How to configure Internet over BT?

Hi,
I have bought a SonyEricsson m600i, and I'm trying have internet over bluetooth on my phone with a EP-2101\A1 (This comes with Toshiba 3.00 driver, I downloaded 4.00 driver - for XP SP2).
I don't know if anyone has the same setup of phone AND bt stack...
I have been trying almost every setting to make them connected, but I think, EP-2101 needs a NEW driver.
Please have a look at this picture: I can make COM connection, but I can't make a NETWORK connection (DISCONNECTED BT on the picture!!)between my things:
http://wolf.miki.hu/status.jpg
Does anyone have any idea how to establish NETWORK connection between my SE m600 and my EP2101\A1 BT?

Hello
If the paring between your PC and mobile phone is successfully you must add your mobile phone as new modem. This option you can find under Phone and modem options > Modems tab you can find it under Control Panel.
After that you must create new dial up connection and as modem choose your BT mobile phone. With right number you will be able to establish the connection and use it for Internet.
I have done this on this way for a long, long time. I hope that i didnt write something wrong. Please let me know if you will have success!
Good luck!!!

  • Reg: How to Configure internet for solaris 10 in x86 32 bit

    Hi,
I am new to Sun Solaris can any one help me detailed step of how to configure internet for standalone pc. Thanks in Advance
    Thanx
    MA

    OK, the classical way:
    Open a terminal.
    Type
    ifconfig -a
    ifconfig -a plumb
    ifconfig -a
Note the differences, it will plumb ALL available interfaces this way. So, now you can see, which device is your network card.
    Then perform a
    ifconfig <interface> unplumb
for all the newly interfaces (aka those, that were new in the last ifconfig -a output).
    Then, the simple way:
    cd /etc
vi hostname.<interface-driver-name>0 (example: hostname.rge0, the driver would be rge, the instance is 0, and rge0 would have been displayed as an available interface in the last ifconfig command). Add the name of the host into this file.
    Then
    vi /etc/inet/hosts
and add the pair of IP-address and hostname.
    If needed:
    vi /etc/inet/netmasks
if you have a sub-divided network, and you need a differenbt subnet mask...
    Then:
    vi /etc/defaultrouter
and add the name or ip-adress of the gateway... (name only, if you have that name also in the /etc/inet/hosts file!)
    Also:
    vi /etc/nodename
and add the name of your host into that file, so that the system knows, who it is... ;-)
And: For the DNS you can then add the infos into:
    /etc/resolv.conf
    For example:
    nameserver 192.168.2.1
    or some such...
Then, as the last but one step:
    ls /etc/nsswitch.*
    and:
    cd /etc
cp nsswitch.<what you need> nsswitch.conf (should be .files here!)
    And the reboot... ;-)
    HTH!
    Matthias
P.S.: There might be some GUI, but I'm an old-timer, so I prefer the command-line version of things...

    Hi men,

    ! tcp_local
tcp_local smtp nomx multiple remotehost inner switchchannel identnonenumeric \
pool SMTP_POOL maytlsserver maysaslserver saslswitchchannel tcp_auth loopcheck \
    daemon relay.yourdomain.com
tcp-daemonIf the relay SMTP server only has an A record then use "nomx" instead of "mx".

The "multiple" keyword instead of "single_sys" helps performance by increasing the number of emails per connection when sending to a relay system.

  • How to configure internet domain name for P6 website using weblogic

After installing and configuring weblogic for P6 you get the following address https://servername:7002/console/login/LoginForm.jsp to access P6 website.  Anyone know how to configure a purchase domain such as www.mydomain.com have it redirect to https://servername:7002/console/login/LoginForm.jsp Is this configured in weblogic server? If not, what is needed to redirect the purchased domain?

    HI
You could have that domain resolving to/by some DNS servers and set up a load balancer / proxy to redirect every incoming request to that domain / site to your weblogic console.
however , what is it you are trying to do? It is very unsual of redirecting/ using Domain names to redirect to wls consoles.
could you explain your use case in detail please

  • How to configure Internet connection?

    I've just installed Solaris 10 x86.
It did not detect and configure the ethernet card, which is connected to a DSL router. How do I set this LAN?

You need to identify the ethernet card. The name of the device depends on the type of card. Once you have the name of the device you can use the ifconfig (see man pages) to configure it. Usually,
    ifconfig devnam plumb
    ifconfig devnam dhcp
will get the interface up and running from your router, then you will need to add the domain name servers to
    /etc/resolv.conf
    and
    copy /etc/nsswitch.dns to /etc/nsswitch.conf
to get the naming services working.
It may be neccessary to add a default route to your router using something like
    route add default 192.168.0.1

  • How to configure Internet/

Hi i have installed Solaris 10 u5 now and I also have the LAN connection. So my query is How should I configre the LAN? like IP Address, DNS..

    my best guess would be
    ifconfig <interface> dhcp
if you don't know what that interface is.. find it with ifconfig -a plumb
then configure the one that comes up.. if it is more than one.. use snoop to find out which one is connected to you switch...
vi your /etc/resolv.conf and add the right entries...
    then
route add default <ip of your main router>

  • How secure is Internet over cell service?

Based on this thread about using iPhone as a service for credit card swipe
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6657727&#6657727
It seems personal financial data transferred over cell network isn't secured. It makes me wonder how secure is it to login to credit card or on-line bank website from iPhone?

Same as any other iPad or iPhone.
There has been no malware that I have heard of on the iPad.
I would say it is very safe.  I buy on the inernet all the time.
Optional: for a minor improvement in security, change your DNS server to Google
You could change your DNS server to Googles. I use Google.
Google provides free dns lookup.  Their numbers are:
    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4

  • How to configure Internet access?

    Hello !
I'm running Solaris 8 now and would like to know what I must do to get Internet access.
I have a (hardware) Internet router in the network which I use from all the other (Windows-) stations in the network and which I can ping from my Solaris machine...
    What's next?

Put the address of Ur router in the /etc/defaultrouter file.
Check the /etc/nsswitch.conf file and see that the host entry in it has a "dns" infront of it , apart from "files".
Make entries of Ur nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf

Please help me how to configure internet access rule and limited the bandwidth for guest network via TMG Forefront 2010.
    Thanks you & best regards,

    Hi,
First you can create the new network set which is mapped to guest subnet, after that you can create access rule for this network set.
If you want to control bandwidth, you may need 3-party tool like this:http://www.bsplitter.com/

  • How to configure Wake On LAN to work through the Internet?

I'm using an iOS app to wake my desktop computer. It works perfectly fine when I'm within my WiFi range. However, when I'm out of my Linksys E3000 access point, it no longer works over the Internet. So, if anyone can point me to documentation that have step by step instruction on how to configure this through the Linksys E3000 access point, I'll be grateful.

    Hi ohgosh,
I believe your computer is already configured and has all the requirements for Wake on Lan since it works locally. To do it remotely you need to open the regular port numbers used for WOL like UDP ports 9 and 32767. Your desktop IP address must be set to static because that's what you need to enter on the port forwarding page of your router. You may use this link below for instructions on how to do port forwarding on your router.

Another option is to set up DynDNS on your router. With this, you need to subscribe to DynDNS.com. I found some online links that could help you enable WOL remotely:
