How to completely empty spam folder

You have to select each one - one at a time - in order to delete them and once they are in the trash, then you can delete them all at once.
Either that or do it in your webmail account using Safari or any other we pub browser that you use on the iPad.

My spam filter always gets spam never has it gotten an email I want to keep.
So how can I automatically have it sent to trash - I don't want to keep manually delete-ing the hundred or more spam mails a day.

I dragged one photo to the My Pictures folder in Finder. I knew it was just one photo because it was the only one highlighted in yellow. When I saw it in Finder, it was labled iPhoto. I thought it was the wrong picture, so in Finder I deleted the file. When I got back to iPhoto, EVERYTHING was missing. Events, photos, recent, and even trash. At this point, I went into my Trash. I searched for iPhoto and iPhoto was there. I opened it and it was still empty. All I want to do is to get my collection of photos back!

Best solution is to load your backup from before you did this?
Where did you drag the photo from?
Have you tried dragging it from the trash to the desktop? What size is it?
What size is your iPhoto library in the pictures folder?

Thunderbird does not create or use a Spam folder. Your email provider might. Thunderbird used the term Junk for this type of mail to keep things separate from what the providers do.
Is this an IMAP email account or POP account.
With IMAP the folders are created and reside on the email server and you subscribe to the folders to view them. You subscribe to folders under the File menu on the Menu Bar.
Deleted items usually end up in the Trash folder. Have you looked there.
Log into your account at your email providers web mail page and see if the Spam folder is still there.

You actually cannot do anything to your ipad when its locked but look at pictures the time and date, you need to restore it, and if it dosent let you restore, good luck chuck Heres how to restore it: Okay, i only know the itunes way soz, lol. Try to connect your ipad to itunes, if it does let you then you should be able to select the device you have in the corner somewhere, once you do that you should see a screen that looks sort of like your ipads setting, you should have a button that says "Restore" click that and your ipad should be restored. If that dosent work you should try going to your regular office depot or something. Good Luck!

I Think that you had a corrupt email or an email with a really large attachment in that folder and it is now causing the mail app to crash. When the app closes and goes back to the home screen, that is an app crashing. I would try to delete this folder on the server. Log into your Gmail in a web browser and try to delete it there. If you delete it there, that will delete it on the iPad.

In the mailbox list, below the word "MAILBOXES" and the standard mailboxes (Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Trash, & Junk), you should have some lines like "SMART MAILBOXES", "REMINDERS", "RSS", "ON MY MAC", and a line with the name of each of your mail accounts. Each of those lines may have subordinate lines indented below it, or they may be hidden. Before Lion, the top-level lines would have standard disclosure triangles to their left like folders, but Lion Mail removed that visual clue in favor of a word "Show" or "Hide" to the right that appears only when you mouse over it.
The Gmail Spam folder you seek is two folders deep inside your Gmail account.

So I want my Mail to do basically what I said in the subject there.
Gmail does a good job of sending spam to the spam folder.
But Mail downloads all of it, including those.
I want it to ONLY download what's in my actual inbox. How do I get it to do that?
