How to configure IC Webclient on CRM 5.0

Hi All,
I am trying to install the SAP CRM 5.0 system.I was able to do that.Now,I am not able to cofigur the IC WebClient on the CRM 5.0 system.
It would be great if somebody can help me out in configuring IC Webclient.I also want to know what are the mandatory components that are required to configure the IC Webclient.

    Hello All,
    Please note that I changed the subject line to "How to launch IC Webclient in CRM 2007?" from the original title of "How to launch IC Webclient in CRM 7.0 ?" since CRM 7.0 is not yet developed/released by SAP. CRM 2007 is the latest product on the market, so I assume this questions is about CRM 2007.
    In CRM 2007, the transaction code "CRM_IC" is no longer available. The reason for this is that the IC WebClient technology is now also used by the rest of CRM! So there have been some slight changes affecting the Interaction Center. For example, the old IC Profile concept is replaced by a new CRM Business Role concept. Now when you start the CRM WebClient, you need to indicate which business role you want to log on with -- IC Manager, IC Agent, Sales Professional, Service Professional, Marketing Professional, etc.
    One way to start the CRM WebClient is by adding a favorite to your SAP menu in SAP GUI by choosing BSP Application "CRM_UI_FRAME", any description you want, and then start page "default.htm". To assign yourself to a busines role (like IC_AGENT) you can either use the standard HR Org Model (PPOMA, PPOMB, etc.) like in the past. Or you can cheat and assign parameter "CRM_UI_PROFILE" with value e.g., "IC_AGENT" to your user in transaction SU01. Of course, you could also just create a browser shortcut that points to a specific CRM application server (e.g., http://[server]:[host]/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/default.htm

  • How to configure Toplink Webclient on Oracle

    i have installed toplink sample application on Oracle10g app server.
    to profile the sample app, i installed toplink webclient but when i try to invoke the toplink webclient, toplink webclient page flases and then show a blank page with HTTP 500 error.
    can any one please tell me how to configure the toplink webclient on oracle server.
    the steps that i followed to install the toplink webclient are as follows
    1) downloaded the toplink_webclient.zip file from the oracle site
    2) unzipped and ran the assembleWebClient.cmd file and got the toplinkwc.ear file
    3) installed the ear file and tried to invoke the toplink webclient by the url
    http://<appserver>:7777/toplinkwc
    please let me know if i need to do some more configuration

    I see that TopLinkServlet refers to the "oracle.toplink.webclient.control.TopLinkServlet" class file which is not available in the application jar. could this be the issue ?
    how do i get these class files.
    when we run the ant on webclient downloaded from the oracle website, these class files are not compiled.

    I just want to use IC Webclient in CRM 5.0.
    But how can I do this ?
    I use CRM_IC  bsp-application (default.htm) but I cannot see any content
    when I start this, only header of IC is shown, but no conetent, although I asigned a role.

    In CRM Broad cast messaging application is CRM _BM,
    Go to easy access u2013 go to favourites u2013 select add other objects - select BSP Applications- then select CRM_BM Application.

    through IC Webclient ICI interface how can we configure E-mail functionality, As per my understanding, E-mails can be handled in a similar way of receiving phones.
    Where these E-mails can be stored?, Where we define agent E-mail id?
    being ICI is a multi channel support does it need SMPT server support? If No, would there be any difference in the functionality?
    How does CHAT functionality works?

    Hi Geetha,
    Create new CRM business role by copying standard SERVICEPRO or SALESPRO
    Even u can assign business roles SERVICEPRO or SALESPRO  to Oraganization units.
    Goto Org assginement and assign these business roles (Goto-Detail Object-click on business roles (Z or standard)-Save it.
    Assign your BP to org position
    Execute transaction code BSP_WD_CMPWB
    Enter CRM_UI_FRAME in test application and click on execute.
    select the profile -Left side menu you will find the standard reports.

  • How to send an email from CRM that shows-up as Meeting invite?

    Hi, 
    I want to send an email invitation for a meeting to the contact such that it appears as a meeting invite on Outlook. How can this be achieved?
    I know one way is to create an Appointment, sync it with Outlook, add attendees and send invite. But can we do this from within CRM?
    We have a custom meeting entity and we can add our contacts and employees as attendees. But we want to send an email to all those attendees from within CRM such that it appears as a meeting invite/Appointment.
    Please advise.

    If you want to use meeting invites, it needs to be a meeting, not a custom entity.
    You could write code to send an .ics file for the meeting for example, but the point of an Outlook meeting invite is that the organiser can track who has said they are or are not attending, or have not yet replied, for example.
    Note that more recent versions of CRM *do* send invitations out for appointments created in CRM, depending on how you configure your synchonisation (eg using SSS they are automatically sent out).

    Would like to know as how to configure drop-down choices that change dynamically based on customer response in Call Scripts / Assessment Scripts of type "Service Request - Survey".
    I've read the following from CRM OnDemand pdf but was not able to figure out how to do that.
    Call Scripting:
    • Reduces agent training time
    • Provides drop-down choices that change dynamically based on customer response
    • Supports personalized interactions based on existing record data
    • Facilitates up-selling and cross-selling
    • Does not require third-party software
    I don't have a concrete requirement as of now, but was trying to check as how it works. Please guide me if any one has implemented the same.

    Then still you can do it in least effort through code,
