How to completely uninstall server?

I am running Lion now, and went into launchpad and clicked the "x" that showed up, but I still get processes showing up from the server. How do I fix this?

I presume you only take the computer in for your own security. Why not leave it with your mobile phone, iPod, etc? I would think these other devices are also banned and that no employee is allowed those either.
My mind actually boggles at the implications if they are truly serious about this!
If of course your computer contains whatever it is that you are trying to sell make hard copies & carry them in or burn cd's/dvd's in a format they can run on their own computers. You could use memory sticks too.

Maps on N80: How to completely uninstall before re...

Nokia Maps worked fine on my N80. Installed on the memory card, with maps for England and some parts of France and Spain. For some reason it now crashes when 'show on map' is used, whether it's from a new search or a recent search. It crashes just at the point it is zooming in.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling however the same thing happens. I have deleted all maps via Nokia Map Loader and since reloaded them.
I would like to know which system folders contain settings etc. for Maps so that I may again uninstall the app, completely this time, and try re-installing.
As I mentioned, Maps is installed on a memory card. I wouldn't know when the crashes started, in relation to other activity on the device - it may have been when I added new maps, or it may have been since installing a 3rd party app, I'm not certain but I'd just like to know how to completely uninstall Maps without having to scrub the device or memory card.

HT4759 How to Completely Uninstall iCloud? Office 2007 Save As Crashes

I can no longer use "Save As" in Office 2007 since I enabled ICloud. Word and Excel Crash. And Outlook does not seem to be about to send more than one email at a time. I have to select the Send/Receive button right after I create a new email. If I wait and create a second email, the first email in the outbox changes status from ready to send to cannot send. And even if I open it and try to send it, it will not send. I have to re-create it.
I want to know how to thoroughly uninstall ICloud. Other posters on Microsoft (Girish M) and Apple (SkinnyNick) have indicated that the problem is related to ICloud. And I can confirm that I started having problems right after enabling ICloud. Here are the references:

I spent a lot of time trying to trouble shoot this problem. I ran the Office install to repair. This did not work. I uninstalled all Office 2007 related products. I then manually purged all directories relating to office including the Common Shared Directories. Then, I ran Microsoft's FixIt to uninstall Office to make sure everything was uninstalled. Then, I reinstalled Office 2007 and it still failed. I thought about installing Office 2010, but the second post (above SkinnyNick) indicates that this would not work.
So, I am looking for a way to uninstall iCloud including that parts that is causing this problem. Now, the second post (above) from
SkinnyNick) says that he tried to uninstall iCloud but this did not fix the problem. He finally reconfigured iCloud by de-selecting Outlook, but I would rather completely remove iCloud.
Can anyone provide instructions on how to completely remove iCloud so that my Office 2007 products will function again using Save As?

As a Windows Application Developer who has more than 28 years of professional development experience, I can tell you that anything is possible in terms of how developers implement their applications. I have seen just about everything under the sun, and it would not surprise me if Apple's iCloud not only places files in key Windows directories, but it may use configuration information in a file as opposed to the Window Registry to control how their application behaves. And this would prevent “System Restore" from fixing the problem. Configuration information can be stored in many places. And, even if you do use the Windows Registry to control how your application works, you can key off of new files (like a user profile file) to control how your application to behaves. I am trying to uninstall a program that I downloaded from the internet and do not use anymore. However the drag and drop into the trash bin does not do it because it is still in my applications folder. How do I completely uninstall it from my macbook pro?

Typically there are a couple of ways.
1. What you did followed by emptying the trash, and
2. Use the uninstaller that may have been bundled in the package.
If available, you should run the uninstaller provided by the application.

In the adobe air 1.1 install/uninstall document, it says "Removing an AIR application removes all files in the application directory. However, it does not remove files that the application may have written to outside of the application directory. "
But it's not true. I found you cannot completely uninstall the app if there is any user files under app directory. If the user re-install the app, it will reminder the user "some error has occurred ...because an application with that name already exists at the selected installation location.... ".
How to get rid of this problem if the user didn't clear up the folder manually before re-install? If it's a limitation of adobe air, anyone could give me any evidence from official documents? Cause I have to persuade the user to accept it Thank you.

