How to completely uninstall itunes from the computer.

Hello. Everytime I uninstall itunes 7 and want to install older version, I have a message saying that a new version is and can run or something like that. I would like to uninstall completely to install older version to see if that works with my ipod version 1.1.1
thanks

It's probably your iTunes library files that are messing things up for you. Make sure iTunes is closed, then go into "My Music" found in "My Documents", and then open the iTunes folder. There's an iTunes Library.itl (you might not see the file extension) and an iTunes Music Library.xml. There should also be a Previous iTunes Libraries folder. Delete both the first two files I mentioned, and go into the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. Copy the library that is dated on the day you upgraded to iTunes 7. Paste it in the iTunes folder (the one where the files were that you deleted. Then rename the file to just "iTunes Library.itl". You should then be able to open the older version of iTunes.

  • How to completely uninstall labview from one computer and avoid to occupy the licence

    Hi,
Usually one labview can be installed into three computers. Now i have already installed all and am going to install one into another computer. So I have to uninstall one of three and want to know how i can completely uninstall the labview. Thanks so much for your help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

use NI License Manager to de-activate the license.  That will free up the NI database entry so that you are OK to activate the same license on a new machine (you really don't need to uninstall LabVIEW- the lack of activated license will prevent use.)  As I remember reading the License Agreement, you can do this up to 4 times per year.
If you do not have access to the old machine (say, because it fell off the roof or something like that) call NI service and they can manually delete the activation.

  • I am unable to completely uninstall iTunes from my computer

i have deleted most of the files for it but it wont let me delete the program called "iTunesMiniPlayer.dll"

Hmmm. If it's throwing that message on just one file in the iTunes folder in your program files, that suggests the file may be damaged (fooling the computer into thinking it might be in use or write-protected).
The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you do the deletion now?

You should be able to uninstall iTunes by going into Control Panel on your computer, finding iTunes in the list of your installed programs, highlighting it, and clicking Uninstall at the top of that list.

  • How do I transfer iTunes from one computer to another?

How do I transfer iTunes from one computer to another?

This really depends on how technical you want to get, and how much of the library data you want to retain. First, there is getting the actual song files over to your new computer. If both computers are on the same network and are on iTunes 9, you can use home sharing to transfer the song files to your new computer.
Once the files are transferred, now you have to get all of the metadata transferred, like Playlists and Song Ratings. There is a method for doing this that involves editing your Library.xml file to transfer Playlists, Playcounts, etc..
If all you want to transfer is your Playlists and song files, there are programs that will back up your playlists so you can transfer them to a new computer, but if you're able to do the above XML edits (which are pretty simple), that is preferred (and cheaper).
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.

  • I accidentally uninstalled itunes from my computer and when i redownloaded it, it says i need to download my old itunes but i dont remember which one it was?

i accidentally uninstalled itunes from my computer, when i redownloaded the newer software, it says it wont work and that i need to download the last version of itunes that i had.. but i dont remember which version it was! i need help

Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album.  These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer.  If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".  Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141.  To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar.  Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

how do I download pictures from the computer to the ipad?
I want to temporarily put pictures that I took from another camera that's on my desktop into my IPAD so I can carry it to another location and show off my pictures to friends and family?

Connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you want more control over your photos (e.g. being able to sort them directly on the iPad and delete synced photos) then there are third-party photo apps such as Photo Manager Pro.

Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
