How to completely uninstall Premier Elements 4???

Hi there,
is there a proper way to uninstall Prem El 4, I want to then re-install it, to see if that helps my recent problems
                                                                                              thanks Pattie

Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware then use it to run the PRE4 uninstaller. Once that step completes Revo searches the registry and file system for leftover remnants. These are displayed and you choose which to delete. I generally let it delete all and have only ever had one problem where I had to rollback to the backup Revo automatically creates before each undelete.
Cheers,
Neale

  • How to completely delete Photoshop Elements from my computer??

    Hi
I am trying to completely remove Photoshop Elements from my computer.   So far, I have failed in my attempts to do this.   The reason I'm doing this is b/c for some reason that I can't fathom, the folders in My Pictures -- the folders named by shot date -- contain random duplicates. When this happens, the file names folow the convention of DSC_0222 and DSC_0222-1. Exactly the same file size and metadata.  In some folders, every picture is duplicated. In other folders, only selected pitcures within the folder are duplicated.   I can't figure out how they got there -- e.g. it doesn't seem to bear any connection to the photos I've edited, which was one theory I had for a while.   Is Elements responsible? Or is this some sort of bug in the download process from the camera (I have a Nikon D40).  Anyway, I've given up on trying to sovle this problem and decided I would go back to the beginning and reload everything from my camera.   So, my real question here is about how to completely uninstall Elements.
Here's what I did:    I uninstalled Photoshop Elements through the Add/remove programs utility.  I got no errors during the uninstall process.   Then I completely deleted the My Pictures directory (don't worry -- I have it backed up in multiple places!!).   So, at this point there are *no* pictures on my computer at all.    I reinstall Elements, open it up and -- you guessed it!!! -- the catalog is still there with all the thumbnails of the pictures that i deleted from my hard disk.   Of course, each thumbnail is flagged as "Missing File".
So, how do I uninstall/reinstall Elements and get it to forget all memory of the previous catalog?   Why is it "remembering" it in this way when the pictures aren't even on the computer anymore?  Isn't this a bug???
I've been working on this issue for much longer than I care to remember-- if anyone can tell me how to get myself truly back to ground-zero so I can start over I would be deeply grateful.   After upgrading to Elements 9 (from 7) to try to solve this problem I am close to just abandoning Elements entirely.....
WHile we're at it, if anyone has any idea where the duplicates pictures are coming from and how I prevent that from happening, I'm' all ears!!!!
    Thanks!

    Hi
Thanks so much for the response.   So, Help/System Info says that the catalog is here:
    Catalog Location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Catalog\
but no such file appaers to exist.  In fact, I can only get as far as All Users.   Then there is no directory under that called "Application Data".
i'm still seeing the thumbnails when I got into Elements tho'....   :-(

  • Problem completely uninstalling Photoshop  Elements 10

How do I completely uninstall Photoshop Elements 10?  I have already gone to the uninstall program, and it uninstalled it, however it is stil on my computer.  When I go to Adobe it is still there, when I try to delete it, this is the message that I get:  You require permission from SYSTEM to make changes to this folder.
I have no idea what this means, or what to do about it.  I have installed Photoshop Elements 11.
    I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit).

Permissions issue means you need to be logged in as Admin in order to uninstall PSE10. If that doesn't work, please download CS Cleaner tool from : CSCleaner and run it as Admin, thereby uninstalling all left out traces of PSE10.
Let me know if you need more help on this.
    Thanks

  • How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs

How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs.  I have looked on my hard drive extensively for a library or utility folder that would have an uninstall program, nothing.  I want to install Elements 9, but have found out that Elements 9 does not remove Elements 6, so I want to remove elements 6 first.

Strange that PSE6 does not show up via the control pane.
I wouldn’t worry about uninstalling it. The two versions sit happily side by side and PSE6 takes up hardly any file space compared with PSE9.

  • Maps on N80: How to completely uninstall before re...

Nokia Maps worked fine on my N80. Installed on the memory card, with maps for England and some parts of France and Spain. For some reason it now crashes when 'show on map' is used, whether it's from a new search or a recent search. It crashes just at the point it is zooming in.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling however the same thing happens. I have deleted all maps via Nokia Map Loader and since reloaded them.
I would like to know which system folders contain settings etc. for Maps so that I may again uninstall the app, completely this time, and try re-installing.
As I mentioned, Maps is installed on a memory card. I wouldn't know when the crashes started, in relation to other activity on the device - it may have been when I added new maps, or it may have been since installing a 3rd party app, I'm not certain but I'd just like to know how to completely uninstall Maps without having to scrub the device or memory card.

    Hi dougalzene
Unfortunately on this manufacturer's sponsored forum, I would have to say that the only way of deleting the "installation log" would be to reformat your device.

