How to configure flatfile adapter?

I need to configure flat file adapter to load sample data I tried configuring with flatfileactiveSync(csv) reosurce type when I reconcile it says error iterating over objects and failed pls help me on this

Ok.
FF Active sync cannot be reconciled. What to do with this scenario then?
1. FF active sync record processed, IDM object created from the FF as record and an LDAP resource entry created and linked to that IdM object.
2. User changes an attribute in the LDAP resource independently from IdM
3. Why doesnt the FF Active sync correct the attribute by replacing the value from source file on the next cycle?
Answer: it has no means to do so... no reconciliation... it will never be corrected unless or until the source record is changed.
I guess there has to be a method of forcing IdM to process ALL records every cycle to force correctness, However, an occasional recon against the FF and Idm objects would keep things up-to-date and correct.

  • How to configure SFTP Adapter in XI?

    Hi All,
How to configure SFTP adapter in XI?, It would be great if anyone sends a step-by-step documentation on the same.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    About SFTP .
    1) SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
"SSH File Transfer Protocol" or SFTP is a network protocol that provides file transfer and manipulation functionality over any reliable data stream. It is typically used with the SSH-2 protocol to provide secure file transfer. SFTP encrypts the session, preventing the casual detection of username, password or anything that is being transmitted. One key benefit to SFTP is its ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe. By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    SFTP:
As per the latest SAP PI/XI support pack, it does not support SFTP via File Adapter.
So alternative approach to cater this requirement from XI is to make use of Unix Script at OS level to transfer the files from/to third-party systems.
    Inbound Interface - i.e. third-party system ->XI->SAP:
File is transferred to a folder in SAP XI landscape from the third-party legacy system using UNIX Script with secured protocol. Once the file is ready in the XI landscape, File Adapter will poll this directory and file is picked up by NFS protocol.
    Outbound Interface – i.e. SAP->XI->third-party system:
XI is responsible for writing a file into a folder in the XI landscape. These files are transferred to the third-party system by executing UNIX scripts with secured protocol i.e. via sFTP.
    Pre-Requisites:
Public key should be exchanged between external systems and the PI system.
UNIX shell script has to be developed and scheduled.
    Advantages:
    Highly Secured.
Ability to handle multiple secure file transfers over a single encrypted pipe .By using a single encrypted pipe, there are fewer holes in the corporate firewall.
    Disadvantages:
    Two-Step process i.e. XI>Temporary folder>External System and vice-versa
Files have to be temporarily stored in XI server.
Multiple failure points i.e. XI and Unix script execution
Maintenance of an external UNIX script.
Difficulty in monitoring the execution of the shell script as it cannot be monitored thru XI.
Need to generate keys and install it in the SFTP site as a pre-requisite i.e. SFTP clients must install keys on the server.
SFTP uses keys rather than certificates. This means that it can't take advantage of the "chains of trust" paradigm facilitated through Certificate Authorities.
Files from the XI server should be deleted/archived in a periodic manner to increase the disc space so that it will increase the performance.
Note: UNIX shell Script can be executed as a background job ‘or' can be triggered from SAP XI through OS command at File adapter level.
    Check the links.

  • How to configure Seeburger adapter

    Hi All,
Can you pls guide me on how to configure adapter? and also why do we need mercerator and converstion agent tools along with see burger adapter?
Can't find any doc on how to configure seeburger adapter!!!
Can someone pls put light on the messageflow when seeburger and these converstion agents are used?
    Regards,
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
It is similar like other adapters once it is supplied. But take care about security/firewalls settings.
and also why do we need mercerator and converstion agent tools along with see burger adapter?
    >>>Not a mandatory to use along with seeburger.
Can someone pls put light on the messageflow when seeburger and these converstion agents are used? Can't find any doc on how to configure seeburger adapter!!!
    >>>Seeburger EDI Adapter provides an EDI solution on internet via HTTP or AS2 to replace the expensive VAN. It provides some pre-built mappings for IDOC to ANSI X12(810,850,855,856 etc.,) and Idoc to EDIFACT(ORDERS,DESADV,INVOIC etc.,) and has the ability to build your own. These pre-defined mappings transform the IDOC-XML to EDI-XML format.
These transformed EDI-XML messages are then converted to EDI specific format using the Seeburger's BIC(Business Integration Converter)adapter. In addition, Seeburger provides adapters like AS2,FTP(EDI specific) and so on to route these EDI messages to external EDI Partners.
Seeburger EDI Adapter leverages SAP XI's Adapter Framework. This Adapter is used to perform conversion between EDI and XML format. It also provides some canned EDI layouts and the ability to build your own. It is used to transfer the EDI message via HTTP or AS2 protocols.
The most direct way of using the Seeburger adapters is to configure the BIC as a module. There is a software component from seeburger called bicmapper which will allow you to do the following:
    1. define or import the inbound message metadefinition in various formats ( edifact, xml,...)
    2. using a mapping create an xml variant as the output metadefinition or edifact in the other direction.
    3. create a one to one mapping between input en output.
    4. export the metadata in xsd or sda format for import in XI
    5. generate an SDA which can be deployed in XI and used as a module.
Please go through the following links which clearly explains what you want and it also helps you in understanding the same in depth:

  • How to configure File Adapter along with OS command option

    > How to use that option in channel configuration of File Adapter.
There are two ways to use the Os command in the file adapter.
Lets talk about the sender File Adapter.
First: Run operative system Before Message Processing
Whenever any operation needs to be performed uppon the source file Just before XI picks it up.
e.g. Calculate any hash code, backup the file to a given location, create a log at os level, etc...
    ... After Message Processing
After Xi has processed the message, you can trigger a new os level command:
e.g. Trigger a mail, check if the archiving was successful, etc.
    > What is the default path where it is actually runs this OS command?
    >
Theres no default path, you assign the desired path in the Comm Channel configuration.

    I hope it helps.

  • How to configure FTP Adapter for multiple endpoints?

Scenario: I have multiple ftp endpoints (5-15) and depending on some business logic, I have to send data to the right destination. With default ftp adapter configuration, I have to add a n adapter connection factory reachable via JNDI for each destination. But I want to read the different endpoints dynamically from e.g. a database and configure my ftp adapter at runtime. That's because the endpoints do change quite often.
Interconnect had such a feature: FTP Sender: The FTP adapter supports sending to multiple FTP endpoints. This feature provides flexibility for sending messages to different remote FTP servers.
Any ideas on that for SOA Suite?
    Thanks,
    Torsten

  • How to configure network with just 1 ethernet adapter?

I was looking for a guide which would talk about how to configure your network in case if you have only 1 Ethernet adapter. Is it mandatory to have more than 1 network card to configure multiple ports? If not, what are the options available to deploy a Virtual Machine that can have applications which are available over the network. I don't have a separate network i.e. public network as well as management network is of same IP range.
I am having 2 node cluster using NFS for pools as well as repository.

I was looking for a guide which would talk about how to configure your network in case if you have only 1 Ethernet adapter. Just enable the "Virtual Machine" role on the Management network that is automatically connected. You will then be able to add guest vNICs to the same network.
I am having 2 node cluster using NFS for pools as well as repository. I strongly recommend you get at least one more physical NIC for your server, if not two: running NFS and the cluster heartbeat and the guest traffic all over the same network is going to put a lot of data down the wire and you may land up in a situation where the cluster traffic is overwhelmed and a node reboots. You need to be very careful in this situation. Network cards are cheap and you should have at least two or three, I reckon.

  • How to configure a full JMS Sender Adapter Scenario

    Hi guys,
I have to do a JMS -> PI (7.1) -> File scenario, I never used JMS Adapter, and I'd like to tell you what I have done, and what I think is missing.
First I went to the NetWeaver Administrator ->Configuration Management ->Infrastructure ->JMS Server Configuration-> Create ->JMS Queue.. and I created a new Queue from a Virtual Provider (SAP JMS Provider).
The first thing I didn't know how to configure it is which transport protocol I have to choose in the CC adapter (SonicMQ JMS Provider, WebSphere MQ, etc..)
But I also don't know is if there's something missing on the NWA, to create, modify, etc. I read this slide: (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a05b2347-01e7-2910-ceac-c45577e574e0) where was shown how to create a SAP standard queue, and I also read all the documentation from help.sap.com (all the JMS basics and explanation) but I still don't know how to fully configure the CC and how to trigger the messages.
Please, if you need further information I can give it.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to Configure Reciver HTTP Adapter

    Hi,
i am doing Proxy-HTTP syncronous scenario.
Proxy will fetch XML file located in one server.
    (example: www.yahoo.com/exchange_rate.xml)
    i have following problems.
    1. How to configure the Reciver HTTP Adapter.
    2. What should I use in Address Type.
    HTTP Destination or URL Address.
    3. If I use HTTP Destination , The length of the field is very short to accomodate complete address.
    4. If I use URL address, what should I put in all the fields , like Target host, Service Number, path.
I have URL , something like this, www.yahoo.com/exchangerates.xml
I dont know what to put in Target Host, service name and path.
    Please help. thx. BD.

    Hello,
    if you use a HTTP-Destination it uses a rfc-destination.
So you configure first a rfc-destination (in sm59 of type G)
and name it for example RFC_EXAMPLE and then you
use this name for the HTTP-Destination in your adapter.
    if you use the url
    Target host:
    - you can use the ip
    Service Number:
    - that means the port you want/must use
    path:
    - in your case: /exchangerates.xml
    Regards
    Patrick
