How to configure administrators to access wizards

I'm using OEM on 9i/NT. Trying to get the database wizards to work with no luck. Keeps saying that configuration is invalid and to set preferred credentials. I've set login to sysdba but when I run the wizard it comes up with insufficient privileges. The 'help' has been little help thus far.

Which model of AirPort base station do you have? Which version of OS X is your MacBook Pro running?
Wi-Fi access can be limited using the Timed Access feature of the AirPort routers. You would do so using the AirPort Utility.

  • Oracle10g How to configure HTTPS to access EM in Linux

I have installed Oracle10g on Linux Enterprise Server on XEON-based server.
I can run Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM) via
    http://127.0.0.1:5500/em
Since EM will be unsafe to run on the Internet without SSL, does any one knows how to configure and enable Oracle10g to enable SSL access? Which port does it use?

    1. Stop dbcosole
emctl stop dbconsole2. execute command (as following) and fill all questions
    emctl secure dbconsole3. Start dbconsole
emctl start dbconsoleNow connect to https://<ip address>:5500/em
Since EM will be unsafe to run on the Internet without SSLIt's generally bad idea to "share" administration site over internet (unless you don't have some VPN tunnel), because if you have weak passwords for DB users then you are asking for problems.

  • How to configure PerformancePoint to access SSAS hosted in different domain.

I have Sharepoint 2013 installed in a demo environment with a domain say ABC. I have username and password of an account say DEC\sqlread, having only read permission in SSAS (2008 R2) production environment, which is hosted on different domain. How do I
configure Performance point to use that read account (DEC\sqlread) of SSAS  whenever any user of ABC domain uses performance point reports.
I don't have much permission in SSAS production environment to configure things, but I have admin access to demo environment.

    Hi  Dev,
According to your description, you want to configure  PerformancePoint  to connect SSAS using a read account.
You can configure the Unattended Service Account for  the PerformancePoint Services:

  • How to configure CA for access to a Web Service from an app deployed in WL

    Hi everyone.
I have an app deployed in a WLS (10.3). This app acts like a web service client and works correctly (spring + cxf). The web service is provided by an external company and now they want to switch to https. They are using a self signed certificate. My company's support staff told me that they already configured the domain's trusted key store but the app fails to invoke the WS with the following error:

I'm the app's developer and I don't have experience in this subjects. Is the wl misconfigured? Should I do something from the app to reference the keystore?
    Thanks un advance.
    Sorry for my english.

Hi user10939158, thank you for your response. Maybe I was not precise in my previous post. I know how certificates work and that I should not be using self signed ones. Due to a reason (non technical) we MUST use a self signed certificates. Considering this as a prerequisite let me clarify my situation:
    - We added the certificate to the custom trust store connfigured in WL
    - We configure the managed server to be more "verbose" about SSL stuff
    - When the managed server start it outputs the following lines in the log:
    <Dec 13, 2010 5:31:21 PM ARST> <Notice> <Security> <BEA-090169> <Loading trusted certificates from the JKS keystore file /wldomains/desa_domain/TrustCTWebservices.jks.>
    <Dec 13, 2010 5:31:21 PM ARST> <Debug> <SecuritySSL> <BEA-000000> <SSLContextManager: loaded 1 trusted CAs from /wldomains/desa_domain/TrustCTWebservices.jks>
    <Dec 13, 2010 5:31:21 PM ARST> <Debug> <SecuritySSL> <BEA-000000> <Subject: CN=jserver, OU=SWG, O=IBM, C=US; Issuer: CN=jserver, OU=SWG, O=IBM, C=US>
    - In this lines we can see the certificate that interests us (jserver)
    - When the app do a WS reqeust we see in the log:
    <Dec 13, 2010 5:32:43 PM ARST> <Notice> <Stdout> <BEA-000000> <trustStore is: /opt/bea/jrockit_160_05/jre/lib/security/cacerts> (THE VM's DEFAULT KEYSTORE!!!!!!)
    - If we add the cert to /opt/bea/jrockit_160_05/jre/lib/security/cacerts everything works ok but I have doubts that this is right.
Why the default keystore is used?
    Thank you very much
    Regards

  • How to configure Redundant Internet Access on WIndows Server 2008 R2

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine running in my basement.  I have an application installed on it that calls a web service out on the open internet on a periodic timer.  Everything works great until my ISP goes done.
For redundancy I got a second connection into my basement from a different ISP.  I want to now configure my service to use the first ISP until it goes down and then automatically switch to the second ISP.
I have installed a second NIC card into the server.  However, I need some help in configuring the redundant set up I am after.
For example it isn't clear to me  if these separate NICs should be configured on the same subnet?
The other complication is that this server is infact the DC for my domain.  Not sure if that complicates things or not.
I do RDP into the server remotely currently, so there is another potential complication (would need to enable that through both ISP router/nic.  However, please note that other than the inbound RDP traffic, I am only interested in having the "outbound"
web service traffic redundant at this time  - that is I am only using the machine as a client in this scenario).
I have read up on Multi-homing and just feel this is overkill for what I am trying to accomplish.  All I want is for the internet to still be reachable from the machine via automatic switch over if my primary ISP goes down.
Thanks in advance for any and all help in configuring this correctly.
    Rod

    Hi Rob,
    Thanks for posting here .
TMG could help to implement internet redundancy feature with using maximum two ISP connections:
Planning for Internet service provider high availability
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd897038.aspx
We can get more detail introductions form TMG/ISA forum If are interesting in this feature.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Forefrontedgegeneral/threads
Deploying other dedicate third party devices that support this feature is also a good choice .

