how to confugure airport to connect to philips hue website

Sorry, but I'm not familar with the Hue product. From what limited information I can gather the Hue Bridge attaches to an existing router via an Ethernet connection.
To link the bridge to the meethue website the bridge would just need to be connected to the same network that your computer is connected to. Then, it would be a matter of using a web browser on the computer to go to the meethue website and login. Is logging on to this website the issue? If so, does your computer have any issues accessing other websites?
I am assuming that when you set up the Hue Bridge that all of its status lights were solidly lit ... correct?

  • How set up Airport to connect Mac to isp connection AND play music and print?

I used to have an AX wifi in the house with which I surfed, printed and played music.
My isp recently installed a new modem/wireless router in my home. I now have lots of great speed but they couldn't help me retain the ability to send print jobs and music to my (2nd generation) AX base station.
I know I'm going to have to do a hard reset of my AX to clear out the mess I've created in Network configurations trying to get things working. But once the slate's been cleared, I still don't really have a clue about "creating new networks" vs "extending" existing ones etc etc...
Can anyone assist me to set up a freshly reset base station to "piggy-back" on my new isp's wifi network for printing and music purposes? Or perhaps recommend/pass along an article or other reference source that would assist me in doing so?

AirPort Express Base Station (AX) - iTunes Setup
Either connect to the AX's wireless network or connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then using the AirPort Utility in "Manual Setup" mode, make the following changes:
AirPort Utility > Select the AX > Manual Setup > AirPort > Wireless
Wireless Mode: Join a wireless network
    Network Name: <existing wireless network>
Wireless Security: <select the encryption type of the existing wireless network>
Wireless Password: <enter the existing wireless network password>
Verify Password: <re-enter the existing wireless network password>
AirPort Utility > Select the AX > Manual Setup >Music
    Enable AirTunes (checked)
iTunes Speaker Name: <enter desired speaker name>
    iTunes Speaker Password: (optional)
    Verify Password: (optional)
Click Update to write the new settings to the AX

  • How to download an Adobe Connect presentation from a website

    Hi Adobe Community,
I'm taking a virtual course and they use Adobe Connect for our virtual classroom. After the class, the Adobe Connect presentation is saved on the course website. How do I download this presentation?

If the Host of the meeting chooses, they can make an FLV version and provide that to you (there is also the option for MP4, but since that is an additional cost to the organization providing the training, they may not opt to to that). Connect doesn't record the meetings in a video format, as you can see by the pods remaining interactive. If this is a need of yours, please reach out to the individual(s) who manage your online training and request that they provide you with such.

  • How to connect a Philips fidelio to airport extreme?

I just purchased an Airport Extreme Time capsule. I cannot connect my Philips fidelio AD7000W to the network. There are no WPS button on the Airport Extreme. There is a WPS printer connection option in the Aiport app menu option but nothing for sound system. Anyone knows how to make the connection ?

Instructions on how to connect the Fidelio to a non-WPS supported router is covered in the User Guide starting on page 13. On step 4 you would enter the specifics for your wireless network. That would be the network name, the wireless security type & wireless password. You will also want to choose the DHCP mode as enabled for these speakers.

  • How can I get airport to connect automatically to wireless network?

I temporarily switched from a DSL internet provider to a cable provider, and then back to my old DSL Internet provider. My g5 iMac computer connects to the network through a wireless Belkin router.
Since I switched Internet providers, every time I turn on my computer, it no longer automatically connects into the wireless network. Instead, to connect I now have to manually select the network.
I'd really appreciate tips on automating this step. My kids use this computer and due to parental restrictions, they do not have rights to connect to the network.

    Hi there,
Strictly speaking changing how the internet is coming into the wireless router should not affect the wireless and how machines connect to it, but however to get you out of a hole I would say create a new Location for your home and start again.
Basically,Disable your wireless first, then in your network settings there is a drop down box at the top of the panel where you can change and create new locations. Create a new one, then select it and click Apply. Now enable your airport and connect to the wireless, once that is done you should be good to go.
    Hope that helps,

  • How to fix: AirPort has the self-assigned IP address 169.254.166.253 and will not be able to connect to the Internet.

