I need to try cloning my MacBook Pro again to my new IMac.

Open the Applications/Utilities folder and launch the Migration Assistant application. This will allow you to transfer all of your files to your new iMac.
You can use tools like Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper to 'clone' your MacMook Pro hard drive contents, however you may experience serious issues if you try to use the OS from your MacBook Pro on your iMac because it may not have all of the proper drivers for the iMac hardware. The Migration Assistant will properly move all of your user files to the new system.

Rather than using Migration Assistant, which can cause trouble with the PPC to Intel change, simply boot the G5 in FireWire target disk mode and manually transfer the following:
/Home/Library/Keychains (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Mail (copy the whole folder)
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
You might want to look over Kappy's helpful guide for migrating, which covers the full process for a manual migration (including the above files).

Yes.
You can authorize up to 5 computers to play itunes music ( pre-itunes plus). There is no limit on itunes plus ( all itunes music for the past several years) and imported music.
You can sync as many ipods/ipads/iphones as you like to each of your computers.

We have an existing 6.0 portal deployed to a fairly large number of users internal to our company. We have been activly developing for our next release which includes tabs and a few new custom providers and channels. The question is what is the best/proper way to migrate the users profiles from one machine to another?
The version upgrade will be taking place on a different machine than our existing portal deployment.
So:
v1.0 on machine A user customizations --> v1.1 on machine B
Can we just perform an ldiff export on machine A then import that into machine B, then deploy our changes?

IMO there is just one way that works:
- first step: look for running forms services (forms server or more), stop them
- second step: go to the registry, erase the whole key: hkey_local_machine/software/oracle
-delete the whole directory with forms.
Its brute force, I know; but it works within 5 minutes!!

No, you can transfer from a Mac wirelessly, wired ethernet, Thunderbolt or Firewire. Your older Mac must have the same connection, but you can use adaptors if necessary. For example, you can use an Ethernet cable with an Ethernet-Thunderbolt adaptor if your older Mac has an ethernet port.
Wireless tends to be pretty slow (can take many hours) so it's recommended to choose a wired connection whenever you can.

If you use Time Machine or another backup device, you can simply replace a previous version of the software. If you don't use Time Machine or haven't backed up, your options are more limited: change the data manually, or reinstall.

That is correct. You'll need either an ethernet cable or a firwire cable and a firewire to thunderbolt adapter to connect the two macs together. Here's info on Migration/Setup assistant

Rather than a 100% identical clone to 40 Macs, I suspect you want the same basic image to be loaded on to those 40 Macs but will require some individualisation so that for example each has a unique computer name.
NetRestore and System Imaging Utility can do this but a lot of people including myself prefer to use DeployStudio which has more capabilities. See http://www.deploystudio.com
DeployStudio can be used to like NetRestore to restore an image to multiple Macs at the same time which is like multiple people downloading at the same time, but it can unlike the standard NetRestore also be configured to use multicast traffic which is more like a TV broadcast whereby multiple people receive the same transmission at the same time. This can be more efficient for imaging larger numbers of computers at the same time. For example 1Gbps shared between 40 computers is only 25.6Mbps each, but if you multicast a single transmission of 100Mbps to 40 computers then all 40 can listen to it at the same time and still be receiving 100Mbps even on the same network connection.

Migration assistant on the power mac just waits and waits and does not find.
Migration assistant on the mac mini swears that I need to update the software on the other machine.
I have all the latest updated software possible for both except for mavericks on teh mac mini.
Now what?

You can skip MA on the PPC Mac by not networking, but using FWTDM...
