How to configure the AirPort Extreme Router to forward data to Warcraft3?

Your Router and/or Warcraft III are not configured to forward data, on the port Warcraft III is checking, to the other computers on your network.
That is why blizzard says I can't host warcraft 3 game, to make it simple... I need to open a port for Warcraft 3- How do I do it?

The directions were moved on the latest document update and actually start on Page 54.
Open AirPort Utility, select your wireless device, and then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the device icon to open its configuration in a separate window. Enter the password if necessary.
Click the Advanced button, and then click Port Mapping.
Click the Add button from the Service pop-up menu.
The public UDP and TCP ports should be set to 6112.
The private UDP and TCP ports should be set to 6112.
The private IP address should be the IP address of your Mac.

i have connected my airport now with a wire to the modem/router delivered by the local internetprovider (THomson DWG850).
Since this device has not much reach I want to connect the airport extreme wireless and position in the living room to have better reach?
or do i need toc hang the settings in the Thomson? does anyone know where to find the admin password of the Thomson?
    thanks in advance

how can i configiure the airport to function as a wireless bridge?
Sorry, but it is not possible to configure the AirPort Extreme for this type of setup. You will need to connect the AirPort Extreme to the Thomson router using an Ethernet connection.
does anyone know where to find the admin password of the Thomson?
Google turned this up in 5 seconds. There may be others if you look.

  • How fast IS the AirPort Extreme?

I'm in need of a new router/modem to go along with my new ISP and new computer. (the computer is a windows) but i have 3 iMacs and 2 Windows.
I just have a couple of questions.
    1. How fast Is the AirPort Extreme? Does it boost the speeds of the speeds you already get from the ISP?
    2. Is it a router and modem all in one?
    3. How compatible is it with windows? (can I set it up on a windows computer?)
    4. Is it REALLY worth the cost?
    5. What other router/modem combo can compare to it?

    1. How fast Is the AirPort Extreme?
The Ethernet ports are 10/100 (100 Mbps max). The wireless interface is 802.11g (54 Mbps max).
Does it boost the speeds of the speeds you already get from the ISP?
No, the Internet access speed is limited by the connection speed to your ISP.
    2. Is it a router and modem all in one?
It IS a router. It has a built-in 56k modem but it does not have a DSL or cable modem built-in.
    3. How compatible is it with windows? (can I set it up on a windows computer?)
Ethernet and 802.11g are both standards. There is a Windows version of the AirPort Admin Utility which can be used from Windows to configure the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS).
    5. What other router/modem combo can compare to it?
Verify few other wireless routers have built-in USB printer support. Of those few devices even fewer are compatible with the Mac.

  • Is the original iPad capable of configuring the airport extreme 5th gen?

How to set up hdd with airport extreme with iPad?

Is the original iPad capable of configuring the AirPort Extreme 5th Gen?
Yes, using AirPort Utility for the iPad.
AirPort Utility for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store
How to set up hdd with airport exreme with iPad
You do not set up a hard drive with the iPad, you set up a hard drive using Disk Utility on your Mac. Make sure that the hard drive is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) before you connect it to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme.
If you want to access data on the hard drive from the iPad, you will need an App like Filebrowser.

  • How to setup the Airport Extreme for PSP?

Can anyone tell me how to setup the Airport Extreme for PSP? I have been searching the Discussions but none of the posting seems to explain detail enough. A step by step guide would be very appreciated. Thanks.
    PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Sorry, I forgot to mention a few points:
    1) I don't have the Airport Extreme base station;
    2) My PowerBook is connect to the internet thru wired connection with the Built-in Ethernet;
    3) The Airport is turned on, but my PSP's scan cannot locate the PowerBook at all (while it find someone else's network)
So, I wonder if I can just connect my PSP to the built-in Airport in the PowerBook directly. So that I can have internet access on my PSP.

  • How to rollback the Airport Extreme to previous release?

    Hello,
I need to know how to rollback the Airport Extreme to previous release.
I just updated my last generation Airport Extreme to the latest release because it was blinking orange the status light and it requested to be updated.  Howver, doing so, it no longer recognize my AirPort Express nor my second Airport Extreme (2nd generation) that is bridged.
If anyone knows how to rollback the update I will appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    genbaez.

I just updated my last generation Airport Extreme to the latest release
We might be confused by last generation. does that mean Gen5??
If it is Gen5 you roll back by holding down the options key while selecting version.
All the previous versions applicable to your model should pop up.
Just select the one you want.. and it will proceed. You get no warning or other chance to stop it.. so choose well. 7.6.1 is IMHO the best when you are going to mix with older products.
I got about 10x link speed improvement doing extend wireless when I rolled back to 7.6.1 yesterday.
Also you should stop the airport utility annoying you.. turn off the firmware update reminders so they only happen once a week. Uncheck all of these. Ignore the update warning when it will inevitably happen.

  • How do I prevent the Airport Extreme router from dropping with DSL when a call comes in?

I just installed a new Aiport Extreme 802.11n router. I am using DSL and it works great until someone calls me. When the phone rings and my answering machine answers the call the router drops and start flashing amber. My old router did not have this problem. Is there an option I can set that will prevent the router from dropping when someone calls me?

The AirPort Extreme should be configured to "create a wireless network" with the same WiFi network name, security type (usually WPA2 Personal) and password as your existing router. It should be configured as connection type Ethernet and be in bridge mode.

