I would like to know how to configure the global proxy so that I don't need to set for every wifi every time under iphone 5 ios7. It seems the function is not available under ios 7 right now? please help.

In OC4J 10.1.3.x, presume your OC4J JMS listens messages via MDB which uses a resource adapter as a message listener. The resouce adaper could be the generic JMS adapter deployed in OC4J as the default.
Resource adapter configuration to support MDBs is included in the standard ra.xml file, which lists the message listener types that the resource adapter supports.
The MDB developer or deployer configures the MDB in the ejb-jar.xml file, through a <message-driven> element.
In addition to above, configuration in the ejb-jar.xml file specifies whether an MDB uses transactions.
1) The <transaction-type> subelement of <message-driven> in ejb-jar.xml has a value of Container, and the <trans-attribute> subelement of <container-transaction> (under the <assembly-descriptor> element) has a value of Required. In this circumstance, if there is an imported transaction, then message delivery and related work are performed within that transaction. If there is no imported transaction, OC4J creates a transaction, and message delivery and related work are performed within that transaction.
2) The <transaction-type> subelement of <message-driven> in ejb-jar.xml has a value of Bean. In this circumstance, the MDB manages the transaction. If a transaction is imported, OC4J will suspend it before the message delivery method call to the MDB, in order to avoid conflict.
Message delivery is not transacted if the <transaction-type> subelement of <message-driven> in ejb-jar.xml has a value of Container, but the <trans-attribute> element has a value of NotSupported. If there is an imported transaction in this circumstance, OC4J will suspend the transaction before the message delivery method call to the MDB.

How can 3G be deactivated under iOS 7

Hi everybody,
does anybody know how 3G can be deactivated under iOS 7. After I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 the button to deactivate 3G disappeared. The point is, that where I live the 3G net isn't the best what means that my iPhone is always searching to find the best connection what costs a lot of the battery volume.

This might be correct, but how many users have to switch 3G on and off a couple of times a day, so in my opinion the control center is helpful, no question about it, but a button for 3G would have been necessary. 3G would have been one of the most important controls!

I would like to use the Windows Azure tools in Visual Studio 2013 to manage my Azure Web sites (Server Explorer -> Windows Azure -> Web Sites) from within my corporate network which is secured using a proxy server. Unfortunately, I am not able to use
the Windows Azure tools since the required HTTPS connection to windows azure is not going through the default configured proxy. Instead, Visual Studio tries directly to connect to port 443 which is blocked by our corporate firewall (and yes: there is no way
around using our proxy server). Other visual studio features like NuGet, updates, etc. work fine and use the configured proxy server.
So my question: How can I configure visual studio respective its Azure tools to use a proxy server instead of a direct connection? I already tried configuring the proxy server within the file devenv.exe.config but this doesn't show any effect for Windows Azure
tools.

As we have very similar problems I consider the found solution a work arround an existing problem which will not work if corporate FW policy does not allow such changes.
In my mind, any tools in charge of dealing with some sort of FW protocols should deliver the following information, should make it absolute clear how to setup that the request packages are setup rigth at the first time.
a) proxy server
b) proxy port
c) proxy user
d) proxy users-password
e) proxy.auth.Preference="BASIC"
And for moste tools (including Visual Studio and AZUR Tools) it is absolut unclear
a) how to setup that on a per tools basis
b) OR who inherits this information from whom i.e. use the same as IE does, what if we use FireFox or any other browsers?
I understand that developers requested to cure such problem areas will often have difficulty to gain all required elemenst used to realy test the solution.
But I can tell you: I loos more time figthing down the FW setups for my clients. WHat I do at home in a sniff, takes ages to be realised by all the various clients on the market where each has to deliver the same sort of information but actually does not,
or has it just somewhere, but not in the vicinity of the demanding user.
Good examples i.e. NetBeans IDE where the Option Menu shows very clearly what information is required to pass through a FW/Proxy; but even there, the hint to start with a BASIC authentication schema is not part of this OPTION menu and must be added a JAVA
environment value. But at least, it works.

