Hello Friends,
I just installed ECC 5.0. Is java webdynpro already installed with ECC 5.0?? If not how to install it?? if yes how to configure it?? And how to run java webdynpro?? help me please
ThanksNo, not required.
You will need to maintain JCo destinations when you deal with your backend R/3 system from WD but as of now you don't need to configure anything.
Just install and start creating your project in WD Java.
Happy Learning

How do I configure my Windows clients to talk to Mac OS X Server 10.6
We had a MacAuthority technician install the server software for us, but he did not configure the Windows clients to talk to the server. I have tried several approaches, all evidently wrong. Everything I have read says the Windows clients need "open directory" passwords, and he has set them up as "shadow passwords". Heaven only knows what else is messed up. Please someone step me through this -- I will set them up as new users and see if I can make it work that way.
What sort of a resulting configuration or environment are you seeking?
If you're looking to have your Windows clients access storage on your OS X Server and to not authenticate with your OS X Server system, then you can dispense with some of the configuration steps.
However if you're looking to have the same login everywhere (Windows and OS X), then requirements become somewhat more complex.
And which version(s) of Windows? Particularly if you have Windows 7, the options and requirements differ.
It's less common to have Windows configured to authenticate to OS X; it's more common to use Windows Server and its Activie Directory, either in isolation or in combination with an OS X Server in what's called a "magic triangle" configuration. Alternatively (if you do want to set up this direct authentication of Windows and OS X Server and Open Directory), then see Mac OS X Server: Alternatives to Windows NT 4.0 domain control (PDC) technology (HT4945); that uses pGina.
And before you proceed here with any work involving authentication, delegation or related tasks, launch Terminal.app from Applications > Utilities folder, and issue the following non-destructive command to verify your DNS is correct:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
You'll need to specify an administrative password when prompted. Proper local DNS services are central to getting any of this stuff to work, and this command will (non-destructively) indicate if DNS is correct or if there are issues or changes needed.
The OS X Server 10.6 documentation is available from Apple, and that can help provide you with some background in this topic. The 10.6 intro, 10.6 User Management, and 10.6 Open Directory would likely be worth downloading and skimming. Probably also 10.6 File Services, if that's part of your goal. (Running a server isn't quite as no-IT-required as might be hoped, unfortunately. And I don't know of a short cookbook for this stuff; the steps and configurations can vary, depending on your local requirements - apologies on pointing to the docs here.) -
How to configure network with just 1 ethernet adapter?
I was looking for a guide which would talk about how to configure your network in case if you have only 1 Ethernet adapter. Is it mandatory to have more than 1 network card to configure multiple ports? If not, what are the options available to deploy a Virtual Machine that can have applications which are available over the network. I don't have a separate network i.e. public network as well as management network is of same IP range.
I am having 2 node cluster using NFS for pools as well as repository.

I am having 2 node cluster using NFS for pools as well as repository. I strongly recommend you get at least one more physical NIC for your server, if not two: running NFS and the cluster heartbeat and the guest traffic all over the same network is going to put a lot of data down the wire and you may land up in a situation where the cluster traffic is overwhelmed and a node reboots. You need to be very careful in this situation. Network cards are cheap and you should have at least two or three, I reckon. -