You shouldn't need to uninstall the Micro, it won't conflict. If tags aren't being sent properly then there might be some issue with the tags being read from the files. Check with a dedicated tagging program, and rewrite the tags perhaps on some test files.

I would like to know how I can completely uninstall/reinstall my iTunes 8 as administrator without affecting the users iTunes libraries.
For uninstall I was following http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224 which is for iTunes 7 and doesn't seem to work for iTunes 8 equivalently. What additional files am I missing? When trying to reinstall iTunes 8 from .dmg, the Installer stills tells me that I am about to recieve an update rather than a new installation....

Go to HD>Library>Receipts and remove the receipt for iTunesX.pkg.
When the installer looks it will see no receipt. The only actions that I have done in the past to reinstall iTunes is to be sure I have a good b/u of the music files as well as everything in the iTunes Folder. I trash the iTunes app and remove the receipt then reinstall.

Greetings;
I regularly visit a customer site where wireless devices are forbidden because they manufacture and test wireless equipment. They are very strict about it and in the past when I've visited they would completely uninstall my PC laptop's wireless driver before they would allow me to bring it into their facility.
I went back to their site and they didn't know how to 'uninstall' the driver on my MBP so they wouldn't allow it on campus.
I did some research/Googleing and haven't come up with anything. Does anyone know how to completely remove the Airport driver? And perhaps more importantly to me personally, how to re-install it after I leave the customer?

Hi!
How do I completely uninstall the all-in-one drivers?
I already used the standard windows uninstaller (via the control panel), but there are still remnants left (e.g. remaining drivers and dlls in the %systemroot%/spool/drivers)
Is there any way of automatic removal?

I understand you have a Deskjet 3520 that you'd like to completely remove from your system. I will certainly do my best to help you in resolving this.
I would recommend that you utilize the Microsoft Fix It Solution Center to finish removing the software. Follow the screen shot below to see what selections to make to get the uninstall help. If that doesn't give you the desired result you can also try the Revo Uninstaller which I've seen many customers use as well.

I installed FCP on my Cube but the Cube couldn't run that app so I uninstalled it. However, whenever I check for software updates I am offered the Pro Applications Update 2005-01 version 1.0, so I presume that I did not completely uninstall FCP. How do I do so?

Shane's instructions helped me to find additional files to delete, but the Pro Applications update is still offered even after I have deleted all the files I can find related to LiveType, FxPlug, PluginManager, Apple Uncompressed 422 Codec, Helium, and DVCPROHD (See http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301888). I neglected to mention in my first message that I had installed Final Cut Studio, not just Final Cut Pro. How can I get rid of it completely?

use NI License Manager to de-activate the license. That will free up the NI database entry so that you are OK to activate the same license on a new machine (you really don't need to uninstall LabVIEW- the lack of activated license will prevent use.) As I remember reading the License Agreement, you can do this up to 4 times per year.
If you do not have access to the old machine (say, because it fell off the roof or something like that) call NI service and they can manually delete the activation.

How to completely uninstall all of Safari extension's remenents

   I hated how in Safari when you first zoom in it's too small to read. So I'd zoom in and notice that when all other windows open you keep having to rezoom any addition windows that open since Safari doesn't keep the zoom level for all pages except the initial one that you zoom in. This gets to be a pain and can't understand why by now Apple hasn't addressed this issue.
   So what I did is go to the Safari button in the left hand top of the screen and select extensions and believe it or not they have an extension that I installed that after being install called (Zoom All Screens) truely does keep the zoom level when you first log in and also when opening up all other windows does keep the zoom level.
   Problem is when I went to my e-mail the whole page wasn't coming out so it works and it doesn't.
Other than uninstalling this extension which will uninstall from pressing the (uninstall) button does Safari store remenants anywhere's else on the computer and where do I go to (COMPLETELY) remove all rememnants of this extension that I've uninstalled? Again I don't know if pressing the unintall button removes just the extensions and all other remenants of the extention or if the extension leaves remenants somewhere else on the computer or when uninstalling the extension removes the extension itself and (remenants of the extensions along with it completely or not).
Not sure whether it stores remenants of the unintalled extension anywheres else on the computer or not. Would like to have a solution on this and all replys will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Open a Finder window.
From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type of copy paste:
~/Library/Safari/Extensions
Click Go.
FYI, the uninstaller should do the trick for you.
