How to configure ex90 for use with polycom resource manager GAB

My customer has a Polycom infrastructure, including using Resource Manager for the GAB server. I also have several Cisco endpoints deployed (EX90 and C40) and I need to get these units configured to use the GAB. Polycom documentation sucks and only says:
1. At the endpoint, enter the information required for directory set up including the Polycom Global Address Book/RealPresence Resource Manager system IP address and the path.
For example, http://<RPRM_IP_ADDRESS>/TMS/Public/external/phonebook/PhoneBookService.asmx.
To do this on Cisco endpoints, go to System Configuration> Phone Book Server.
2. Wait for the connections to take effect
When I go to the EX90 phone book server setup page, I only have ID, Type and URL fields. The type field has a drop down that only has Cisco options available (VCS, TMS, Callway and CUCM)
No matter what combination I use, I haven't been able to get the EX90 to pickup the Polycom directory.
Any suggestions? Thanks

What happens when you try that URL (http://<RPRM_IP_ADDRESS>/TMS/Public/external/phonebook/PhoneBookService.asmx) from a Web Browser - do you see anything, or get an error?
You'll need to make sure that's accessible first before trying to configure your endpoints to use it.

How do i configure outlook for use with icloud and my iphone?

You can't write to it because it's formatted as NTFS which OS X will read but not write to. If you want to continue using the drive with both a PC and OS X you will need to download and install NTFS-3G so you can then write to it from your Mac. You can get NTFS-3G at:

If you want to use the drive exclusively with your Mac then move the data off it and reformat it in Disk Utility (Applications - Utilities - Disk Utilities) as Mac OS Extended (Journaled.)

How to configure SolMan for interfacing with SAP Quality Center

Hello everyone,
Our company has only recently acquired and activated the permanent license for SAP Quality Center by HP. We would like QC to interface with SAP Solution Manager. My question is how to perform the configuration steps to make the interface work with Quality Center? I need to set up the IMG addon SM_QC_AD, which can be found under the transaction SPRO, but I need documentation on which steps to take and why.
I am often referred to SAP note 1059350 and/or the configuration guide, but these only say that I should configure the IMG but not how.
There is a SAP tutor available on the service marketplace, but I think it's rather uninformative.
Can I find better documentation elsewhere?

How to configure iTunes for travel with an iPhone?

While I keep iTunes and iPhone on my primary iMac, I'm going to be doing some travel and will need to make adjustments for keeping my iPhone backed up on a new MacBook Pro I'll be taking with me. I do not want to add any songs from my current iTunes library or pictures from iPhoto to the MacBook Pro as these are both already on my iPhone.
However, I need to know how to configure iTunes on the MacBook Pro with just a bare installation so I can keep my iPhone apps in it and make a backup every night, but not lose the pictures and music currently on the iPhone. IOW, I want the iPhone to remain unchanged (keeping the pictures and songs), but simply backup only the apps each night when I plug it in. I'll unplug it after the backup and use a regular charger and switch users on the MBP so my wife can do the same with her iPhone.
The only reason for doing this is insurance while traveling that if we need to restore our apps for any reason on either phone, we'll have the backup on the MBP. I'm concerned that if I uncheck photos and music on the MBP iTunes sync area, I'll lose them both on the iPhone until I return home and sync again with the primary iMac. Thanks for any tips.

To really mess with someone's head... I took a buddy of mine to the event horizon of a supermassive black hole where the gravity waves were so great the accelerometer was completely overhwelmed and unresponsive. The screen simply would not change from vertical to horizontal no matter how long you waited. Well! You should have seen my buddy's face. He had bought the iPhone the day before and was just about ready to return it even if it meant swallowing the restocking fee!!! It was hilarious.

How to configure WSDP for use in IDE like Netbeans

I have two questions about WSDP integration in IDE like Netbeans:
1)
I have a problem compiling the WSDP tutorial examples inside Netbeans.
I believe the problem is that Netbeans doesn't know about the ${jwsdp.home} attribute in the build files.
It's the same when trying to compile it with the Jakarta ANT release and not the one coming with WSDP.
I'd prefer to add some kind of property to Netbean's ANT executor, but how?
Second option would be to use the WSDP ANT in Netbeans instead, but I don't know how to, either.
I can't believe that Sun only made it working with the included ANT but I can't find the {jwsdp.home} declaration anywhere although I think it's part of the classpath argument of the WSDP ant script.
2)
Is it possible to integrate the WSDP Tomcat into Netbeans? I tried "Server Registry->Installed Servers->Tomcat 4.0->Add Server" but had problems starting it. Maybe because the version is different?
Anyway, the included one might do.
But how to install a different Server type? I'm thinking about Sun ONE App Server 7 in order to configure it for J2EE Applications.
I think it will utilize the "New Module" wizard. Can someone please describe in short how to? Or even point me to a document?

Ok, I solved it.
Problem was about custom task definitions in ANT.
As I understand it, it's necessary to provide a <classpath> for each unknown custom taskdef class in order to refer the class. This was not correct in the WSDP tutorial build.xml files.
The ANT documentation provides at "IDE integration" helpful links to that issue.
BTW, my second question about integrating App Servers into Netbeans is still open.
I think it utilizes the Netbeans Server Plugin API but how do I recognize a valid module file?

How to configure TMS for ChaRM with Customizing routes?