How to pick files from ECC directory
Hi All,
I have to pick files from the directory of ECC. can anyone tell me how to configure the sender File apapter? Can i use NFS for the same?
Regards,
Lavanya RHi Lavanya,
With my knowledge two ways to pick the file from ECC using File adapter.
1. If you use NFS, mount point should be created in ECC for the Directory to access from PI.
2. If you use FTP, FTP ports must be opened between PI and ECC. -
How to configure MQ-FTE and IBM Datapower along with PI7.1
Hi Friends,
Can somebody guide me with the steps to configure MQ-FTE and IBM Datapower with PI7.1 for B2B communication?
Thanks,
--Sonal1. What is the difference between JMS MQ and Native MQ? How to determine which one to use?Native MQ refers to a proprietary api provided by IBM in multiple languages including java so that applications running on these can communicate mq. IBM also provides JMS wrappers around this native api, so that a jms client can talk to mq using JMS API. This is called MQ JMS.
2. If native MQ can be used here, what are the steps to configure Native MQ on WLS in my situation?SOA suite provides a MQ Resource Adaptor which can be used to connect to MQ. The developers of this resource adapter would have used the native api to enable the adaptor to talk to MQ, so that you dont have to worry about it. However you will need to configure the properties of your local MQ ( qmgr , q name etc). This is done in the outbound connection pool properties of the resource adaptor.
please check this blog for how to do this : http://soa-bpel-esb.blogspot.com/2009/09/configuring-mq-in-11g-soa-suite.html.
Since your MQ installation is in a remote machine you will have to configure the following properties specific to your environment - hostname, port, server connection channel, along with the queue manager name and queue name
3. Do I need any foreign servers or message bridges to be configured?Not required for your case if you are using MQ Adaptor. Since MQ also provides a JMS transport , you would have required foreign servers if you have to use JMS Adaptor instead of MQ Adaptor. Native MQ is expected to be faster than MQ JMS as it doesn't have the extra JMS layer. -
How to configure, push and test Idoc from XI to R/3
Assuming mapping between imported Idoc and some file structure is fine ,I have to configure XI and R/3 for pushing Idocs from Xi to r/3. I have to make sure they talk.
-I have done this long time ago for pushing Idocs from R/3 to XI but I wonder if it is same procedure or it is different ?
-Can someone tell me - how to configure both for this purpose partner profiles , logical systems etc ?
-And also after configurations , how I can check if Idocs is received from Xi and the entire process is successful?
-does it make difference the type of Idocs during the configurations?
-Are the test for success same for all type Idocs?
Thanks all !
JonHere are the steps:
===========================
First - Maintain the Sender R/3 System:
SM59 : Create a RFC destination to XI
WE21 : Create a TRFC Port ->Specify the RFC Destination Created
BD54 : Create a Logical System for the Idoc Receiver
WE20 : Create Partner Profile ->Maintain Outbound and the Inbound Parameters
Second - Log on to XI System:
SM59 : RFC Destination for Sender System
IDX1 : Create the port to get Idoc Metadata from Sender System ( The Port Name must match the port name in the idoc header - Usually in format SAP<System ID>. eg. SAPID1 [Optional Step. Not mandatory]
IDX2 : Maintain the Idoc Metadata. This is needed only by XI, and not by other SAP systems. IDX2 is needed because XI needs to construct IDoc-XML from the IDoc. No other SAP system needs to do that.
To Enable Acknowledgement:
SXMB_ADM ->Integration Engine Configuration ->Specific Configuration ->Add New entry -> Select parameters as:
Category: RUNTIME
Parameters: ACK_SYSTEM_FAILURE
Current Value: 1

Hi Sivakumar,
If you mean how to archive PO in MM side, please refer to the following info:
====
In ECC system, if you want to archive a MM PO, please use transaction
SARA->archive object MM_EKKO.

If you want to delete this ECC PO, please use BAPI_PO_CHANGE and
refer to the following test data:
Parameters: PURCHASEORDER = XXXXXXXXX
Parameters: POITEM
PO_ITEM = 00010
DELETE_IND = X
Parameters: POITEMX
PO_ITEM = 00010
PO_ITEMX = X
DELETE_IND = X
You also need to run BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after BAPI_PO_CHANGE for updating the change.

How to configure RAID 5 sys using SAS controller for APP CS4
Hi I would like to know how to configure my 3 HardDrives (600GB each) on RAID 5 connected to SAS controller to work smoothly with PremierePro CS4. Mainly to store scratch disk, and all preview files, etc.. At present it shows as one big hard drive in C:\ It shows as follows: OS(C 0.98 TB free of 1.08TB I would like to have at least one HDD out of 3 to store my scratch disk files and preview files... I have installed only CS4 Master Collection + Windows 7 64bit Ultimate as OS in this machine. Following is my system configuration: Intel Xeon E5620, 2.4GHz processor/12M Cache, 5.86GT/S, QPI, Turbo, HT, 4C Intel 5520 Chipset 12GB DDR3 RDIMM Memory,1333MHz, ECC Three 600GB (15000rpm) SAS HardDrives Perc6/i SAS/SATA Harware RAID card All SAS Drives, RAID 5, 3 drive configuration BlueRayBurner1GB PCIe X16 nVidia Quadro FX3800 ,Dual monitor DP+1 DVI Capable I am in a little bit strife on this. I am in a little bit strife on this and Open for any good and effective suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks Nathapushpa
You even have three more connectors free on your Perc controller, so you could add three more disks, without using any motherboard connectors.
I think you have two alternative approaches:
1. Add a smallish disk as a boot disk, i.e. a 150 GB Velociraptor and install OS and programs there and let your raid5 exist as it is, or
2. Add another 600 GB to your raid5 to make it a four disk array.
Of course you could also do both. Breaking the raid out to individual disks means that all data on the current raid will be lost, unless you have a backup available, but it will still mean a fresh install of OS & programs, so remember to deactivate Adobe before you do anything to your disk setup like in alternative 1 or breaking out the array.
