How to connect an Arduino Ethernet Shield on my MacBook?

I have a plan that is to create an alarm with an Arduino.
I have an Arduino Uno and Arduino Ethernet shield. I want to communicate with my arduino by ethernet connection to my MacBook Pro Yosemite (not a router).
I use with the Arduino IDE the basic program (WebServer) but it does not show what it should show. I should get an HTML page as the first image in step 2 of this site: http://www.instructables.com/id/ServDuino-Arduino-Webserver/?ALLSTEPS but that prints "It works!".
I don't understand. I configured Ethernet by putting the same IP address as the one I put in the program.

how to connect my guitar into my new 13'' macbook pro using headphone's port?

  • How to connect a home Ethernet network and Time Machine?

My home is wired for Ethernet, but I cannot figure out how to make it active.
Currently I have my cable modem connected to a Time Machine. Then, the Time Machine is connected to the Ethernet lines that run through my house. If I try to connect my laptop to one of the Ethernet jacks in the house, it does not work. I can however connect the laptop to the Time Machine directly with no issues.
Any ideas on what I may be missing?
    Thank you.

The Time Capsule is indeed a wireless router, also having three Ethernet ports. So it should be capable of handling up to three devices connecting via Ethernet and routing them to the Internet through your cable modem which should be connected to the WAN port on the Time Capsule.
Again, if you connect a computer directly to one of the Ethernet ports in the Time Capsule and it works to get you to the Internet, but you then connect one of the in-wall Ethernet lines to that same port in the Time Capsule and connect the same computer using the same patch cable to the other end of the in-wall Ethernet line and it doesn't work, then the in-wall cabling is bad.

  • How to connect thunderbolt  to ethernet

How does thunderbolt connect to my ethernet?

    docfi wrote:
If an Ethernet to Thunderbolt adapter were available, when transfering data from a MBP to a MBA how much faster would it be than using the USB to Ethernet adapter?
On paper, much faster.  USB2 is limited to 480mbps.  Thunderbolt goes up to 20Gbps.  (20,000mbps.)  But ethernet maxes out at 1000mbps.  (Unless you're lucky enough to have 10Gbps ethernet.)
Short answer: A Thunderbolt ethernet adapter could possibly get to gigabit.  A USB2 ethernet adapter will never get to gigabit speeds.

  • How to connect 2 or 3 externadisplays to the macbook pro 15" (mid 2010, i7)

I have a new MacbookPro (mid 2010, i7) I have 2 HP monitors (20") and a big TV (50") I am setting up a classroom. I want to display 1 screen on the TV (which is behind me) mirroring a secondary screen I have in front of me, and also have another secondary screen in front of me.
So far I tried connecting only 1 HP monitor and the TV connected to an HDMI splitter (after the minidisplay to HDMI adaptor) using an HDMI splitter, and I only get the image on the HP monitor, the TV is black.
I have been reading about the USB to DVI boxes and they seem to work but not with the latest MacbookPro (i5 and i7).
Anyone knows how to achieve this setup in my computer (1 HP (DVI) mirrored on a TV (HDMI) and an extra HP monitor (DVI))?
    Thanks

You will need to talk to the tech support people at Matrox about whether or not you could do what you hope to do with a TripleHead2Go DP Edition. I suspect you would be limited to an undesirably low resolution (1360 x 768 or lower) on all three external displays. I don't know of any other possibility for such a setup, other than running it off a desktop computer with multiple graphics cards.

  • How to connect my firewire device to my retina macbook?

I bought a new MacBook Pro Retina display, with the SSD.  Awersome, but now I regret getting the smaller 500 GB drive, as it is now full.  I will move all my photos and video to my spare LaCie external drives, but they are only firewire I/O.  As far as I know, my MacBook does not have a firewire port.  Is there an adapter, like the one for ethernet-to-Thunderbolt, that I can get so I can still use my external drives?

Thank you Niel.  I had taken a browse at the Apple site but I guess I missed this little gem.  I'll head to my local Apple store over lunch.
    Kind regards,
    Mike

  • How to connect a micro DVI display to a macbook

I want to connect a new 27" apple display to my macbook from 2008.
I can not find a mini DVI to micro DVI or thunderbold adapter. Does this exist or do I need to vonvert from mini DVI to HDMI and the to micro DVI ?
    Thanks in advance.

The FireWire cable is just for the FireWire ports on the display.  The display will run without it.

