Hi,
Can anyone please provide me an online guide that helps me with the steps involved in configuring a BAAN or PeopleSoft or any other application adapter?
Thanks,

  • How to configure ViaTalk (VoIP) Linksys Adapter for newbie...

    Greetings Peers,
I just got my *Time Capsule (TC)* yesterday and absolutely have very limited experience with Airport Utility or networking - that said I somehow figured out how to setup a new secured wireless network and it is up & running!
Here's my dilemma, +Belkin N router (predecessor)+ to which I had this *ViaTalk (VoIP) Linksys Adapter* connected directly through the 1st port with ethernet cable, use to work fine. So, I just simply tried to replicate same connectivity with this new TC router but doesn't work!
    _Comparable Past Tweaks_:
    1) Can not figure out where the language is DMZ for TC
    2) Can not judge if port forwarding is needed (if yes, is it even feasible?)
    _On the bright side_:
    1) ViaTalk tech support as advised to *turn off* Static IP configuration (from possible old settings)
    2) Also advised to enable DHCP which should give me dial tone and should go live!
    Wondering:
    1) If anyone has success setting up similar VoIP service thru TC?
    2) Is there a way to enable (turn ON) those 3 ports or are they always ON?
Will report my findings by tomorrow.
    Cheers!

i posted this in another post near yours:
i use callvantage VoIP from AT&T. you may need to map some ports.
i've found the best setup for me is to have the VoIP box behind my APE(n), in one of the ethernet ports. there's plenty of bandwidth so calls are not garbled nor get interrupted with other network traffic.
    wiring
Cable Modem to APE(n) via WAN
APE(n) to VoIP box via WAN
    *port mapping*
after finding the VoIP box's IP address i logged on to it and set a proper manual IP so i can reliably port map via the APE(n).
_Public / Private UDP / TCP Port (to the VoIP IP address)_
    2727, 2427, 2500, 30000-31000
You probably need to obtain a user manual for your VoIP device or contact the VoIP provider for specifics on your ports needed... if i'm on the right track with your needs.
    does this help?

  • How to configure the Http sender adapter

Now i have look through the sap lib about the http sender adapter
and i know the url is
    http://hostname:port/path?namespace=<...>
    &interface=<...>&service=<...>&cmd=T&loaderXML=< message object >&end=yes
    My questions are:
1)the path in the URL is "/sap/xi/adapter_plain", if not, what is it?
    2)the message payload is right?
    any reply is appreciated
    Thank you very much

    Hi Leo,
    For a HHTP Scenario:
    DESIGN:
    1. Create DataTypes for source and Destinations. Create elements for all the text fields of your HTTP Client so that they can all be mapped into the destination file
    2. Create MessageTypes for the two datatypes.
    3. Create Message Interfaces. The One for HTTP is the sender, Asynchronous ( as no response is expected) and one for File is receiver, asynchronous.
    4. Do the mapping. It will be mostly a one to one mapping of the fields.
    5. Create the Interface Mapping.
    Configuration:
    1. Import your Business System under your Configuration Scenario.
    2. Create 2 communication channels. One for Http as a sender and one for your receiver say IDoc.
Check these links for the configuration part.

    3. Do the Receiver Agreement for Idoc. HTTP doesn’t need a sender agreement.
    4. DO the Receiver Determination and Interface Determination.
Weblog which talk about the same scenario:-
/people/sriram.vasudevan3/blog/2005/01/11/demonstrating-use-of-synchronous-asynchronous-bridge-to-integrate-synchronous-and-asynchronous-systems-using-ccbpm-in-sap-xi - although this weblog is
aimed at explaining the sync-async bridge.. Sriram has taken http-to-file scenario as the example
    (use case) and explained it...
Check this SDN tv demo, it has detail of HTTP adapter setup.
    https://media.sdn.sap.com/SDNTV/main.asp?mediaId=107
Refer to this link for adapter settings.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
You should also have a HTTP client to send message to XI. In the connecting parameters to XI u have to use the URL in the pattern mentioned . U have to give all the configuration details in the URL.
If you give me your mail id or if you can mail me at [email protected], i can send you a HTTP CLIENT.....In which you need to view the source code and change the username and password to send message to XI.

  • Need how to configuration on Receiver File adapter

    Hi,
I am working on File to File scenario. I need to create a file in output directory with time stamp.
I am also need to create File output directory.
I used create target directory. But the file is not creating in the directory.
Please help me on this issue.
    Thanks,
    Swathi

    Hi Swathi,
    1. To have the file with the Timestamp, use the option "Add Timestamp" in File construction mode.
    2. Check the receiver communication channel and in MONI. If the file is not created and is successful in MONI, then the message might stuck in Queue. Check the queues.
Ensure the provide target directory path is correct.

  • How to Configure Reciver HTTP Adapter

    Hi,
i am doing Proxy-HTTP syncronous scenario.
Proxy will fetch XML file located in one server.
    (example: www.yahoo.com/exchange_rate.xml)
    i have following problems.
    1. How to configure the Reciver HTTP Adapter.
    2. What should I use in Address Type.
    HTTP Destination or URL Address.
    3. If I use HTTP Destination , The length of the field is very short to accomodate complete address.
    4. If I use URL address, what should I put in all the fields , like Target host, Service Number, path.
I have URL , something like this, www.yahoo.com/exchangerates.xml
I dont know what to put in Target Host, service name and path.
    Please help. thx. BD.

    Hello,
    if you use a HTTP-Destination it uses a rfc-destination.
So you configure first a rfc-destination (in sm59 of type G)
and name it for example RFC_EXAMPLE and then you
use this name for the HTTP-Destination in your adapter.
    if you use the url
    Target host:
    - you can use the ip
    Service Number:
    - that means the port you want/must use
    path:
    - in your case: /exchangerates.xml

  • How to configure network with just 1 ethernet adapter?