    Dear All
I have a 2504 Wireless Controller with multiple radios attached. I currently have a "private" WLAN configured (taking ip from windows server based DHCP of Range 192.1681.0/24 ) and working, but I need to add a Guest/Public WLAN which should take the IP from Other DHCP Configured on Fortigate UTM of range 172.16.0.0/24.
We have one SG300 switch in the office and the rest are basic switches.
    Our firewall/router is a Fortigate UTM 240D
Find the attached network diagram for the issue.

  • HOW TO CONFIGURE MANAGER or APPROVER USER IN ACCESS REQUEST MANAGEMENT TO APPROVE OR REJECT REQUEST

    hi sap gurus,
i configured grc 10 system successfully. I created one user: GR_AR_APP001 and assign following roles:
    SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_APPROVER
    SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST_ADMIN
    SAP_GRC_FN_BASE
    SAP_GRC_FN_NUSINESS_USER
and I maintained GR_AR_APP001 in access control owners as "POINT OF CONTACT", "SECURITY LEAD" and "WORKFLOW ADMINISTRATOR"
but when i am creating access request for new user and defining MANAGER under user details tab as GR_AR_APP001.
the user GR_AR_APP001 is not receiving any request for APPROVE or REJECT in his WORK INBOX.
can u please guide me how to configure APPROVER or MANAGER to approve or reject request.
I will be very much thankful if you guide me successfully.

    Hi Colleen,
thanks a lot for your time.
    PIC1: I created one user: GR_AR_APP001
and assigned all the GRC ROLES.
PIC2: I assigned owner type to GR_AR_APP001 user : POINT OF CONTACT, SECURITY LEAD and WORKFLOW ADMINISTRATOR in NWBC ACCESS CONTROL OWNERS
PIC3: I created one EUP 980 (copied from default EUP)
PIC4: I maintained default manager as GR_AR_APP001 user in 980 EUP
    PIC5: I selected SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST process id
PIC6: I created one agent id as ZGRAC_MANAGER11 in which I added approver user id: GR_AR_APP001
    PIC7: I saved agent id
PIC8: I added agent id as ZGRAC_MANAGER11 in stage5 in manager stage.
    PIC9: I saved
PIC10: I maintained EUP 980 (in which I configured manager as GR_AR_APP001 user) in stage 5 task settings
PIC11: Maintain Route Mapping, I clicked on next
    PIC12 and PIC13: I saved and activated.
After this process I created one request for new account and selected the manager as GR_AR_APP001 and one request is created with request no 9000000030.
now I logged into system by user GR_AR_APP001 and checked, there is no request under his work inbox.
please guide me at least one procedure, how to receive request in approver work inbox so that I can learn other procedures to configure approver as per our organization requirement.
    thanks for your support Colleen.

  • How to configure oracle and ms-access db

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to push data from the oracle to ms access. My oracle database is on the Unix server and ms access is on my local desktop. Is there a way to configure if so how to configure both the db? Basically I am wanted to make the ms access visible to oracle so that I can use the Heterogeneous package. Please let me know if there are any different ways.
    my oracle version is
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit
    ms-access 2007
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You could use the Database Gateway for ODBC (DG4ODBC) to do this. It uses a third party ODBC driver to make the connection to MS-Access so the best option would be to install it on the Windows machine where Access is running and use the Microsoft Access driver.
Otherwise, you could install on Unix where Oracle is running but I don't think there is third party Access driver for Unix.
The following note available in My Oracle Support describes the setup on Windows -
Note.466225.1 How to Setup DG4ODBC (Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC) on Windows 32bit
You should install the latest 11.2 DG4ODBC and this note has pointers to the download sites -
Note.1083703.1 Master Note for Oracle Gateway Products
DG4ODBC can be installed standalone without an RDBMS being installed.

    Mike

Is not configured incorrectly?Who can help me, thank you very much!

