How to config tomcat or browser can open some file type in browser?

I use tomcat 4.0 (web server) for my project (JSP). I can upload file to folder of my web server. Some file type can read in browser e.g. .pdf .doc ,but some file type can't read in browser e.g. .ppt .xsl and etc. ? (http://localhost:8080//test.ppt --> it show some text, but can't read)
How to configuration tomcat or browser for every file type can read in browser? help me please...

In your tomcat confiruration files there must be some file for setting the mime types. You can add the required mime types to that file.
Or the mime type configuration can be a part of some configuration file, you can change it there. Please look in to the conf directory.

  • Office Web Apps only opens some file types

I have a Office Web Apps (WCA) 2013 UAT environment that is connected to my UAT SharePoint 2013 farm.  I can preview a lot of document types in Office Web Apps but other I get an error.  For example pptx gives me the error "Sorry, PowerPoint
Web App ran into a problem opening this presentation. To view this presentation please open it in Microsoft PowerPoint".
All the excel file types work as does *.doc files.  *.docx files fail.
I can't find any logging information in my ULS or event viewer logs.
Background: The OS on all servers is Windows 2008 R2, the OWA/WCA farm uses allowHttp as I will be behind a hardware load balancer.  The issue is not to do with SSL or SSLoffload as most file types open.
The SPWOPIBinds look correct to me: Fails for the docx binding below
    Application     : Word
    Extension       : DOCX
    ProgId          :
    Action          : attend
    IsDefaultAction : False
    ServerName      : OWA-UAT.DEMO.LOCAL
    WopiZone        : internal-http
     Works for this WOPIBinding
    Application     : Word
    Extension       : DOC
    ProgId          :
    Action          : interactivepreview
    IsDefaultAction : False
    ServerName      : OWA-UAT.DEMO.LOCAL
    WopiZone        : internal-http
    Any ideas?

By default, there are 8 bindings for DOCX.  Do you see any other bindings available?

  • Bridge 6 will not open common file types - e.g., jpeg, but CS6 has no problem with them

I had had CS5.1 and CS6 on this PC. I uninstalled CS5.1; now, I can open common file types (eg.g, *.jpf, *.bmp) directly from CS6. However, Bridge 6 triggers an error message to the effect that "Windows cannot find (....\CS5.1) - in other words, Windows still wants to associate file types in Bridge *^* to CS 5.1 - not to CS6. As a result, bridge is effectively dead in the water.

Yet another case of what happens when you uninstall an old version with a newer one present.
The old version takes a lot of registry items with it on the way out, leaving empty pointers to itself rather than the new version still present. It's as if the old version uninstaller can't imagine the possibility of anything newer, so it just says to the OS "Photoshop is no longer installed". It's not just file associations, Lightroom users have reported similar problems with "Edit in Photoshop".
Sometimes these pointers can be easily re-established, but more often a full uninstall/reinstall is needed, maybe with a run of the CC cleaner tool tossed in for good measure.
This happens all the time, posts like this trickle through the forum at a steady state. I can't imagine why this has never been acknowledged, and why Adobe officials keep saying that it's perfectly safe to uninstall previous versions. It's not. Yes, it could well be that the bug, or whatever you prefer to call it, is ultimately in the Windows registry. But this happens with such solid regularity that some official recognition would be in order.
The safe procedure is to always uninstall in strict reverse version order, then reinstall.

You can’t. You have upgrade or have whoever is send you files save as IDML. Don’t expect perfection.

I want to open a radio file that is .rm.  I get a message that says I need additional Quicktime software, but I cannot locate what I need to download on the QT website.  Anyone got ideas about how I can open this file?

    Hi bert,
the ".rm" extension is created by 'Real Media' application.
The easiest way to use it is to install the 'Real Media' player:
    1. RealPlayer BBC.app
    2. RealPlayer 12.app
I have both installed & use them sometimes.
(The 'BBC' wersion doesn't have any adverts with-in the app.)

  • HOW I CAN OPEN .VOB FILES

HOW I CAN OPEN .VOB FILES FROM QUICK TIME TO CONVERT FOR IPOD VIDEO?

.VOB files are MPEG-2 format. QuickTime can't play them without the help of the MPEG-2 Playback Component ($20) and can't export the audio when "converting".
MPEG Streamclip 1.5.1 (free) can convert the audio and video to .mp4 format for iPod playback. It even has an iPod preset that changes all of the file settings to iPod specs.

I can't open any 60p .mov files in quicktime or FCP5.  Sometimes in QT the audio plays but not the video. Footage was shot on a JVC GY HM150 which is supposed to record in native fcp format.  Any ideas how I can open these files successfully?

Get ClipWrap2 and convert to an editable format for your version of FCP5.
    Probably DVCProHD will work

Many thanks ... after many trials and effort, the sender admitted he doesn't know what he did - he's new to Apple - so guess he'll have to get some training!

No. The attached is the simplest way of modifying it to do as you want. I've
sped things up a little to make it obvious.
    > Will the array be able to keep all the data, is there a way i can do

You already are. You're making the arrays as you go along so only the memory
needed for the data that's in the plot is in use at any one time. To do it
    without storing
arrays at all you'd need to keep retrieving the data from
the XYgraph, adding the new datapoint and writing it back. Messy and I
    suspect incredibly inefficient.
You're going to use the memory in any case- a better option would be to
pre-initialise an array and fill it slowly. At the end of each 24 hour block
zap all the data and start again without destroying and recreating the
arrays. Or if you're only doing the 24 hour wipes to save memory, simply
start again at the start of the buffer woithout erasing the previous data
and you always have 24 hours of data to liik at once the system's running.
Do a search for keywords like "pre initialise" or "circular buffer" on
    ni.com

  • I had iwork 08 installed on my Mac. Now that I have upgraded, none of my documents or spreadsheets work with Maverick. How do I convert to iwork 09 so that I can open these files?

How do I convert my files to iWork 09 so that I can open my files in Maverick?

You  simply open the old files in the newer versions of iWork that work with Mavericks and the iApps should automatically convert the old file format to the new one.. but once that's done there's no going back to the old iApp version with your docs.

  • How do I upgrade elements 10 to open raw files from my Canon 70d?

How do I upgrade elements 10 to open raw files from my canon 70d?

Normally, if there are any updates for your version of PSE then they should be offered to you automatically.  However, you can also check if there are any new updates by going to:
    Help >> Updates
If your camera is relatively new then even by getting the updates you may not be able to edit raw files from the new camera because old versions of PSE are normally not updated as soon as the new version hits the market.  We are currently at version 13 so version 10 was stopped long time ago.  However, you can see a workaround at this link where I posted a video to get things moving:
<Why can't I open my RAW files from my Nikon D7000 ?? I can open RAW files from my old Nikon D70's but not my D7000...>
    Hope this helps.

  • How to open the file types of iOSApp(ipa),EPUBFile(.epub) in windows 7(32 bit)

How to open the file types of iOSAPP(ipa),EPUBfile(.epub) in windows 7(32 bit)

iOS apps can be added to an iTunes library and thereafter transferred to an iOS device. They cannot be opened directly on a PC.
epub files can be added to an iTunes library, and thereafter transferred to an iOS device where they can be read with the iBooks application. Files protected with Apple's DRM cannot be opened directly on a PC, though there are programs such as Kindle and Calibre that will open non-protected epub files.
