  • How to config  Sun Java System Application Server 9

    Hi
    I developed a small web application using Netbeans Visual Web and Sun java application
    Server 9. and it working fine. Now how can I access the application from another machine
    (Clint) through net work
    Can anyone please help?

    Huh? You'd have to go to some trouble to make it [bold]not[bold] accessible from another machine on the network! Just point your web browser at the machine, as you must have done during development and testing. If you pointed your browser at localhost before, replace localhost with either the host name or IP address of your web server

  • How to install java stack pathes

    hi friends
         i have installed EP and DI in a box and  sp level is sp09. now i want to apply upto sp13. i got sp 11 java stack with  the softwaer  its in dvd and its having lable.asc file . i would like to know how apply it .
    my question is
    1 . how to install the java stack sp 11 dvd which contains (lable .asc).
    2 . do i need to  fallow the sequence to apply the stacks. like (sp 10,11.12,13) only java stack
    3. what is the processor to apply stacks .
    4 . can i  install the stacks when the system is down.
    its urgent
    regards
    raja

    Hi,
      You can apply stacks when server is running. Make sure server is up and running. You can then start installing the stack 13 directly. (No need for 10, 11,12 etc).

  • How to restore Java stack

    Hello.
    How can i restore Java stack from 11 levele to level 4 ?
    regards,
    Denis

    Hi,
    As for as I know, you cannot downgrade from higher SP to lower SP through any means like JSPM or SDM or any tool.
    It you want to move back to SP4 ,then only solution I know is to install a new server with SP4 afresh.
    Hope that helps

  • Kernell parameters of Java stack

    Hi,
    I´ve installed an abap and java stacks. In the post-installation guide, explains that we should change some kernell parameters (146289 and 835474), but this steps I´ve done in the abap stack but in the java stack i don´t know how to check the parameters.
    How can i do this?
    Or in the kernell config of java stack is the step JVM Settings?
    More thanks

    Hi,
    With the Java system you don't have to worry about kernel parameters, the jvm parameters are important though and note 723909 is valid for your system as mentioned earlier. These parameters get set at installation, its worth just double checking them via the configtool (particulary the memory parameters). Note 723909 covers sun/oracle and HP-UX jvms, if you use an IBM jdk note 1024539 has the recommended parameters.
    Kind regards,
    Cathal

    Now we are on BW3.0
    got a plan to upgrade to BI 7.0 , is JAVA system required for that or BI 7.0 only runs on ABAP stack?please let me know how to implemnt the JAVA stack for the existing system.Thanks in advanse.

  • I was asked If our BW3.5 system contains java stack

    Hello
    I was asked If our BW3.5 system contains java stack. I do not know if  BW3.5 can contain java stack at all.
    Anyway if it can how can I see java stack is installed
    Thank you in advance

    Dear Jan,
    There are number of ways you can identify Java stack,
    Go to SM51 and Check in Message Types, If it is showing J2EE, then it means java stack exits.
    Go to /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/ and check if j2ee folder exits then it contains java stacks.
    Go to profile directory and check if SCS profile exits, if it exits then it contains java stack.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Call Java Class and Methods from ABAP

    Hi
    I install de JCo, But how i can call java class and methods from ABAP?. somebody has an example?
    The tutorial say that's is possible,  but don't explain how do that?
    Thanks.
    Angel G. Hurtado

    If you need only simple java program, you do not need to install JCo. The following codes can call java class.
    DATA: COMMAND TYPE STRING VALUE 'C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08\bin\java',
          DIR TYPE STRING VALUE D:\eclipse\workspace',
          PARAMETER TYPE STRING VALUE 'Helloworld'. "here the name of your java program
    CALL METHOD CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>EXECUTE
       EXPORTING
         APPLICATION = COMMAND
         PARAMETER = PARAMETER
         DEFAULT_DIRECTORY = DIR
       MAXIMIZED =
         MINIMIZED = 'X'     "If you need the DOS window to be minimized
      EXCEPTIONS
        CNTL_ERROR = 1
        ERROR_NO_GUI = 2
        BAD_PARAMETER = 3
        FILE_NOT_FOUND = 4
        PATH_NOT_FOUND = 5
        FILE_EXTENSION_UNKNOWN = 6
        ERROR_EXECUTE_FAILED = 7
        OTHERS = 8.
    Tell me if it works.

  • How can I include a portal component look and feel in a java servlet

    Does any body know how can i include a portal component look and feel (tables, buttons, etc) in a java servlet?

    Hi José,
    I don't think that is possible. But you can import the css files that ep uses for its look and feel and try to give your web pages similar look and feel. The tables and other controls used in EP are totally different and are done through complex JavaScript coding instead of simple HTML tags. If you want exact lok and feel then i thin you must go for a Webdynpro based application rather then a J2EE application with JSPs.

    Guru.
