How to configure my Firefox thus allowing me to input Chinese characters into the search box by using PenPower writing pad while this problem doesn't exist when I am using Internet Explorer?

I am using the electronic writing pad made by PENPOWER Inc. to input Chinese characters onto my PC programs (e.g. Winword, Internet Explorer, Excel, etc.) But I can not make it happened on Firefox, please advice what I have to do with the configuration of the Firefox or using any other method to make it work. Thanking you guys in advance for helping me to solve this problem.

It's possible that if you don't have Microsoft Office installed, you might not have those listed.

Using Quicken to manage a bank account, I get an error message from the bank that cookies and javascript must be enabled, but I don't get that message when I connect with Internet Explorer.

Firefox allows me to get the bank home page through Quicken. But when I try to login, the error message appears saying "cookies and javascript" must be enabled. I have Java on my system, but in Firefox under "tools/options/ I don't find any way to "enable" javascript. I have enabled "cookies".
I have no problem logging in at the bank site using Internet Explorer, but to use it, I have to designate it as the "default browser" before connecting through Quicken. I'd rather keep Firefox as the default.
A bank tech representative was unable to find any commands in Firefox that would deal with this problem, although she clearly had manuals for both Internet Explorer and Firefox. So she concluded that I would have to use Explorer for this operation, since it allowed control of security level settings. She said that in Explorer, security level should be set to medium.
Is there some similar control in Firefox?

After searching around for any pointers to my problem, the above fixes I listed were the things that came closest to maybe addressing the issue, that I was able to locate. But since none worked, and as you pointed out, it is now clear they will only help towards viewing sent images rather than helping with inserting any images in the body of the email, which is the problem I suddenly started facing today.
Coming to your suggestion, on opening the Write window, the Insert choice on the menu bar is indeed available. And I had already tried using that, by clicking on the '''Insert ----> Image''' option listed. That opens
up the "Image Properties" box but using that has not resolved the matter either. It results in an image box getting inserted within the email but without the actual image itself.
Plus, normally I am able to use the '''Paste''' function in the Edit menu or through right-click, but today the (Cut/Copy/Paste) functions have gone inactive, thereby disallowing me to use that to place an image within the email.

Here is something that you can try:
# Click on Tools and then click Options.
# Select the Advanced panel
# Select the General tab
# Uncheck Use hardware acceleration where available.
# Click File and then click Exit.
# Start Firefox normally.
Once you have followed those steps, you'll want to follow these as well and see if the lines are gone.
Click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
Let me know if this has eliminated the problem.

With Mozilla Firefox, I cannot go to "File" and then "Send Link" so as to pull up an email ready to send via Outlook Express, as I can with Internet Explorer - how do I change the settings to permit this?

I merely put in the recipents email address, hit Send, and away it goes