    Trying again.
After using wifi at Hartford Airport, my favorite hotspot showed the above.  How do I fix?

Clear out all your existing wifi names and passwords.. then start over.
This has airports involved but not apple ones.

  • I've had a new hard drive installed and reloaded all my stuff via time capsule and now can't connect to the internet although it say Airport is connected. How can I fix this problem ?

Just had a new hard drive for my iMac and reloaded all my stuff via time capsule, all works fine apart from Safari which won't connect to internet. Airport is connected but each time Safari comes back saying there is no connection....any help gratefully recieved.

So you have the apple rotuer called a time capsule  and you have complete the frist time machine back up? but there is not internet access ?
    If so.
Opem airport utiltiy on your Comptuer :
What is the IP ? > if its 169.254.xx.xx > its a self assigned
Try power cycling the Internet source  for up to 1 mintue and make sure all the lights  turn off.
    In Airport Utility Version 5.5.3 / 5.6.1
Gi > Intenret > conncetiong sharing > Is it off  bridge mode change it to share a public Ip address
    In airport Utility  version 6.0/6.1
Edit > network > rotuer mode : Should be DHCP and NAT unless you use PPPoE to conecnt to the internet then this is automatically invoked.

  • How to configure Airport Express N router and Netgear G router with Extreme

I have a primary Netgear G router (WRT54G) connected to my cable modem box. I have an Airport Express N router streaming music in another room and also extending the wireless network.
I am planning to demote the Netgear router as a switch + wireless network extender connected to my home theater setup (dish+apple tv+ps3) and purchase a new dual band Airport Extreme connected to the cable box and acting as the main router.
My question is if its possible for the N devices to still use N network while the G devices not demoting the whole wireless network to G? That's the reason why I want the Extreme. If yes, how to go about doing it? If not, I will just buy a cheap switch and use that for the Home theater and leave the current setup alone. Anyone who has a similar network, please advice. Thanks!

My question is if its possible for the N devices to still use N network while the G devices not demoting the whole wireless network to G?
Yes. To do so, you would need to connect the Netgear to the new 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) by Ethernet, and then, reconfigure it as a bridge (disable both its NAT & DHCP functions).
In this configuration, the AEBSn & AXn can provide the 802.11n network and the Netgear can provide the 802.11g network.

  • Problems Printing: Airport Express connected HP Laserjet M1319f

    Hello,
I have an Airport Express connected via ethernet to my network.  Attached to it is a HP LaserJet M1319f MFP printer, via USB.  I can get my iMacs and my Windows systems to print to the printer without a problem.
I would like to be able to print logs to it from my OS X Server (10.6.7), which is located quite a distance from the printer.  So far, I've had absolutely no luck configuring the Airport-attached printer and getting it to work.  From what I've been able to figure out, OS X Server expects any remote printer that it attaches to, to be attached via IPP, TCP/IP, or via Windows.  It doesn't seem to want to discover and use the printer via Bonjour.
Any ideas on how I can make this work?  Am I missing something obvious?
    Thanks!
    Sven

See if these guides help, it sounds like a driver issue. Does the printer work correctly when directly connected to the PC?
Ensure that the Macs are not sharing the printer, as this is not needed and the PC should be able to find the printer on the AX.

  • My new Mac Air continues to disconnect from WiFi after going to sleep.  When waking it up I have to manually re-connect.  How do I keep it connected?

My new Mac Air continues to disconnect from WiFi after going to sleep.  When waking it up I have to manually re-connect.  How do I keep it connected?

