how to conect old version of skype on win 7

Depends on what you mean by old. All versions prior to 6.14 is now retired, and cannot log on to the Skype servers.

  • Old versions of skype (3.8.115)

Hello, please let us log in to old versions of Skype. I've been using the 3.8.115 version for many years and it's always have been my favourite Skype version. I loved the chat interface, it was clear, in good soft colors and the messages were aligned - one on another, in the same spot. Actual version of skype has much worse chat interface, with many weird colours, messages are thrown to both sides and the adressess nickname field colour is darker (which should be lighter). You don't have to support and upgrade the od version of skype (but, hey, why not?) but you could just let us use them, let us log onto them. If a Skype user wants to use the older version why don't you let him doing that?

It's not about the RAM, it's about the graphical userinterface which is just bloated. I am using a GPU from the stone-age.
However, as I said, all Microsoft Installer Setups were removed from the Skypeservers, so no links from this forum showed me a setup.
Nevertheless, I've managed to download some old setups via archive.org but I don't know how long they are in the cache of it, so I'm just posting some links here now and close this thread.

If you are a developer, or have a similar personality, there is an aftermarket EFI-64 "work-alike" program you can load into memory instead of 64-bit firmware. It is too complicated for regular folks.
You must already have upgraded your Memory and your graphics card to use this solution, and your Mac will not operate quite normally. Any problems with it are unsupported.

  • Old Versions of Skype (6.x)

Since Microsoft removed all older versions of Skype from their servers and my computer does not run the newest versions withot lag, I am searching an old full-offline Setup of Skype, preferably 6.17.
    inb4: Google it!
I googled and found some setups, however these were versions <6.14 and they can't connect to the skypeservers anymore. (Yes, even those from filehippo & oldapps.com)

  • How to uninstall old versions of CS3, CS4, CS5 of Bridge, Device Central, and Extension Manager

    I have the following files:
    Adobe Bridge CS3
    Adobe Bridge CS4
    Adobe Bridge CS5.1
    Adobe Device Central CS3
    Adobe Device Central CS4
    Adobe Device Central CS5
    Adobe Device Central CS5.5
    Adobe Extension Manager CS4
    Adobe Extension Manager CS5
    Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5
I want to delete the old versions of these files, but Adobe says I need to use the installers in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers, but there are no relevant files in that folder. Any ideas on how to do this properly on a Mac.

That is correct Dancingjewel.  Migrating/transferring/copying Adobe applications is not supported and often leads to unexpected behavior.  To resolve this you will want to attempt to completely remove the current installations utilizing the CC Cleaner Tool and then reinstall.  If you need a fresh copy of the installation files they are available at Other downloads.

  • How to delete old version of bonjour

how do you delete an old version of bonjour. I cant install new version of itunes until I delete it

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • How to uninstall old versions of Flash player?

I have the latest version of the Flash Player (9.0.28.0)
    installed.
However when I run Secunia's software inspector (
    http://secunia.com/software_inspector/?task=load)
it finds an old version of the Flash 7.0.19.0 and flags it as
    'Insecure'.
    This is in two places:
    C:/WINDOWS/system32/Macromed/Flash/Flash.ocx
    and
    C:/I386/Flash.ocx
How can I uninstall the old version - I do not see Flash
Player in Add/Remove of Windows (Win XP SP2)?
    thanks

It's quite handy, actually, and I suspect relatively new. It
checks your machine for outdated/unsafe applications:
    http://secunia.com/software_inspector
And of course it's totally free.
How can I verify what version(s) of Flash that I might have
loaded? There's no Program Files entry or anything in Add/Remove,
etc. OTOH, the Secunia site shows where at least part of the
product(s) are loaded, yet it's not totally clear to me if those
locations are in use by the current version.