  • Can someone indicate step by step how to connect my external hard drive to my Macbook Air as additional storage and memory?

I have a WD My Passport for Mac. I have it into two partitions one formatted into Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and the other one formatted into exFat. I don't really know where to go from there. I would love it if somebody could help me with a step by step process.

Have you connected the WD external HDD to your MBA with the USB cable?  It should be displayed on your desktop.  If not, check the settings in Finder Preferences.
Once it is connected, click on the icon and a window will open showing what ever data you have on it.  The same procedures apply as with the internal storage of the MBA.
Some WD HDDs come with their own software which may create unnecessary problems with your OSX.  You may have to get rid of that.
    Ciao.

  • How to connect multiple Apple LED Cinema Displays to MacBook Pro

I have an Apple 24 inch LED Cinema display that I run from my MB Pro. I mainly use the MB Pro+ screen for document editing.
I would like to run a second Apple 24 inch Cinema display from the MB Pro. I am presently running another monitor successfully via a Dynalink USB splitter but would really prefer to run a second Apple monitor. I have enquired at two Apple Stores and browsed lots of sites. Multiple monitors from MB Pro seems ok (as long as it's not two Apple monitors). I would be surprised if Apple is content to pass up the opportunity to sell more of these superb screens.
Grateful for any advice and suggestions

  • How to connect stereo jacks 1/4 to my macbook?

    Hi,
I want to record my electronic drumset on my macbook (logic), but the output on my module is two 1/4 jacks (stereo) :/ Is there a cheap firewire converter that will do the job?

You could just buy a two 1/4 jack to one stereo minijack cable and use the built in Audio of the laptop. 10-20 €.
The cheapest stereo 24 bits interface I can think of is the Edirol UA1EX (69 €). The cheapest FW is more expensive: the Behringer FCA 202 (99 €).
    regards, Erik.

  • AirPort Express connected to an Ethernet network

At home, I have three Macs connected to an existing Ethernet switch, which are networked together and share an Internet connection through a DSL modem (connected to the Ethernet switch too).
Also, I have a Graphite AirPort Base connected to the same Ethernet switch, with a MacBook and an iBook wirelessly networked, and all these 5 computer «see» each other and connect to the Internet without problems.
Now I'm trying to replace the Graphite AirPort Base with an AirPort Express, but looks like I'm having problems to make it act as an Ethernet bridge, since:
    1) the MacBook and the iBook «see» each other, but don't «see» the Macs connected to the Ethernet bridge;
    2) the MacBook and the iBook connect to the Internet without problems, but the other Macs don't.
I searched the Apple site and this forum extensively, but I didn't find a detailed guide explaining how to set up this kind of «hybrid» network (wireless+ethernet) through the AirPort Express. I'm beginning to think it's not possible. Am I wrong?
Is there a method to replicate the situation I had with the Graphite AirPort Base, using the AirPort Express instead?

  • How Can I Connect 2 External Display Monitors to a MacBook Pro? Help

I want to know if I can (and How to) connect 2 external display monitors to a MacBook Pro... late 2006 & the new Unibody MBP.
    I'll appreciate

Requires additional hardware - the Matrox DualHead2Go. For the late 2006, you'd need the DualHead2Go Digital Edition, and for the unibody you'd need the DualHead2Go DP Edition, with appropriate cabling (and a DVI-to-VGA adapter for the late 2006 MBP).

  • How to connect wi-fi connected laptop to the ethernet connected PC??

    Hi,
System 1 - PC, connected to the router+modem with ethernet cable, mostly has static IP
System 2 - Laptop, connected to the router+modem with wi-fi, mostly uses DHCP
I want to connect these 2 systems in order to access the shared data & printer of PC in Laptop.
I tried to do this by doing the following on my laptop.
    start -> run -> \\<ip address of PC>
But I got the error that "Windows cannot connect to the \\<ip address of PC>". When I diagnosed it, it showed that "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (<ip address of PC>) is not
    responding".
How to connect now two systems?

    Hi,
Please take a try with the following steps:
    1. Restart the router;
    2. Reconfigure TCP/IP settings, Navigate to :
    Start/
Control Panel/ View network status and tasks/
    Networking and Internet/Change adapter settings/Local
    Area Connection/Properties./Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)/Properties
set both IPv6 and IPv4 to Obtain an IP address automatically, select Obtain DNS servers address automatically, and then click
    OK.
    3. Run the below command in command prompt with admin rights:
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /registerdns
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
Then try to connect the two machines again.
