How to configure Business process to check attachment?

Hi All,
I had created a simple business process.
My requirement is that, application has to check attachment before send to review.
Means before submitting my workflow to review, application has to check whether user had attached report or not?
if report is not attached, application has to disply error message and prevent for submitting to review.
Is any out of box thing is avaliable for this requirement?

There isn't a way to determine if an attachment has been added on a form. What I have done in the past is to add a required checkbox on the form that the user has to check to confirm that they have added the attachment. It's more of a reminder than a way to ensure the attachment is attached.

In Batch management config in Logistic general, Check for the movement type 101 & 321 whether batch creation has been activated to Manual, Automatic, or no creation. In your case it looks like for mvt 321 batch creation is set to manual & for 101 no creation.
if batch creation is set to manual, enter a manual batch no & proceed.
But to cross verify wheter 101 has generated batch or not please check the stocks in MMBE.

In Batch management config in Logistic general, Check for the movement type 101 & 321 whether batch creation has been activated to Manual, Automatic, or no creation. In your case it looks like for mvt 321 batch creation is set to manual & for 101 no creation.

How to map business process and enterprise service?

Recently, I read some documents about ESA. I'm confusing about the relationship between business process and enterprise service. In other word, how to map the business process to enterprise service after the business process is analyzed? Is there any methodology/rule to define business process and wrap them into service in ESA?

I like to add some of my thoughts about that discussion. From my point of view ESA is much more than just another BPM or Enterprise BPM. ESA is adresses six key areas and I think all of them are really needed:
- People Productivity as the word itself describes...it's about portals and productivity.
- Embedded Analytics has to integrate transactional and analytical content.
- Service Composition is used for model-driven service composition and services orchestration.
- Service Enablement is about a Enterprise Services Repository filled with business meaningful Enterprise Services and service patterns for enabled objects. Excactly this is where SAP has years of experiences.
- Business Process Platform is about service enablement of all application platform objects and engines. This is the place where "BPM" for core business processes resits.
- Life-Cycle Management has to cover the deployment, configuration, operation and change management for ESA based processes.
Therefore the term "BPM" is located in serveral layers of an ESA approach. On the level of Business Process Platform BPM is providing the choreography for core business preocesses.
At Service Enablement BPM needs to compose out of granular services (I would say "atomic" services)
buiness meaningful services (here we have "molecular" services).
The third level where BPM could be used is Service Composition because exactly this is the place
where serveral Enterprise Services could be combined to a process representation.
To come back to the discussion:
1. The question should be how to indentify business meaningful services which could represent single process steps. ATP check, Credit card check, ... could be examples. In theory this service could be out-tasked, defined more flexible etc. This means that processes needs to be evaluated for Enterprise Service candidates. Afterwards you can check against SAP's Enterprise Services Repository for already existing Enterprise Services. The evalution for enterprise services candidates will be supported by the metodology mentioned by Kaj and David.
2. I think domains in this context should be motivated by business and/or functional areas. Depending on the granularity. For example Order Fulfilment Services, Master Data Services, Search Services... These kind of serices can be combined again to services such as "Search of Master Data" (Search Service + Read Master Data Service) etc. or can be used to generate UI to be used in a ESA application.

How to downloadin Business Process Repository in Solution Manager?

Hello,
Does anybody know how to download whole Business Process Repository from solution manager?
I know how to download BPR, that are related to project, to excel file, but I want to download all the scenarios,processes are inbuilt to the Solution Manager business blueprint.
Can anybody help me?

Hello Mahantesh,
I suppose that your idea behind this question is that you would like to browse the contents of the BPR. For this specific pupose, SAP will deliver a new web dynpro application with SAP Solution Manager 4.0 SP 12 and the respective stack coming out mid June 2007 which allows you to browse all BPR contents in your SAP Solution Manager system. So you no longer have to create a seperate project and select the contents via F4 value help in SOLAR01 in order to access the contents.

How to configure jobwork process in Co

Hi,
In our business process in one of operation we need to send the material to jobwork and client want to track that amount and want to include in cost rollup?
In out scenerio, first two operations will be held inside and third operation will be sent to vendor, after it returns to company 4th operation will be happend again in company.
Some times company will pay the amount based on fixed charges and some times based on activities performed.
And how to configure this scenario in costing.

I hear you describing a process that SAP calls External Processing.
We used it in one plant years ago. the operations list in the Routing included steps for work in internal workcenters and one step was done in a work center that represented an outside process.
The operation had control key PP02 Routing/Ref. op. set - external process
For that operation - the details have a section titled: External processing.
This included fields for :
Purchasing info rec.      Purch. organization    0610
Material group
Purchasing group
Vendor               120945
Plnd delivery time   10 Days
Price unit           1                 Cost Element         513051
Net price            0.48 ;
I don't remember all the details of setting it up, it did cost correctly though
Issue - the PO were not always correctly recieved, make final settlement of the production order an issue and we were not able to CLSD the order because of open PO on the Production order.
Issue - the material was not trackable (could be the way we did it, may be something to do about it) but when the External operation was reached, the Production stopped, the material went out and waited for the return. The material at the vendor was part of WIP not a stock item in a separate location.
Because of these two issues, we discontinued the practice and changed to standard subcontract (Spec Prc KEy 30) with a separate material number for the material that went to the vendor and a different number for the material on the purchase order that was returned.

BPC 5.1 system has Business Process Flow, to design synchronized activity plans for a set of user.
Like we designed user planning in two step BPF -Step1 and Step2, where Step2 was activated only after user completed Step1.
How to design such requirements in BPC NW 7.0 version?

Hi,
You can deactivate the business process itself if you do not want at all. So that the header will not available for the entity.
