SIP address
SIP Password
Domain
Outbound Proxy
in one of big SIPs provider but i cant configure my phone work with it. Please help me. I allready installed SIP Voip settings from nokia store.

It'll involve using a proxy put at your disposal by your VoIP provider. Contact them for more details. People here can't help you because they have no reason to know your provider's settings.

How to configure SIP on N8 using Betamax

For anyone else trying to use a Betamax account on their Nokia N8 here are the steps I took (I am using poivY as an example):
- Download the Symbian^3 SIP VoIP Settings and install the file;
- Go to Settings > Connectivity > Admin. Settings > SIP settings;
- Options > New SIP profile > Use default profile and use the following information:
Profile name: poivY
Service profile: IETF
Default destination: Internet
Public Username: [email protected]
Use compression: No
Registration: When needed (unless you want to be connected always to the service)
Use security: No
Proxy server: leave empty
Registrar server
Registrar server address: sip.poivy.com
Realm: sip.polvy.com
Username: yourusername
Password: yourpassword
Transport type: UDP
Port: 5060
- No go to Options > Net settings, select "Create new service" and select the name of the service you just created;
These settings worked for me. If you have problems or configured your service in a diferent way, please reply to this message.

What works for me:
Nonoh sip settings:
Service Profile
ietf
public user name: [email protected]
Use compression - no
Registration - when needed
Proxy Server
Proxy server address: sip.nonoh.net
Realm: nonoh.net
user name : just the part before @ sign password
Allow loose routing : Yes
Transport type: UDP Port: 5060
Registrar Server the same as above

SIP settings on nokia X6

I just got an X6. I don't have experience with any other nokia smart phones.
So what is the function of SIP settings under Settings->connectivity->admin settings? Is it supposed to allow you to make VOIP calls? I read in the forums that a lot other phones can be made doing so. If this is the case, how do I setup my profile? I keep on getting "registration fail"

To be able to make voip calls on your phone you will also need to install a voip settings application. I do not know if this is supported on the X6, it is not listed here:

Need HELP with sync settings foe nokia E51

Hi, i am trying to setup the syc setting so i can attempt to transfer my contacts to my cars bluetooth, i have looked at some suggestions but they dont seem to work.
This is how far i am at the moment.
FIRST PAGE
INCLUDE IN SYNC - YES
DATABASE IN PHONE - C:contacts.cdb
REMOTE DATABASE - i am not sure what to put here it will not accept any wording and has a little red star next to if i try to.
SYNCHRONISATION TYPE - Both ways
SECOND PAGE
SERVER VERSION - 1.1
DATA BEARER - Bluetooth
HOST ADDRESS - as above i am not sure what to put in here and it will not accept any wording
USER NAME - Not sure what to put here either
PASSWORD - ****
ALLOW SYNC REQUESTS - Yes
ACCEPT ALL SYNC REQUESTS - Yes
Any help would be appreciated as i have tried everything to transfer my contacts but cant get it to work

i have downloaded solaris 10 and installed on dell dimension desktop,as i have gone through the instalation guide,i see i dont get netwotk configuration (DNS,DHCP.....)settings during installation,it havent asked me about those settings,It just asked the host name ..after installation i see no network connection even i have my cable connected.ethernet cable connected Its INTEL
can anyone help me how to resolve this issue

You could try the Dell site, but I doublt if they will have a driver for Solaris, Linux maybe but not Solaris. Otherwise try the DriverGuide web site. http://www.driverguide.com/
You could also try installing OpenSolaris if you don't specifically need Solaris 10. Better chance that OpenSolaris will support the NIC.

How to configure print settings in smartforms

Hello friends,
    I was given a task to develop smart forms..everythign is working fine but i am left with following queires,
so far i ddint maintain any print related parameters,
i understand i need to work on three parameters now
1)CONTROL_PARAMETERS
2)   OUTPUT_OPTIONS
3) USER_SETTINGS
now i have seen other forms at our place and seen
in control parameters they pass
p_control-langu     = 'EN'.
p_control-no_dialog = 'X'.
in output
p_output-tddest     = 'LP05'.
p_output-tdnewid    = 'X'.
and for user_settings
user_settings = ' '
but
the same changes are giving me error....
can any one tell me why?
next if i remove them and give them at runtime i get no sort of problem..
so how i do give them with in program?
next what si the role of user_settings...
why is it ' '...
shud it be 'X'..
next when i give print parameters in DEVELOPMENT..
when i move it to QUALITY...(settings will remain same as DEV) will it cause problmes?(like may be in QUA p_output-tddest     = 'LP05'. needs to be modified?)..

Use Tcode OKG5 - Assign the required Cost elemnets to a Line ID, under "Req To Cap" coloum.

For those of you who may be looking for the SIP Settings of your Nokia E51 (maybe this is also applicable to other Nokia models)

But I'm using Voipbuster & so the settings hereunder are for that voip service.
You may just have to change the values depending on your account and voip service provider.
Voipbuster settings for Nokia E51:

What do you mean by "caller ID to work"?
First of all, does the SIP settings of Justvoip work with your E52?

Or the SIP settings work but you are just asking about the name/number that appears on your friends' display screen when you call them?
As Justvoip & Voipbuster are both from Betamax, I guess it's the same system.
You can't just put any number that you want to appear as your caller ID.
As I said in my previous post, you must register those numbers first as your official caller ID number in Justvoip/Voipbuster.

How to Delete Locked SIP Settings.

I tried adding one profile to my SIP Settings. It got created successfully but a LOCK SIGN is appearing along with it. and I am not able to DELETE the profile or edit it.

With all these operations I recommend you TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD and DO A BACK UP OF YOUR STUFF!!!
NOTE: In front of the hash key ( #) there is also a STAR key that people often miss and state that the code does not work.
1.. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data) Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list. The default code for ALL operations listed here is 12345.
2.*#7370# - Reformat your phone (out of the box, tho keep in mind that most newer nokia phones at least n series, e series and s60 based phones have udp - user data preservation so not ALL data may be lost. still it is a good idea to always do a back up of your stuff.)3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is not showing any activity, proceed with hard formatting , turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
3. hard reset - hold the following buttons * (star key), 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons ( for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, /GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. ) For Nokia N97 (unofficial version but works) is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE while holding the power button. Again do not let go until you see the handshake screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service for assistance.
