How to config the correct .config to support lvm?
I have some problem which feaze me for two weeks.
I just want to compile a kernel manully. so I down the lastely kernel source from kernel.org.
and build it.
but,with my kernel,the machine doesn't work.
it says:
unable to determine major/minor number of root device '/dev/mapper/volgroup00-root'
in my .config ,I have added lvm support.
but ,when i use the /proc/config.gz. everything goes right.

If you look under supported Thinkpad systems you will find T500 so this is the correct one to use for the T500.

You could also use system update to update the drivers that will save you some time compared to downloading and installing manually. Using system update it's easier to stay up-to-date with new drivers as well. System update will also list the drivers for your Thinkpad model only.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Insufficient rights - How to determine the correct rights?
All,
Does anyone know how to determine the correct rights if you get the error message "Insufficient rights for operation"?
In SAP backend systems you can start transaction SU53 to check your "missing" authorizations, but is something like that also possible in MDM?
I also don't see any detailed information in the logs or reports.
If anyone has an good suggestion, please let me know, since I don't want to do "trail and error" to know what Functions to set to Execute and what Tables/Fields to set to Read/Write (because there are quite some combinations to check).
p.s. I've read the complete reference guide of the MDM console and sometimes it's really obvious what Functions and Tables/Fields you have to set, but for instance when I want to give authorization to maintain Relationships in the DataManager and have set the Main table and all Relationships to Read/Write and have set all Records and DataManager functions to Execute it still doesn't allow me to maintain the relationships on the records! I only get the message "insufficient rights" and it's unclear what rights are missing!

I doubt if we have anything in MDM to show you what authorizations are missing.However,you can check the following :
1. What activity are you trying to perform when you get this error.
2. Check if authorization are given in the role for that actitvity.
3. Check how many roles are allocated to user and Is authorization given in all roles if more than 1 role is assigned to that user?

I would like to find out how to copy/save/read image files from certain website in Java, particularly to locate the right one from various relative URL links on the same website. Below is an example to look at:
On the main web page
By selecting (http://www.abc.com/Public/Details.aspx?adid=2007103609) on a tiny camera icon that consist of source code (<td class="even"><a target="_blank" href="http://www.abc.com/Public/Details.aspx?adid=2007135110"><img src="/images/camera.gif" width="19" ...></a></td>) directed me to another page with the actual photo.

SCB68 how to calculate the correct resistor

sorry I am a new NI user.
I didn't understand how to calculate the correct resistor to apply in scb68 in order to obtain a differential signal.
My application requires an acquisition of a differential voltage channel of 0-5V.
Can I use the ach+ and ach- channels without change anything on scb68?
if no, how can I find correct settings?
I read on scb68 manual page 5-2 "Conditioning Analog Input Channels" but I didn't understand wot to do.

Last question first; the cable impedance is at higher frequencies. So with you (almost) DC application don't worry about this cable impedance.
I would choose resistors of 100k as the lowest value as bias resistors.
You mentioned the power consumption of your sensor (transmitter ?) Does this mean that the sensor is powered through the same lines ?
I don't know how you want to 'cascade' your sensors depends on your sensors. Normally you measure each sensor with a different input.
Can you post (or link to) the datasheet of the sensor ?

In the ROOSOURCE table you can find the extract structures, go through all the fields of the extractor and if you find all of your equired fields exist ok else try to enhance for teh needed fields and go with user exit to populate the data for that fields' -

Call RFC for Lookup from BPM. how to determin the correct target system

I have a scenario where i am sending a sync call to SAP R/3 to fetch some sata using the BPM.
The issue is I can have multiple SAP systems so to determin the SAP system for the correct lookup is necessary.
in the rec determination step of Config I can configure multiple receivers but this isthrowing an error saying the multiple receivers cannot be determined for sync step.
Any idea why is such an error occuring

Multiple Receivers cannot be configured for a Synchronous Interfaces. reason is that when you are sending the request message to the target systems, XI will recieve multiple responses for one request and this is aginst the concept of Synch Message Processing.
You will have to have an option of determining the receivers inside your BPM and using separate Send Steps for each of these.