I had this problem too and solved it by doing a clean install. After that it was gone.
This is a drastic method since it takes quite some time to reinstall lion and all your software.
Thoughts I had why it started working after a clean install are the following:
It looked like the airport wasn't able to reconnect fast enough before the connection timed out. So what could have prevented my mac from being able to connect fast enough?
Apps that consume processor cycles. I love what I would call 'System Enhancers', little apps that enhance my workflow (Moom, Alfred, Dropbox, Default Folder etc). I'm not saying that these are the problem, they might be programmed processor friendly, but check if you have apps that consume processor cylcles. It might prevent airport from being able to reconnect quickly enough before it times out.
Mobile Config profiles. Another thought I had was that I had a mobile config 802.1X profile installed for the company were I worked. It used TTLS to connect to the corporate network. This profile might have gotten in the way.
    And a sidenote...
Routers with hardware acceleration might also be a problem. My router is a Wireless Gigabit Router 300N WL-351 and has hardware acceleration. As soon as I activate that my wifi connection keeps dropping. It is as if a Macbook Air can't handle that amount of optimisation.
That's it, hope it helps those who are still having the problem.
    Best, Jan

  • Airport not connecting

Having a problem with my airport, cannot connect to the internet wirelessly. It is not a distance problem as a laptop sitting right next to it registers three out of five bars and works perfectly. Been having this problem for several months, at first the connection was just dropping off and not working on occasion but every softwear update since then seems to have made it worse and worse. Now my internet does not work at all although it seems to pick up the signal but not connect. Any help fixing this would be appreciated, have tried a number of fixes and been through every used every help tool for connection issues available in the network preferences menu. I have several other issues with this mac however I use it for work and cannot afford for it to be away for repair at the moment. My other issues include dead pixels, optical eye doesn't work (cannot read any type of disc, DVD, softwear disc, CD you name it) And some form of leakage on the top left hand side of the screen that cases a shadow on the display. Has anyone else had problems like this? I love this mac like a baby so its not a chase of rough handling or not looking after it properly. This is my first mac and I can honestly say I am very disappointed by the quality of the product after all the good things I've heard about apple.

    hi,
your problem is not with the airport, it is how you have configured it,you need to check system pref. and make sure you eleminate all security first, you can do this also in the internet connection app as well, this sounds like a firewall issue/

The follwoign Phillipss document list the compatibility.  Since you did not list your iPod model or iOS you ave to look your self.
    Table 20110617.pdf
For the 4G iPod it only lists 4.2.1.  The date of the list is 6/20/20111.

  • Sharing airport network connection to an airport base station over ethernet

    Hi there,
I've got a network connection to the internet via Airport, on my iBook G4 with OS X 10.4.9.
This iBook is connected to the LAN port on an Airport Express base station (for physical wiring reasons, it cannot be connected to the WAN port).
This Airport Express has a dozen other computers attached to it.
Does anyone know how I might be able to share my internet connection, via the LAN side of the Airport Express, to all these other computers?
Incidentally, when I turn on both the Ethernet LAN connection and the Airport internet connection, I stop being able to communicate over the internet connection. When I disable the LAN, the internet connection returns.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    It turns out that in
    System Preferences->Network->Show: Network Port Configurations
You can change the order of the networking by dragging the Port Configurations.
Network sharing wasn't working for me because Ethernet was above Airport, therefore Airport wasn't being used as the internet connection. Having dragged Airport above Ethernet, it is now being used for the internet, and the sharing across the Ethernet works quite soundly.

  • Problems airport network connection

    Good evening;
I'm having an issue with my Macbook Pro (13 inch).  Over night the airport wireless connection ceased to operate; the icon was grayed and the hover message was "no airport card installed".  In the network systems application the airport is indicated as "off" and I am unable to change the status to "on".  Any ideas?
    Thanks,

Damselfly0, Welcome to the discussion area!
...but says it can't connect to the internet because of a self-assigned ip address. How do I change this to enable my computer to actually connect to the internet?
Do you have your wireless router configured to use an access list (MAC address control)? If so, you need to add the MAC address of the wireless interface of your iBook.
Do you have your wireless router configured so that the DHCP server is enabled?
And, at work, my airport refuses to detect the presence of the wireless connection. It can sense others, but not my office's.
A US iBook will operate only on channels 1-11. If your office's network is using channels 12, 13, or 14... your US iBook won't be able to see it or connect. See KB 58567, Using AirPort Wireless Communication Internationally.
