  • Create a logon group as Message server

    Hi,
please explain me with steps for how to create a logon group as Message server usage for few jco destination is must.

    Hello Kishore ,
To create or assign Logon group for Jco connection use Tcode SMLG :
Create a group name e.g PUBLIC and assign the instance profile of central instance and Dialog instance.
You can create Logon group or assign existing logon group into Jco destination.

  • How i configure the log4j.xml in weblogic server

    hi
i write a new lg4j.xml and i put this in WEB-INF/classes,i deployed this jar in my remote server, but it not reflected. [i am not specify the server logs, we have some API's which is deployed in server for that API log files is configured using log4j.xml ]
i saw there is a option in weblogic - setDomain -LOG4J_CONFIG_FILE='here we give the path for log4j.xml'.I think it's only work for local machines not for the remote machines.

To use Quartz primarily within an application server environment, include the Quartz JAR within the enterprise application (.ear or .war file). However, if you want to make Quartz available to many applications then simply make sure it's on the classpath of your appserver.
You can also deploy it as a jar file or a library module as required.
Quartz depends on a number of third-party libraries (in the form of jars) which are included in the distribution .zip file in the 'lib' directory. To use all the features of Quartz, all of these jars must also exist on your classpath.

  • Change the ITS connection to Message Server

    Hi Gurus,
Our project is using EP7 to access ECC 6 via ITS web access. EP7 -> ITS -> ECC 6
Currently, we has configured Group access via Message Server on ECC 6. We notice that, the ITS is still connected to Single Application Server on ECC 6. Do anyone know how to change the ITS connection to Message Server instead of Dedicated Application Server?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    HauChee

    Hello,
Let's say your ITS port is 8000
The way to distribute load of integrated ITS requests to the different Dialog instances is to call port 8001 of the message server... That's it...
    So basically the rule is:
Always call the message server hostname + defined ITS port number + 1
So in your EP7 system object you define your ITS as:
    http://ECCITSMessageServer.domain.com:8001/...
Same rule apply in the WebAS section of that EP system object.
Then, the message server will redirect the request to one of the available dialog instances of integrated ITS on port 8000.
You will be able to see the redirection happenning by using an HTTP sniffer program like HTTPWatch ($$).

    Marc.

  • Can Portal be configured with Logon Group?

    Hi, gurus:
is concept 'logon group' used for Enterprise Portal?
how to configure Logon Group for enterprise?
    Thank you
    Br,
    Chrina

    Hi Chrina,
don't get me wrong. You still need a dedicated load balancer system to realize load balancing between multiple application servers. This could be a software load balancer (e.g. SAP Web Dispatcher) or a hardware load balancer (e.g. F5).
If you deploy an application, it is deployed to all application servers. A user who tries to access this applicaion could be forwarded (by the load balancer) to any of your application servers.
But sometimes you do not want this. In case you have an application which has very high CPU usage you can use logon groups to restrict the routing of the load balancer. Basically, you tell the load balancer to forward requests for a specific application to one of your application servers which belongs to a previously defined sub set of your cluster. For example, you have 4 application servers (AS1, AS2, AS3, AS4). Now you define a logon group for a certain application (App1), which is deployed on all servers. By defining the logon group you tell the load balancer to forward all requests for application App1 to either server AS1 or server AS2, but never to server AS3 or server AS4.
This way you avoid that all of your application servers become really busy processing requests for the applicaion with very high CPU usage.
    Best regards,
    Martin

  • How to Configure the Communication among Multiple OpenMQ Servers

    Hi,
My application is distributed across multiple machines available in the LAN.
Components running on one machine can only communicate to OpenMQ server running on same machine.
I want to run OpenMQ server on all the machines where components of my application is running.
I also want a way of communication between all OpenMQ servers so that OpenMQ server exchange messages among them to transfer message to destination component running on any of the machines in the LAN.
How can i configure two OpenMQ servers to communicate each other?
please help with sample configuration or example.
    Thanks & regards,

    Hi Pawan,
It sounds like you are asking how to configure a cluster of Open Message Queue brokers.

jlabianco, we want sending group messages to be easy breezy for you! Make sure that you've set up groups for your contacts on your device by tapping People> Groups>Tap the Plus sign to start a new group>Choose the contacts that you want in that group.
Once the group is set up in "People," you will just need to tap People>tap the Group> Tap the menu at the top right corner> Send Message. Keep us posted.

How to configure the use of WS-RM in "PI 7.11 EHP1?
Currently in the editing window of the communication channel (adapter type WS), I can not see any options regarding Reliable Messaging protocol (WS-RM).
The scenario that is required is as follows.
    (Consumer WS-RM) -> (Provider WS-RM PI 7.11 EHP1) -> (ABAP Proxy Backend NW 7.0)
I would greatly appreciate any help,

WS adapter supports WS Reliable Messaging.  But WS adapter is used to communicate between two SAP web service runtime.
Check this blog and its links for understanding direct connection or point to point communcation using WS adapter