  • HT4759 How to Completely Uninstall iCloud? Office 2007 Save As Crashes

I can no longer use "Save As" in Office 2007 since I enabled ICloud.  Word and Excel Crash. And Outlook does not seem to be about to send more than one email at a time.  I have to select the Send/Receive button right after I create a new email.  If I wait and create a second email, the first email in the outbox changes status from ready to send to cannot send.  And even if I open it and try to send it, it will not send.  I have to re-create it.
I want to know how to thoroughly uninstall ICloud.  Other posters on Microsoft (Girish M) and Apple (SkinnyNick) have indicated that the problem is related to ICloud.  And I can confirm that I started having problems right after enabling ICloud.  Here are the references:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2007-excel/excel-2007-clo sing-unexpectedly-when-trying-to/69705682-06ca-4e39-b17e-56d4bacc3452

I spent a lot of time trying to trouble shoot this problem.  I ran the Office install to repair.  This did not work.  I uninstalled all Office 2007 related products.  I then manually purged all directories relating to office including the Common Shared Directories.  Then, I ran Microsoft's FixIt to uninstall Office to make sure everything was uninstalled.  Then, I reinstalled Office 2007 and it still failed.  I thought about installing Office 2010, but the second post (above SkinnyNick) indicates that this would not work.
So, I am looking for a way to uninstall iCloud including that parts that is causing this problem.  Now, the second post (above) from
SkinnyNick) says that he tried to uninstall iCloud but this did not fix the problem.  He finally reconfigured iCloud by de-selecting Outlook, but I would rather completely remove iCloud.
Can anyone provide instructions on how to completely remove iCloud so that my Office 2007 products will function again using Save As?
    Thanks,
    Rob

As a Windows Application Developer who has more than 28 years of professional development experience, I can tell you that anything is possible in terms of how developers implement their applications. I have seen just about everything under the sun, and it would not surprise me if Apple's iCloud not only places files in key Windows directories, but it may use configuration information in a file as opposed to the Window Registry to control how their application behaves. And this would prevent “System Restore" from fixing the problem. Configuration information can be stored in many places. And, even if you do use the Windows Registry to control how your application works, you can key off of new files (like a user profile file) to control how your application to behaves. Csound1, you have been very generous with your time, and I am very grateful for your advice. Thank you.

crobat and the new flash player will not install correctly.

If uninstalling Acrobat normally does not resolve the issue, you better ask in the appropriate Acrobat forum.  Don't forget to mention your OS and any relevant details.
You can continue this topic regarding your problem with Flash Player, but we also need to know your OS, browser, and the exact details of your problem.

  • How to completely uninstall a downloaded program from my macbook pro

I am trying to uninstall a program that I downloaded from the internet and do not use anymore. However the drag and drop into the trash bin does not do it because it is still in my applications folder. How do I completely uninstall it from my macbook pro?

Typically there are a couple of ways.
    1. What you did followed by emptying the trash, and
    2. Use the uninstaller that may have been bundled in the package.
If available, you should run the uninstaller provided by the application.

  • How can I get Premier Elements 13 to recognize Photoshop Elements 11?

I already had Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and just purchased Premier Elements 13. I want to use Photoshop to improve photos I import into Premier Elements.  A right click gets me to a menu that should let me use Photoshop, but when I click that I'm asked if I want to buy Photoshop.  Premier Elements isn't recognizing my Photoshop.  How can I solve the problem?   I tried to post this earlier but can't find it now so my apologies if I'm duplicating the question.

    Pulfnick
Not sure if the following is too much of a stretch on what you really can and cannot get in the way of integration between Photoshop Elements11 and Premiere Elements 13, but...
Are you putting all your edited photos as thumbnails in the Elements Organizer 11? And, do you have a fairly large build up of edited images
there that you would like to use in Elements Organizer 13/13.1? If so, have you considered catalog conversion? Basically you can convert the Elements Organizer 11 catalog in Elements Organizer 13/13.1 (using 13/13.1's File Menu/Manage Catalogs/Catalog Manager and the Convert option).
The result is that you have the Elements Organizer 11 catalog in Elements Organizer 13/13.1. And, at the same time, the 11 catalog remains unchanged in content back in its Elements Organizer 11.
But, when you add to the Elements Organizer 11 afterwards, I have found that those additions are not reflected in its converted version in Elements Organizer 13/13.1. And, any changes
in the 11 catalog in 13/13.1 are not reflected in Elements Organizer 11 catalog. Sort of a one time perk? Be aware, if you are an Elements Organizer slideshow user, the Elements Organizer 11 and 13/13.1 slideshows are markedly different. Elements Organizer 13/13.1 will accept 11's Slideshow Project in the conversion process but will force you to change the slideshow format to its new kind - which has its pros and cons.

  • How to completely uninstall an app ?

Been using Arch for over 2 years by now. There's just a small thing bugging me. I know I can remove an app nearly completely with the
    pacman -Rns <name>
But I was wondering how could I completely uninstall the app ... like remove all the config files, the stuff in /usr and the entries in various menus and so on. I do understand it might not be possible, but I was just wondering whether there was something like ... Revvo Uninstaller for Arch linux ?

gapo wrote:Sorry I wasn't clear. Pacman does not remove my configurations that the application creates.
I installed wine once and had a hell of a time removing all the entries it made in pcmanfm.
I was hoping for something other than deleting them by hand.
Those files are not the responsibility of pacman. Deleting them would be analogous to deleting the Text files you've created when you decide to uninstall nano....