  • Printing timeline and How to purchase old version of Premiere

I print pdf timelines from animatics in an old copy of premiere and annotate  as a timing guide for animation production. The 'print timeline' command has been dropped in new versions of the software so I've kept an old machine dedicated for this one task running premiere 5.5 (the last version of software that printed pdf timelines dependably). I will soon be starting at a new company and will need this feature...how do I buy a copy of the old version (5.5) of the software....?
(It's a shame adobe drppoed this feature as it drove lots of animation people away from using premiere)
    Thanks,

Maybe the reason it's such a popular topic is that a lot of people running W2K (as I happily did for almost 10 years) are being forced into an XP or VISTA upgrade just to get the software tools they need to stay current?  I resisted as long as I could, but had to break down and setup an XP system last year.
In fact ... I came close to "downgrading" my new laptop from XP to W2K.
I now have two machines in my home office:  the new XP machine and my old W2K machine, which I need to keep running to avoid more software upgrades.  Case in point, I'm still running FrameMaker 5.5 which works fine for the tech writing side of my business, and I don't need any more "features" to do what I want to do.  But it won't run on XP.  I've been using FrameMaker since the early days, when it was owned by Frame Technologies, and wasn't happy about Adobe buying them out.  If you browse the FrameMaker forum you'll understand why.
I was just last night ranting to the wife about this.  What if your automotive tools required an upgrade every 4-5 years?  Your carpentry tools?  Your cooking tools?  The analogy may not be perfect, but upgrades is the one thing I don't like about our tools.  Everything else about this business is a lot of fun, a creative outlet, cathartic for me.
Sorry to wax so philosophical, but this has been bugging me a lot lately.  See my thread on render crashes for another example:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/468420?tstart=0
I still think I may haved screwed up the settings on that new Edius capture card.

  • How to suppress old version WF for Old notifications

    Hi all,
We r using the customised WF for notification QM01.We had created the deadline monitor and send mail to corresponding user by checking the deadline, this is the outstanding message to the user.It was working fine. Now we did the changes in the logic for deadline monitoring by adding the notification status in the logic, if it is deleted don't consider to check for deadline and not required to send the outstanding mail. Now the prob is for one notification WF has already triggered with old version in which we didn't considerd the status. And the deadline monitoring messages were kept in loop up 49 times. After dat we did the changes in deadline monitoring by adding the status. Now the notification got deleted but then also the system considering the old version(deadline monitoring with out considering the status) and sending the outstanding messages. How can i manage to deactivate the old version of WF for the old notification it self.
    Thanks

    HI,
If the workflow instance is no longer required, you can logically delete the workflow through SWIA else you can manually complete the workitem so that deadline is no longer valid.

  • Can't delete old version of Skype

I have 2 versions of skype on my iMac and can't delete the first. I had version Skype 2.8.0.722 then I subsequently upgraded to version 5.0.0.7994. However, the later version did not seem to overwrite the first and the old version always stills opens up when I turn on the computer. I then have to eject the old version and open the the later version. When i try to drag the old version to trash, a dialogue box opens saying "The item “Skype” can’t be moved to the Trash because it can’t be deleted."
    Can anyone help?
    thanks
    Ri

You say you are trying to eject Skype which doesn't sound right and sounds like you may be running it from the desktop.
Did you definitely install correctly - downloaded the app, expanded the downloaded file and then dragged the app onto your Applications folder? If Skype 2.8 is located there it would definitely be overwritten by the new version, prompting you with a warning that you're about to overwrite an older version.
Have a look in your Application folder and check that Skype is there, highlight it and do Command+I and that will confirm which version number it is. If you also have the Skype app on your desktop do the same to confirm that is the later version and drag it on top of the Applications folder. If it's not on your desktop it must be lurking in another location on your computer so in Finder do Command+F and search Skype - it should show you where they're all hiding.
HOWEVER, before you commit to Skype 5 have you read the negative press and had a look at the Skype forums which are full of vitriol about this hideous new un-Maclike incarnation of what is a great app?
Edited to add: If you're still having trouble deleting one of the versions you could try an app like TrashMe ( http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/33863/trashme ) but it'll probably delete all your Skype files and you'll need to start again (that's what it did to me but once I re-logged into my Skype account all my contacts re-appeared).

  • Downloaded new version, replaced old version, now says no space available and won't launch. I need to know how to get old version back

Usually if I try to download something that is too big a message comes up saying that there's not enough space. This didn't happen when I tried to download the latest version of Foxfire. It asked if I wanted to replace the old version and I did. When it was done, it said 0 bytes available. The icon came up with a circle with a line through it. I get a message that says it cannot be launched. If I go into my finder and click on it it says it is not supported. I need to know if I can get the old version back because I've lost all my bookmarks etc. Unless there is something else I cn do to get it working.

If you tried to install Firefox 4, it will not run on OS X 10.4 or PPC Macs.
There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com
