How to connect iphone to Yamaha U1 + older style disklavier floppy system?

Hi all. After some searching, I found a late 1990s Yamaha U1 piano with Disklavier that uses floppies. It is in a U1 body (acoustic) and in mint condition with hammers in like new. Plays medium (not too mellow, not too bright).  I would *like* to be able to connect my iPhone (or iPad) to the disklaiver system and call up hundreds of pieces and have the player disklavier play pieces that way, instead of manually inserting floppies. Any idea if this is possible with the older style disklaciver? Or is it as simple as connecting an IN wire? (Sounds naive, but humor me.) Anyone? Thank you.

If you're talking about 5 and 1/4 inch (or was it 5 and 3/4inch) really floppy ones, I wouldn't even go there.
And, apart from that, you're probably gonna have to jump through a load of hoops and then find that it doesn't sound that great. The Synclavier was an example of that kind of thing, but if you try sample libraries, putting them into the EXS, they don't sound good to me - I think the Mellotron had a very classic sound - I have actually used Mellotron flute and strings in one or two pieces because they're appropriate for a '60s kind of feel. Anyway, I suppose I might not understand where you're going with it, you could get a more technical kind of response if you get lucky.