How to configure a Proxy in OSB with Digest Authentication?

I need a help with this subject.
I have a demand to configure a Proxy in OSB 11.1.1.6 with Digest Authentication. I'm using a Embedded Ldap with Identity Asserter.
I'have configured a DefaultAuthenticator and the DefaultIdentityAsserter to support Digest Password and create a new LdapIdentityAsserter pointing to my embedded Ldap.
When I'll create a new Proxy, in the security options, i can see the digest options to authenticate my username and password. I selected the one of all the options, but in the time of the Proxy test the authentication didn't work.
Could anyone help me?

Unfortunately, a reference trigger can't be used for continuous acquisition after the trigger. The maximum post-trigger count is either 2^24 or 2^32 depending on your hardware. Depending on your sampling rate and how many samples you expect to acquire before issuing a software stop, using the max post-trigger count may be sufficient for you. There are a couple of other options I can think of that you might want to try:
1.) If possible, play with the trigger condition such that it occurs at the start of your pre-trigger data and use it as a start trigger instead. I suspect this may not be possible.
2.) Set up a continuous acquisition and implement detection of the trigger condition through software. This is more software work and is more CPU intensive than the hardware solution, but it can definitely be made to work.
3.) With some creative use of the counters, you may be able to latch the sample clock number that trigger occurred on. This would allow you to setup a continuous acquisition and use the hardware to tell you where the trigger occurred instead of figuring it out in software. What I'm thinking is you would set up a buffered event counting task with the ai/SampleClock as the timebase source of the counter and the trigger signal as the sample clock of the counter. By reading the first count value, you should know which AI sample the trigger occurred. From there, you can seek to the right position in the buffer and begin reading data indefinitely.

How can I sync Calendars under ios 6?

All my iCal calendars have disappeared from my iPad 2's Calendar since upgrading to ios 6. It's now totally blank. I've restored the iPad, to no avail.
Meanwhile weird things have started happening on my Mac (running Snow Leopard). Whenever I sync the iPad with the Mac, iCal generates close to 300 "Untitled" calendars. Fortunately a kind Suppport Community contributer has provided me an Applescript for getting rid of them, but naturally I'd rather everything worked as it did under ios 5.
I'm not using iCloud. Syncing is strictly through iTunes.
How do I fix this, please?

How to configure datasync proxy for a cluster

Hi,
I am in the process of configuring Portal on a cluster and can not get the sync server
to syncronize the data with the managed server's repositories.
I configured "SyncServer" as a managed server and deployed a separate webapp "datasyncproxy",
which is a copy of the datasync webapp. I configured the DataSyncServlet parameters
to communicate with the managed servers' datasync applications.
For some reason the master repository running on "SyncServer" does not recognize
that it needs to syncronize with managed servers. My master repository on the "SyncServer"
indicates that it is using read-only JDBC persistence store. The deployment guide
document states that I should set java.lang.System property: data.sync.jdbc.master.dr=true,
but I do not know where to do it.
Could anyone help?

I've heard these news from your colleagues at CO office. They are keeping me
in the loop.
It would be nice however if somebody at BEA could update the portal
deployment guide. There are too many inconsistencies related to deployment
on a cluster.

Good news, issue is RESOLVED.
Several things need to be done:
1. Copy p13n_util.jar to the WEB-INF/lib directory under the datasyncwebapp, which
is used as a proxy. This needed to be done because of the problems withthe class
loader.
2. The BEA Deployment guide has several discrepancies, so the parametersfo synchronization
with managed servers should be defined for the webapp itself, not for
the
servlet.
This could be done using the deployment descriptor edit from the
console.
Also, the
document states the name for URL parameter as "notifiedURL" (incorrect),should be
"notifiedUrl".
3. In the startup parameters for the WLPortal server, running the proxydatasync
application the following parameter should be added:"-Ddata.sync.jdbc.master.dr=true".
4. Finaly, the datasync connection pool and TX datasource should bedeployed on all
servers (sync server and managed servers).
It took us 2 days to figure this out, but it works well now.