I was looking for a guide which would talk about how to configure your network in case if you have only 1 Ethernet adapter. Is it mandatory to have more than 1 network card to configure multiple ports? If not, what are the options available to deploy a Virtual Machine that can have applications which are available over the network. I don't have a separate network i.e. public network as well as management network is of same IP range.
I am having 2 node cluster using NFS for pools as well as repository.

I was looking for a guide which would talk about how to configure your network in case if you have only 1 Ethernet adapter. Just enable the "Virtual Machine" role on the Management network that is automatically connected. You will then be able to add guest vNICs to the same network.
I am having 2 node cluster using NFS for pools as well as repository. I strongly recommend you get at least one more physical NIC for your server, if not two: running NFS and the cluster heartbeat and the guest traffic all over the same network is going to put a lot of data down the wire and you may land up in a situation where the cluster traffic is overwhelmed and a node reboots. You need to be very careful in this situation. Network cards are cheap and you should have at least two or three, I reckon.

  • How to configure a full JMS Sender Adapter Scenario

    Hi guys,
I have to do a JMS -> PI (7.1) -> File scenario, I never used JMS Adapter, and I'd like to tell you what I have done, and what I think is missing.
First I went to the NetWeaver Administrator ->Configuration Management ->Infrastructure ->JMS Server Configuration-> Create ->JMS Queue.. and I created a new Queue from a Virtual Provider (SAP JMS Provider).
The first thing I didn't know how to configure it is which transport protocol I have to choose in the CC adapter (SonicMQ JMS Provider, WebSphere MQ, etc..)
But I also don't know is if there's something missing on the NWA, to create, modify, etc. I read this slide: (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a05b2347-01e7-2910-ceac-c45577e574e0) where was shown how to create a SAP standard queue, and I also read all the documentation from help.sap.com (all the JMS basics and explanation) but I still don't know how to fully configure the CC and how to trigger the messages.
Please, if you need further information I can give it.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to configure SFTP Adapter in XI?

    Hi All,
How to configure SFTP adapter in XI?, It would be great if anyone sends a step-by-step documentation on the same.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    About SFTP .
    1) SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
"SSH File Transfer Protocol" or SFTP is a network protocol that provides file transfer and manipulation functionality over any reliable data stream. It is typically used with the SSH-2 protocol to provide secure file transfer. SFTP encrypts the session, preventing the casual detection of username, password or anything that is being transmitted. One key benefit to SFTP is its ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe. By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    SFTP:
As per the latest SAP PI/XI support pack, it does not support SFTP via File Adapter.
So alternative approach to cater this requirement from XI is to make use of Unix Script at OS level to transfer the files from/to third-party systems.
    Inbound Interface - i.e. third-party system ->XI->SAP:
File is transferred to a folder in SAP XI landscape from the third-party legacy system using UNIX Script with secured protocol. Once the file is ready in the XI landscape, File Adapter will poll this directory and file is picked up by NFS protocol.
    Outbound Interface – i.e. SAP->XI->third-party system:
XI is responsible for writing a file into a folder in the XI landscape. These files are transferred to the third-party system by executing UNIX scripts with secured protocol i.e. via sFTP.
    Pre-Requisites:
Public key should be exchanged between external systems and the PI system.
UNIX shell script has to be developed and scheduled.
    Advantages:
    Highly Secured.
Ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe .By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    Disadvantages:
    Two-Step process i.e. XI>Temporary folder>External System and vice-versa
Files have to be temporarily stored in XI server.
Multiple failure points i.e. XI and Unix script execution
Maintenance of an external UNIX script.
Difficulty in monitoring the execution of the shell script as it cannot be monitored thru XI.
Need to generate keys and install it in the SFTP site as a pre-requisite i.e. SFTP clients must install keys on the server.
SFTP uses keys rather than certificates. This means that it can't take advantage of the "chains of trust" paradigm facilitated through Certificate Authorities.
Files from the XI server should be deleted/archived in a periodic manner to increase the disc space so that it will increase the performance.
Note: UNIX shell Script can be executed as a background job ‘or' can be triggered from SAP XI through OS command at File adapter level.
    Check the links.

  • How to configure File Adapter (Read)..?

    Hi all,
While configuring the Read Adapter in BPEL 11g i am getting not reading any data from given location. But my location are correct.. So please how to configure File Read adapter and give any URL for this ... Thank you

    Hi all,
The file adapter it consists many operations like
    1: Read
    2:Write
    3:Synchronous Read
    4:ListFiles
So you are asking about Read operation
First you take one File Adapter-->Select Read Operation--->Give Incomming file Location ( In local system you can give like C:/temp/NewDir Or Unix Envornment like you can give /temp/NewDir)
After that you can give file Name like wich format it's incomming file name like CSV.txt or CSV.xml after you give Polling Intervels second or Mintued or Hour. You can select Native format or Define service Later once configure all those things the file adapter configration is done . If you have any doubts in file configrigation please go for the below link...........

  • How to configure HTTPS in the receiver HTTP adapter ?

    Hi Guys,
How to configure HTTPS in the HTTP receiver adapter and where i need to mention the QOS=BE in the receiver adpter.
any suggestions or help would be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Srini

You would need make sure that SSL is enabled on the ABAP stack . I rememver seeing a blog on SDN that shows how this is to be done.
Once you have SSL enabled in the ABAP stack ( you would also need to install the cryptographic libraries as a part of this exercise) , you would be able to use HTTPS and also provide the necessary digital certificates etc.
I have tried this with SOAP adapters etc but havent with the HTTP adapter but I dont see why this should be any different.
