may be able to "fool" the printer by reusing an old alignment page, but the quality will suffer as you will not be running at the optimum energy.
You are certainly free to do what you want with your printer but please do not mislead others with misinformation.

Failure to print alignment page after changing ink cartridge

I just replaced the tricolor ink cartridge in my ENVY 5530 printer and after installing the new cartridge the unit is stuck in a loop of "Now printing alignment page..." however there is no noise indicating that the page is being fed. Attempts to cancel the action also result in a prolonged "Cancelling ..." but with no action. Based on other comments in this forum I have:unplugged the unit.removed all ink cartridgesRestarted the unit - where in I receive a message that I should use the power off button to prevent damage to the unit.reinstalled the cartridgesAttempted to print the alignment pageHowever the cycle simply repeats itself.Any assistance would be appreciated - the unit was functioning perfectly fine before it simply ran low on ink and used the ink cartridge sent by HP Ink service as the replacement unit. Hi SolomonI, Welcome to the HP Forums. I see that you are having an issue after you have installed new ink. I see that you have done numerous steps in the attempt to resolve this issue. You stated that you unplugged the unit from the power source. Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. One thing to try is to by pass the alignment page and see if the unit will print from a copy or print from the computer. Let me know how you make out. With Google's announcement of data collection beginning March 1, 2012 I want to completely avoid any use, and thus any support of this company.
Can Firefox be modified to leave Google out or do I have to go back to IE and Bing?

You can remove Google altogether from your tool bar through Manage Search Engines. Click to the left of the Google name, on the icon and that should enable a drop down menu. At the bottom of that menu it will have Manage Search Engines, click on that and you should see a list of the search engines available, you can delete Google and add others, have only one, there are several options available. I agree with you regarding Google. However, I also live by this Golden Rule: Never write down anything you don't want anyone to know. This applies to websites, social media (don't use them, myself), etc. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Photosmart 5510, you are unable to print in black ink after replacing the cartridge.
I would like you to continue here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker

How to remove/avoid faint line after dividing objects and recoloring intersection

I created two rings which should pass through each other similar to the olympic rings.
I recreate the two rings (both objects, filled no stroke) and position them. I select them both and click divide using the pathfinders tool.
I then change the color of one point of intersection to that of the background ring (in this case from pink to black).
However, as shown in the image below a very faint line is left. This shows up when I create a .pdf file of the ring.
How can I prevent this faint line from showing? Have searched for the answer but can't find it.

Probably just an artifact. But you can select that oath and look at the appearance panel and make sure it only has on fill and no stroke.
Orr you can turn that into alive paint group and use the Live Paint Bucket to fill it with black even though it already is black.
Or you can redo this by creating outlines of the rings as you did before selecting both outline rings and clicking on the live paint bucket to turn the art into a live paint group and fill the segment with black.
If using CS 5 you might want to hide the original path after using the outline stroke command.
In CS5 when you outline a stroke the original Path is preserved so you either want to use it delete it or turn its visibility off.

I did a Windows 7 RC install and it seems to have disable booting to the recovery partition. I can see that both the SERVICEV003 and Lenovo partition are still there.

How do you launch trial Photoshop after a seemingly successful install?

I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS5.5. The installation progress went to 100% and I clicked "Done". The only icon on desktop is "Adobe Download Assistant". Surely something is wrong but I'm not sure where to troubleshoot. Photoshop was installed on a PC using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I found a folder with "Set- up", but that started "Initializing Installer", Been there, done that. Any thoughts?

Are you able to locate the program under Start>All Programs? Photoshop CS5.5 does not create a shortcut automatically on the desktop for you. You will need to create your own shortcut if you wish to launch Photoshop from the desktop. Please also make sure to create a shortcut and not move the application to the desktop.

I had CS 5 Web and CS 5 Premier EDU versions. I purchased CS 5.5 Master and installed it, but it left all the CS 5 Apps installed so I now have two versions of CS installed.
Can I just drag and drop all the CS 5 versions to the trash can without it impacting my new CS 5.5 apps?

Depends on the application. For InDesign having every possible version at your disposal is very important since the native files are not backward compatible. Even saving back through IDML is not perfect.
For other apps, not as necessary.

How to save address book & mailboxes prior to new OSX install

I need to re-install Leopard and delete everything on the drive, because the entire system seems messed. However, I would like to keep my mail boxes and my address book. Can I save these on a thumb drive and then reload them after the install? How do i do that? Thanks.

First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
For Address Book, quit AB...
Files...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist

How can I configure a mysql-database for new cms install?

I just install a mac os x server on os x 10.8.4, but can't create a database to install a cms, how can I do this ? How cann I access the database from admin window or else ?

Consider acquiring some external hosting as part of your efforts, then? Various folks offer this hosting, and that gets you out of maintaining (most of) MySQL and Drupal, and more time to spend on your web site and whatever else you're working on.
As for your questions, please follow the installation instructions for installing MySQL, then follow the instructions for installing Drupal. The OS X Server setup is basically the same as any other Unix system, too; what you're doing on Ubuntu is more or less the same as what you're doing on other Linux and Unix systems, and on OS X and OS X Server. (This is also at the core of why most of these add-on widgets expect you to set up your PATH, too.)
The Drupal database connections are managed under the sites directory, a subdirectory located within the Drupal directory tree. You'll find subdirectories for the specific Drupal sites you've configured there, with a settings.php file for each. There's also a general sites directory with modules and themes that can be applied generically. The settings.php file itself can be edited with nano, vim or emacs via the command line, or with one of a very few ASCII-capable GUI editors. If you don't know what I'm referring to here, use nano editor.
Yes, you can install phpmyadmin on OS X. I wouldn't, though. Sequel Pro has a much more familiar interface for folks that use OS X, and you don't have to protect that tool quite like you have to protect and maintain phpmyadmin against attack. Do not allow remote access to phpmyadmin, as ill-secured sites are a popular target for remote attacks.
The Drupal web forums are a pretty good resource for Drupal-related questions, too.

Firefox installed in Archlinux can display fonts after a new fonts installed

Hi! I'm a Linux user. Recently I migrate to Archlinux. At first time I used Firefox without issues. Then in the process the install and config software and the distro I installed new fonts. That fonts I used in IBM Linux distro, OpenClient based on RHEL 6.5. Thats fonts are a backup of that machine. The set of fonts include around of 4000 fonts: Windows 7 Fonts, Google Fonts, Droid and others. In RHEL I have not issues with this fonts. The fonts groups are:

But in Archlinux after fonts installation Firefox can not show fonts, and I can not write in textbox. I do:
* Reset Firefox to defaults --> Do not works.
* Uninstall Firefox / Re install Firefox --> Do not works.
* Reinstall fontconfig package in Archlinux. --> Do not works.
* Update font cache --> Do not works.