Do you really have a requirement to push data from Oracle to Access rather than pulling data from Oracle to Access? It would be exceptionally unusual to push data from Oracle to Access.
Pushing from Oracle to Access would means that you want some Oracle process running that is updating Access. But you said that your Access database was on your "local desktop" which implies that it is not running on a server where it is always available. So that means that the Oracle process is going to regularly encounter (and report) errors because the Access database is not available. In turn, that's going to mean that your push process is either going to cause the underlying transaction to fail or it's going to mean that the push process is going to have to implement a fair amount of code to queue data to be pushed at a later date (and track all those changes) which is no small task. None of that seems particularly pleasant.
On the other hand, Access is designed to pull data from real relational databases like Oracle. That's the far more normal approach architecturally. It doesn't require an Oracle process, it doesn't generate errors on the Oracle database when the local desktop is down, etc.
And, of course, I'm assuming that introducing Access is even architecturally reasonable. Most organizations would be extremely hesitant to allow data from an Oracle database to get moved into Access because that quickly means that they lose control of the data from a security standpoint, that there are now multiple copies of the data floating around when changes & corrections are made, etc. That causes all sorts of headaches normally above and beyond the headaches that pushing from Oracle to Access would create.

  • How to configure MS-Access 2010 DB details on weblogc using DBAdapter

    Hi Experts,
Can any one help me how to configure MS-Access 2010 DB details on weblogic 11g using DBAdapters.
If you provide step by step instuction, it is very usful to me.
If you have any screen shots you can any one please send a file to my mail ID:[email protected]
    My Requirement:
I need to fetch 3 columns data (product code/ serial numer and serial status) from MS-Access 2010 and store it on oracle 11g, for that I have wrote a web service code and I need to make it automation. I don't have any IDEA, how to make this web serevice as automation (automation means, when ever new record stored in MS-Access data I need to fetch newly created record from MS-Access 2010 and send it to Oracle 11g)
Note: MS- Access 2010 present at vision system and Oracle 11g installed in linux server.
    Thanks,
    Phani

    Hi,
I am also facing the same issue, not sure about what url to use. And also the login webservice doesn't work while I am testing using http://localhost:81/RTC/RTCService.asmx. It always throwing the following error
" Unable to cast COM object of type 'RTCLib.RTCClientClass' to interface type 'RTCLib.IRTCClient'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{07829E45-9A34-408E-A011-BDDF13487CD1}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE))."
Is the current owc_lcs.zip support MS Office Communication Server 2007?
Please share the configuration step if anyone already integrated OCS 2007.
    Thanks,
    -Mukesh.

  • How to Configure two standalone Server to access with eachother

    Hi All,
I have two stand alone Servers (SQL 2000) configured in two PCs in different locations (Location A & Location B) . I want to access Location A database from Location B Viz-Versa.
    1. I have a STATIC IP provided by ISP and I m using a router (Linksys E1000)
    2. I have Windows Server 2003 installed on one of the PC.
    3. Both the Locations are in two different places, ISP providers are also different.
How can I setup the access. I have googled a lot of solutions but not able to crack.
    Regards
    Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep Sriramdas,
SQL Server 2000 was out of support since April,2013. I suggest you can try to install SQL Server 2005 or later version. According to your description, you plan to connect to the SQL Server database engine from another computer, you must enable the protocol
    in SQL Server Configuration Manager, such as TCP/IP;
When you want to connect to one instance from another computer, you also must open a communication port in the firewall.
In SQL Server Configuration Manager, you need to configure SQL Server to listen on a specific port; In addition, you configure the remote access server configuration option in SQL Server by using SQL Server Management Studio or Transact-SQL.
You ‘d better adding two different computer in the same domain, and choose to connect to instance via domain name.
There are more details about configuring the connection from another computer, you can review the following article.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345343.aspx

  • How I can install and configure dg4odbc to access SQL Server database

I need to link Oracle database (installed in Solaris) to SQL Server database. How can I install and configure dg4odbc. Is there any step by step tutorial or guide available there. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You can download the DG4ODBC software from either MOS or eDelivery depending which versios you want to install
    For 11.2.0.4 -
Patch 13390677: 11.2.0.4.0 PATCH SET FOR ORACLE DATABASE SERVER
    - login to My Oracle Support
    - click on 'Patches and Updates'
    - search for patch number 13390677
    - you may need to press the '+' button to see the platform list
    - scroll down the list to and click on the 'Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)'  option.
    - on the next screen click on the 'Download' option
    - from the list of download files choose -
    p13390677_112040_platform_5of7.zip
    - this is the Gateway media pack and has everything needed for a standalone gateway install.
    - unzip the file and run the installer and choose the gateway you want.
    For 12.1 -
    https://edelivery.oracle.com
    Product Pack – Oracle Database
Platform – Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Database 12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1.0) Media Pack for Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
    - then for the gateways download –
Oracle Database Gateways 12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1.0) for Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
    - unzip and run the installer
Whichever version you decide I recommend you install into a completely separtae ORACLE_HOME from any existing installs as this makes maintenacne easier.
For the configuration have a look at this note if you have access to My oracle Support -
How to Configure DG4ODBC on 64bit Unix OS (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX Itanium) to Connect to Non-Oracle Databases Post Install (Doc ID 561033.1)
If not, then refer to the documentation available from -
    Oracle Database Help Center
    - choose either 12.1 or 11.2 then the 'Information Integration' option.
You can also install the DG4ODBC on the Windows machine (or any other machine if preferred) and access it from the RDBMS on Solaris.
    Regards,
    Mike
