How to configure XMLP as Windows service

I installed XMLP on Windows Server 2003. It works fine when I login in and start the server directly. How can I configure the server so that it start when the server is rebooted without having to lgoin as a user and start it directly? I work mostly in linux, and my windows support folks are baffled. <sigh>

URGENT: How to Configure Ruote to Business Service that invokes 2 methods

I am using ALSB 2.6.
Currently I am working on a project, in which i have to configure business service and proxy service.
Now the problem which i am facing is the following :-
I'm trying to configure my Proxy service to route to 1 Business Service which in turn invokes 2 methods.
I want to know how can i configure this route to business service that invokes 2 methods.
Right now, to execute/ invoke any of the method i need to invoke each method by changing manually in the rotuing flow.
Can any one tell me how can i configure both the methods for the same business service in a single rotuing flow only.
Presently i am configuring it in this way:
Route to BUSINESSSERVICE invoking METHOD1.
At the place of method 1 theres a drop box from where you select the desired method.
I want to know how to configure both the methods in single rotuing flow so that it invokes the desired method without manually editing it each time.
What is the best solution to this problem? I would very much appreciate any help on this!

You can create a pipeline pair, add one (or more stages), and inside of the stage, invoke the a service callout to your business service.

How to configure Apache/Portal to service 2 separate groups of users

Before someone say this is a Portal issue - please read on.
I would like to know how to configure Portal to service 2 separate groups of * Internet * users (A and B) all within the same installation so that when a user enters www.aaa.com or www.bbb.com that user is directed to a public page for that group only.
Currently, when a user of either group enters www.aaa.com or www.bbb.com they arrive at the same public page where they can click on a link and goto their respective private pages (SSO Protected) after logging in.
My installation facts
infra - host1.mycompany.com
portal - host2.mycompany.com (www.aaa.com and www.bbb.com are pointing to this host)
j2ee - host3.mycompany.com
I have configured web-cache to listen on port 80 and direct all requests to host2.mycompany.com:7778.
I used RedirectMatch within host2 httpd.conf to redirect any request to the portal public page.
I wondering if it is possible to read the "IP NAME" and do a RedirectMatch on it. In other words when a request come into the Apache listener - is it seeing an IP address request or an IP name ie "www.aaa.com". Because if it is - then there may be some way to redirect based upon that. My assumption is the "http://www.aaa.com" cannot be read by RedirectMatch - only the portion after "http://www.aaa.com/mypage" ie "mypage.

I don't think the issue is one of Apache (not even sure it's one of named virtual hosts since you want both sites to serve the same content). The issue is one of having multiple .local names point to the same machine.
I don't know this can be done without your own DNS server running in the network.

How to run application as Windows Service

I have developed an appl using Java Swing. I want to run the application as Windows Service. How can I do that? Along with that, I also want to start Tomcat Server as a separate Windows service. Kindly Suggest some solutino to this!!

There is a version of Tomcat that runs as a service. (1.4 for windows?)
As for your own app, there are several free service launchers around (Google for java service etc.) Not sure about a service with a user interface though - services are usually headless. You may have to paritiotn your app into a headless service and a user interface app which communicaes by RMI, sockets or some other RPC mechanism.

a, I suggest use contoso.com as domain name. It is convenient to add urls into our certificate for internal and external mail flow.
b, Recommended that installing AD
and Exchange Server on two separate
Servers. If Exchange Server downed unfortunately, it can prevent AD server from crushing at the same time.

How to disable a specific windows service from a monitor?

Hi,
Recently I created a SCOM 2012 R2 Pool to mange around 40 Win 2012 servers, however from the first day i got heaps of RemoteRegistry Services stopped alert.
What i want to do is to disable the RemoteRegistry Service monitoring, but still can hear the voice from other services.
From the Service Alert Monitor : "Service Running State", i have following options to disable
1.: For the object: RemoteRegistry, it's OK, but i don't want to do it 40 times.
2.For the objects of Class: Windows.ServiceClass: it will disable all Service monitoring
3. For a group: same, stop all services
4 . For a Specific object of class: Windows.SersviceClass, i can't choose multiple servers.
5. For all objects of another class: no idea what to choose.
Anyone has same experience like this? thanks!

You will need to Select override For all objects of class:
Class and disable monitoring Services and select enforce to ensure that applied.

My computer is not connected to a network or to internet.
I want to perform below mentioned tasks locally(in my own computer).
[1] Assume that I am the service provider and I want to publish
the service in a Service Registry.

You need to add to your CLASSPATH variable
the javatv.jar location and to the PATH variable
the javatv_fcs location(not the lib).
You also need to install jmf and jaxp packages.

Hello Nagarajan,
not sure if this works, but under the 'Advanced' settings of your modem in Windows, there is an option for 'Initiation Strings', if you type 'AT S0=1' in that field, that enables the callback security. I don't know if this works with the Cisco though...
Can you try that and see if you get it to work ?

Policy Agent on BEA WebLogic when server instance runs as windows service

hi.
my environment is: win2k3, bea weblogic server 8.1sp4, access manager 7.1 and policy agent 2.2. installation process of policy agent asks for server startup script (startWebLogic.cmd) which i found under my server instance catalogue. the only issue is that my server instance is installed as a windows service and should not be started in a command window.
am i safe with just specifying the path to the startup script or is there another way of dealing with this issue?
might be a dumb question, but it would be nice to be sure that i'm doing the right thing before i go ahead and install policy agent. :)

Hi,
I have not set it up as a window service but can try to help. for one thing, this step is not permanent and if it does not work then you can undo this step by re-editting the script to remove the line you added. This step has you change the bea startup script for that domain to call the agent script setAgentEnv_AdminServer(it ws copied into bea domain directory during installation of agent) which just sets some agent resources in the classpath. If you start bea and those things are not in the classpath etc then agent wont work. So no permanent damage, you can change it if it doesnt work.
I suggest you try it out and start the bea server as a service and see if it works - if not try again.
I am not sure what the windows service would use to start the app server, but somehow it must specify some environment properties and things in its classpath, so if this script doesnt work then you can just do the things in the setAgentEnv_AdminServer script like setting those things in classpath.
Please let us know if it works and if any extra steps required? Would be helpful to others to know how to configure as a windows service.
