How to configure Oracle Alerts For Sending EMail?

Hi All,
I am using Oracle Apps 12.1.1.
I am configuring Oracle Alerts to sent a email.
for that i have set
Unix send mail :/usr/lib/sendmail
Mail Database/Server Name:172.16.0.6
Mail Priority:Normal
In Accounts:
User Name:My User Name
Password:******
Anything need to configure because after submitting a request It is showing that request is successfully completed but not receiving mail.
Please Help.

    But here w_objtype is a custom BO and also w_event  = 'SENDEMAIL'  .This event too
    is a custom event.
    Now i want to know what code is there in this custom BO because it is this BO which triggers the email through  SENDEMAIL event.

    We were trying to setup oracle alerts using workflow mailer. I have created a dedicated mailer for handling oracle alerts related mail.
    Here is what I need to clarify:
    1. Having setup a new mailer for Oracle alert do I have to still configure the Options in Oracle Alerts. This is where you choose which type of mail u want to use ( like Unix mail,Windows NT mail )
    2.How do I tell oracle alert to use the new mailer that I created exclusively for this? While creating the mailer at some point I remember putting ALR in configuration form.
    I am on 11.5.10 CU2. I am on 11i.ATG_PF.H

    Based on the note I realised that my oracle alerts will user unix sendmail. But then If u go to " Oracle Alert Options "
    -- > Mail systems -- I check Unix send mail
    -- > Mail server options ( Do I have to fill this section? )
    My guess is that the send mail will post the email to a IMAP account ( I created oraclealert account ) and IMAP account will push the alert email to Recipient
    Mail Database/Server Name --- imap.mydomain.com
    Mail Priority --- Normal
    Accounts
    Application Installation username Password
    Blank ** Blank ** oraclealert pwd
    Blank ** Blank ** oraclealert pwd
    ** - It wont allow me to choose an application.
    Is there a simple test to make sure that my oracle alert is working or not? I appreciate your help.

    I was wondering how we could set up to receive automatic alerts for new incoming emails on a Samsung Reality?

    Here is how to enable your alerts.
    1. From the Mobile Email application, select the desired email account then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad to choose Select.
    If prompted enter the username and password,  then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad to choose Sign In.
    2. Press the right soft key to choose Options.
    3. Select Settings then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad to choose Select.
     For AOL / AIM select Preferences.
    4. Select the desired setting then press the right soft key to choose Save.
    To disable the email alerts:
    Select Disable or Never.
    To enable email alerts:
    Select Enable or Always.
    To receive email during a desired time interval:
    Select Only During then enter the desired time interval.
    This setting may not be available on all handsets or accounts. Hope this helps

  • How to configure oracle AQ for distributed environment?

    Hi All,
    I have a scenerio In which I have say 4 AQ in which I will post the message.
    Also i have say 2 database.
    I am planning to create an MDB which will poll on these AQ's,  so whenever I post message the MDB will read it and perform a specific action.
    I believe I can create only one MDB per queue, if it is so then I have to create 8 MDB. As there 2 datasource and 4 MDB.
    Is there any other way to handel this I mean without creating 8 MDB as the Data sources can increase to 10 to 20 so the number of MDB will be 20 to 40.
    I guess this will affect the application performance.
    Can I make some changes in application so that only few MDB's are required?
    Any idea is welcome!!

  • Components required for sending Email from SAP [Kernel Release 46D]?

    Hi All,
    Can somebody please tell me the components and the Configuration settings required for sending Emails from SAP system[Kernel Release 46D] to the mail server[Win NT] using SMTP.
    From note 455127, I understood that "Sap Internet Mail Gateway" is required and there are other settings to be done. (SAPconnect with RFC can only be used as the Kernel version is 46D)
    It will be great if somebody can explain me in simple steps if He/She has done this before.

    sendmail comes with UNIX OS, there are versions of sendmail programs available for Windows too, but i guess you have to purchase them.
    Another alternative is a discontinued product called SAP Exchange connector, if you have a Windows environment and MS Exchange server as your mail server, you could use a SAP exchange connector and get your SAP Email config done.