I want XE to validate DTD references made in XML schema definitions. Metalink note 262708.1 refers to setting HTTP_PROXY environment variable/Registry value to do this through corporate firewalls.
Can I set this in XE? If so, how is it done on Windows XP?

OK, for the record I set the HTTP_PROXY value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\KEY_XE to
http://<username>:<password>@<http.proxy.server>:<port>
which seemed to do the trick as far as basic MS HTTP/proxy/authentication is concerned. The proxy software/configuration thereon is another matter...

How to view Crystal report under iOS ?

Hello,
I'm new with Crystal reports.
In BI 4.1 SP2 Patch 3 LaunchPad I have in " Preferences / Crystal report / View format":
(x) Web (no downloading required)
Yet, when I try to view Crystal reports on iOS mobiles, I've a message saying I have to install "Flash Player 11" !?!
=> impossible with iOS !
Is it a bug ?
Do I actually need Flash plugin to view Crystal reports ???
If yes, "no downloading required" is not true...
What is the best way to view Crystal reports on iOS mobiles ?
In fact, I use Crystal reports provided with auditing Universe.
They don't seem to be available in WebI format like with previous versions of BO.

hello Stéphane,
the prompt / parameter dialogue is the piece that uses flash.
you can still view reports without the prompt dialogue but if you need parameterized reports then you have to build an html front end containing the controls to target the report. you can do that with webelements. please see this blog post here.
your other choice is to get / purchase the mobile add-on for crystal reports server or businessobjects enterprise.

How to configure Network proxy to use PAC file on Multiple machines ?

If I've posted in the wrong Forum let me know and I'll move ...
I have been asked by my Network team to change the proxy setting to use a .pac file on all our Macs.
I use ARD a lot and know I can change a lot settings using the networksetup command line tool inside the ARD package and that's great! But I can't see a command listing for changing to use a PAC file.
Any suggestions here people ?

Background
OLTP Source: Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10
OBI Apps: Financial Analytics 7.9.6
We have 49 enabled Currencies and multiple Sets of Books (SOBs) each with a different Functional Currency and I am concerned with the limitations of the Global Currencies configuration within OBI Apps. From the documentation it states that:
Global currencies. Oracle BI Applications provides three global currencies, which are the common currencies used by the Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse. I'm keen to know if the 3 standard Global Currencies can be extended by adding further custom parameters in the Source System Parameters e.g. $$GLOBAL4_CURR_CODE, $$GLOBAL5_CURR_CODE, etc. and corresponding Exchange Rate parameters $$GLOBAL4_RATE_TYPE, etc.
From the documentation definition of Document, Local and Global currencies, the following configuration for the Global currencies does not make much sense:
$$GLOBAL1_CURR_CODE (for the document currency).
$$GLOBAL2_CURR_CODE (for the local currency).
$$GLOBAL3_CURR_CODE (for the global currency).Presumably these should be the 3 standard Global Currency definitions. If so, I want to confirm that the Document and Local currencies get picked up automatically depending on your EBS configuration?

The 3 Global currency codes are different from functional , local currency.
All the transactions are brought into the warehouse and there is no limitation to the number of currencies that can be brought in but for reporting purpose you want to convert all these transactions in multiple currencies to a single currency ...lets say US$ and at a monthly rate or GBP at a spot rate etc..
So in a nutshell the document and local currenclies do come in and there is no configuration needed but translation to a global reporting currency and the rates at which its converted is determined by what you provide in DAC.. the conversion is done by mplt_currency_conversion which is present in each and every fact mapping.

Proxy configurations are most often done within the application software that needs that function and not necessarily done in the OS. That permits you to make very specific settings and not just generic global settings that could conflict with other software.
Can you tell us what research you have done on the topic?
For example, have you glanced through a Google search on "solaris web proxy" ?
If you are hoping to use a specific web server application your forum post might be better placed in a forum space for that software instead of in a general OS forum space. What application software will you be using?