How to obtain the correct inventory value of an open order within a Period?
Dear Experts,
Raw materials R72 and R82 are required to produce Semifinished Product S10.
Semifinished product S10 is required to produce Fnished product F20
On 10th August 2011, I created and released a Process Order for material S10 copying component raw materials R72 and R82..
On 10th August 2011, Goods issue for component materials R72 and R82 were done for this process order using tcode MIGO (mvt type 261).
It usually takes four to five days to properly blend components R72 and R82 to obtain S10.
It means Goods Receipt for this process order will likely be done on 14th or 15th August 2011 when this blending has been completed.
On 12th August 2011, Management suddenly issues a directive that stock take should be carried out in the plant, and my process order is still open and cannot be closed ( or goods receipt cannot be done) because blending is yet to be completed.
Please how do I take care of this scenario/situation (since Goods Issue has been done already but Goods Receipt is yet to be done) so that I will get the correct value of my inventory?
How will the Accountants see or get the correct value of inventory without writing off the value of the Raw Materials that has been issued against this process order already?Hi ,

How I find the correct iTunes account?
I just reloaded my pc laptop and when I tried to sync my iPad a message said I was on a different account and if I continued to sync my iPad was going to be erased. How can I find the correct iTunes account?
By "reloaded my pc laptop" I take it you mean you wiped the PC and restored it back to factory settings? If so did you backup all your documents and data first? Normally your user profile contains a Music folder which in turn holds the iTunes folder. All the important details of your library are in there, with the media below in a folder called iTunes Media. If you lose this information and then connect your device to an empty iTunes library it will want to clean it out and start over.
You should be able to recover the media with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into an authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup. That might switch the assocation of the device to the new machine but I couldn't say for sure.

How to determine the correct moment when Word has finished to write to a docx file

we are currently passing a document to Microsoft Word for editing and want to take back the changed/saved document when editing is finished. But it seems we have issues to determine the correct moment when Word has for sure saved all changes and
it is save to take back the file.
To pass the document to Word we use ShellExecuteEx with the file name. Then we use the Running Objects Table and a File Moniker to wait for the file to be closed.

So we wait for the file to be removed from the Running Objects Table and additionally wait until we can get exclusive access to the file before we take over the changed file. But still it seems to happen that we take the file too early. Hence it
seems the file is removed from the Running Objects Table by Microsoft Word before saving the file has completed.
Is this behaviour of Microsoft Word by design? What is the best practice to identify the moment in time when writing the file has completed. Some other applications like Winzip seem to do the same thing.

How to fetch the correct netprice based on contract item conditions
Hi,
When you display a contract using ME33K and you click on a item and view its conditions(shift+F6), there might be 2 validity periods for a given item.
and each period will have different netprice in it.
Let me describe the same.
Suppose the PO creation date is 04.07.2007
The conditions for an item in a contract for the PO are as follows;
1. Validity from 04.07.2007 validity to 04.07.2007 Netprice = 100.00
2. Validity from 05.07.2007 validity to 31.12.9999 Netprice = 200.00
We need to always fetch the net price from the validity period which always matches with the PO creation date. here the value 100.00 should be the correct netpr as the PO creation date matches with the first validity period.
But the program is fetching the netprice 200.000 which belongs to the second validity period. That is because the select statement which fetches the data for contracts collects on the basis of EKKO-kdate and ekko-kdtab.The fields kdate and kdtab retrieves the validity period of the contract which is from 04.07.2007 to 31.072007. This data is then used to retrieve the netpr data from EKPO and it fetched 200.00 as it retrieves the net price of current data in contract validity and not with respect to PO creation date.
This data is then used to fetch the get the netpr data from EKPO.
what we need is the netprice for that validity period of item(Conditions) that matches with the PO creation date..
Now I have the internal table which is having data retrieved from Ekko and EKPO table.
Now how do I retrive the correct price by using the condition tables KONV and KONP.
Can you pls give the code snippet..

Please get the valid condition ( based on date ) from A016 (MK & LPA). With the appropriate KNUMH read the Condition header. You can access the different condition items viz., PB00, RA00 etc., for the values from table KONP. Further if you have Value scales / Quantity scales, you can read the data from KONM, KONW.
An additional tips: in KONP, if you have a condition like RA00 - Rebate, the value will be multiplied by 10 and saven in database to accomodate the discount to the third decimal.
I could not completely understand your requirements like nature of development ( Is it a Report / SAP Script ??) you are working etc., so that I could help you precisely.