Hi Experts,
We have succesfully configured three system landscape TMS for ChaRM for several pipelines already. Now we are facing a situation where TMS is as follows:
DEV to QAS contains routes:
Customizing: ZEBP => 100
Transport: ZDEV => 100
Customizing: ZSUS => 200
Transport: SAP => 100
The question with these is how to add ZEBP and ZSUS to ChaRM configuration?
QAS to PRD:
Delivery: 200 => 200
Delivery: 100 => 100
Here the question is how to enable transports between 200s alongside 100?
When looking at SMSY in SolMan, SUS is a logical system only.
Has anyone of you come across a situation like this? I'm glad for any hints you may give me!
Our SolMan is 4.0 SP13.

in my opinion you can configure it the following way:
Customizing: ZEBP => 100
Transport: ZEBP => 100 (not ZDEV)
Customizing: ZSUS => 200
Transport: SAP => 100
Then assign ZEBP as default transport layer for client 100 and ZSUS for client 200.
It is not possible to configure ZEBP and ZDEV for client 100 if you want to use charm

Configuring DBI for use with Oracle 8i

We have problem while openning the connection to Oracle 8i using DBI. The error we keep getting when we run a test script is:
DBD::Oracle object version 1.03 does not match bootstrap parameter 0.47 at directory path/DynaLoader.pm line 188.
The same script is working fine on another computer where we have Oracle 8.05 installed.
Probably the DBD is not installed or configured properly. Is there anything we can do to fix this problem?

Based on your description, clearly the SPA941 is not registered to a VoIP provider or a SIP server PBX. I am not familiar with the BT bussinness hub if this serves as the PBX of the VoIP network but youb are correct in saying that you need to configure the URL set up of the unit. You need to access the URL via its IP address. To know the IP address of the unit, follow this link:

You need to also place in this field the “User ID” (usually you phone number from the VoIP provider), the password and the codec being used but youu VoIP provider. Save the settings and check in the “Info” tab if the extension is “registered”.
If you still have the same problem, I suggest contacting Cisco Tech support to further look into your concern. I believe this unit belongs to the business series devices that Cisco is now supporting. Configuring X for use with Television on Nvidia

I on a nVidia GeForce 8500 GT with TV-Out. I would like to use my old CRT-Mitsubishi-TV to watch Movies on it. What I did was buying a connector from S-Video to Cinch (this one to be exactly: http://www.reichelt.de/?;ARTICLE=57611, then I plugged a long cinch cabel into it and connected it to the Television with a SCART-Converter.
I 'm perfectly able to get a picture onto my TV with TwinView configured. A configuration with to seperate screens didn't work (probably because of KDE4). The only problem I have is, that there is always some space cut off. If I put a window into fullscreen there is always some space I can't see (on all 4 sides). That's a little annoying. Does anyone have a clue what the problem could be?
I already played around with some settings (different resolutions, composite/s-video, different tv-standards, etc.), but nothing really helped. All modes that worked more or less had cut-off areas. As I only want to play movies (usually with vlc) I would be fine with any other solution, that makes the vlc full-screen-view fit into the TV.

I used the posted xorg.conf with xrandr (i. e. "xrandr -r 50 -s 1680x1050" to switch to the monitor only modeline etc.), i also played around with "NVidia X-Server Settings", but with no success.
I already used this television with an Intel-Graphics-Card, xrandr was more useful back then. I for example used this script to switch to dual-view:

xrandr --output TV --same-as LVDS
xrandr --output TV --set TV_FORMAT PAL
xrandr --output TV --mode 800x600
I believe this has worked fine. So it probably is the fault of the Nvidia-Card or the S-Video-To-Cinch-Connector (which I hadn't used before). Or it is because of bad configuration.

Yes, I tried different resolutions. To me the cut-off areas seemed to always be the same. I'll go on with resizing the VLC-X-Video-output-Window to fit. Is there an easy way to do this (or cut off certain areas in an comfortable way with vlc)? Of course I would also love to hear further ideas on what I could do about this issue.

Melodyne plugin - how to configure logic for using it?

Currently, to use Melodyne to pitch-and-time modify an audio track, I send the output of a mono audio track to my audio interface, then bring it back in to a melodyne plug-in track where melodyne can record and do its magic. Is there a way of doing this internally, so the audio interface is not involved?

The Melodyne Plugin actually "records" new audio filesfor that section that you "Transfer" and when playing back the audio signal on that track just get re-routed to that Melodyne audio fle. You can set the location and you should keep an eye on those audio file. They are part of your Project assets and needed for your Project to play.
The original files are not touched and still there. You can bypass the Melodyne files anytime.
Make sure to read the manual and understand the concept and mechanisms. Otherwise, you could end up with broken links and lots of lost work. Also keep in mind that some features like solo and mute behave differently due to the "audio file routing" in the background.
Once you are on top those "housekeeping" things, you can dive into this amazing tool.

How to import fonts (for use with g.drawString)?

Problem
I need (and or would like to) import a custom font (.TTF) from my src folder. So that I can do something similar to the following:

How do I import fonts (.TTF preferably) from my src folder? (a link is a sufficient answer)

That's impossible. You need to set up a Family Pack subaccount if you want separate mailboxes.

HP Application LifeCycle Management - URL for use with another Project Management Tool

I'm trying to find a way to get a ALM Requirement URL that will work with other applications. The URL from the COPY URL option (when right-clicking on the requirement) works for e-mails but I can't seem to get it to work for another project management application (Daptiv). We would like to insert the QC Requirement link to another application where the user can access the requirements directly when clicking on the QC hyperlink.
We have HP Application Lifecycle Management Software Version 11.00 Enterprise Edition.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

As Abhishek mentioned we dont need a calc manger or EPMA to migrate classic planning applications. You just need to log into shared services, expand file system and take a file system export, paste the export to the destination environment, now use it as a source and perform an import in the shared services of destination server.