  • What is the username and password for the airport extreme router

I just switched from a wired router to an airport extreme and im trying to access the router information by typing in my router into the search bar of safari, when I used my old router the username and password was admin, admin. but this isnt the case with the airport extreme, does anyone know what the username and password combination is for airport extreme?

Unlike routers from most other manufacturers, Apple's Airport devices cannot be configured using a web browser pointed to the IP address of the Base Station. Any manual configuration of the Airport Base Station must be done using the Airport Admin Utility provided by Apple.
FYI, when using the Airport Admin Utility the default password for the Airport Base Station is the word "public".

  • How powerful is the Airport Extreme wifi card?

I was surprised at how many more wireless networks my friend's HP laptop was able to pick up from exactly the same spot in our flat in comparison to my iBook, and that the HP laptop had consistently stronger signals from the networks that I could connect to.
Is the Airport Extreme fairly underpowered in comparison to other wifi cards?

I used no tool - the comparison was entirely
subjective (ie the relative visual 'signal strength'
scale shown by each system's wireless network tools.
My friend's HP could consistently see 2, sometimes 3
    more networks than my iBook.
The HP is also an 802.11g card.
Good, you're comparing cards that may be compared.
I am pretty sure the antenna is firmly plugged.
    Good.
As a general comment - the signal to my wireless
router is strong and solid - this is not impacting on
my system use at all, but I was interested to see the
    differences!
The values displayed by different softwares on different
systems can't be easily compared. Some use logarithmic
scales when others use linear ones.
Many wireless drivers display network names even when
they receive a usable signal for a few seconds.
This isn't a proof of performance in real use.
You may receive a frame out of 5 from an interfering
network, and your software may decide to display this
    network name.
I advise you to perform an analysis of your wireless
neighborhood with a tool like iStumbler.
iStumbler will clearly show you if you have really
usable networks, a poor signal level network or
    interfering networks.

  • I have a Sony Bravia KDL46W905 TV but I can't get it to connect the Airport Extreme router

My Sony Bravia KDL46W905 TV won't connect to my Airport Extreme router and the internet. It recognises and picks up my home wireless network though and I'm inputting the correct password but still won't connect. The router is set to WPA2 Personal.
    Anyone any ideas?

While most devices should connect using WPA2 Personal, please temporarily test using no security to see if the Sony TV will connect that way.
If it will, then try the more compatible setting of WPA/WPA2 Personal on the AirPort Extreme and test that way.
However, if the TV will not connect using no wireless security.....then it is a no brainer to conclude that the TV will never connect with security enabled....so more troublehooting is going to be required.
In that case, make sure that the name of your wireless network......
Does not exceed 20 characters, fewer would be better
Does not contain any special characters like an apostrophe, asterisk, dollar sign, etc
Does not have any blank spaces
For example, if the current name of your wireless network is something like.....
    rpepler's wireless network
Change that to read something like.....
    rpeplerwireless
Same rules for the wireless network password

  • How to connect the Airport Extreme to Windows 2003 network?

    Hi there,
I recently bought an Airport Extreme. I plugged the wired cable to the Airport that previously was in my MacBookPro and gave me access to our Windows network.
What do you need to do in order to access the Windows 2003 network from the Airport Extreme?
Thank you very much in advance your help!
    Wildeagle

    Thanks Tesserax!
    for your support..
I changed it the way you told me..
it is very simple... and sounds very logic..
But after I did changed it in the correct IP address of the server
and I changed the IP address of the Internet Router (this was a must concerning the AP utility)
1> the internet was slown down..
2> the server was not reconisable by the iMac.. he gives the server a PC status ?!?!
3> the connection was poor and was not found in the AP network
very strange so I changed it to the old version
    is there really no option?
perhaps with the DHCP? or with the Internet router?
    FYI
    I have:
1: Internet/ connected with a HUAWEI router, recieved from my internet provider
2: connect the Huawei router with the AP Extreme Router
3: connect the AP Extreme router with the Server NAS
4: AP Extreme router is the basis.. and from there I do have an Apple Airport Network

  • Does anyone know how to get the airport extreme to recognize my Slingbox PRO HD?

When I run the utility for the SlingPlayer it cannot find the slingbox.
I imagine it has to do with the 10.0.Xx.XX IP address the airport creates so it cannot find the slingbox.
    Any help with this?

Nevermind. I fiddles and figure it out myself.
If anyone has a slingbox turn off you norton or other security software to set things up and then turn it back on.
    Slingbox is an awesome product!

  • How do I configure an Airport Extreme base station to receive and distribute a wi-fi network from a broadband wireless router?

I have recenly upgraded my broadband service and now have a wireless router. My old network configuration was a router connected by ethernet cable to an Airport Extreme base station which then broadcast my wireless network (I also had an Airport Express base staion set up as a wi-fi booster elswhere in the house).
I now have two networks (my original network and the new network from the wireless router) and wish to amalgamate these into one.
Ideally I wish to use the Airport Extreme base station as the "remote" booster (I have purchased Powerline adapters for this purpose) but don't know how to configure the Airport Extreme base station in order to to this.
Can you advise on the best set up for this please?
My Mac is running OS X 10.8.2 and the Aiport untility is version 6.1.
    Thanks in anticipation.
